Responsibilities of our Retail Online Hub Assistant:
- process and list donations on the donated online hub operation to maximize our donated online income stream
- work collaboratively with shop management and volunteers to deliver a robust operation and positive customer experience
About the Retail team:
- we currently operate 100+ shops across the country and an online trading operation for new and donated goods
- retail and trading play a key role in growing income and introducing new audiences to Cats Protection.

Aim and influence
· Assist the manager to achieve weekly/ annual sales and profit targets for each shop.

About Guildford Cathedral

The Role
The Shop Assistant will support the Shop Manager by opening the Shop on one day per week and other days by mutual agreement. The post holder works enthusiastically as part of the Cathedral’s team of staff and volunteers to help deliver our vision. Lone working is sometimes required but another Staff member (Virger) will always be on site and contactable.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Shop Manager in daily operations.
- Supervise and support volunteers.
- Process sales, including cash and card payments.
- Maintain shop cleanliness, tidiness, and stock presentation.
- Assist customers and handle inquiries.
- Manage stock, orders, and accounts with the Shop Manager.
- Ensure effective administration of sales and inventory.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including management and volunteers.

At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re going big on charity retail. We already have nine shops located in Westbury-on-Trym, Yate, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cinderford, Bath, Thornbury and Keynsham but plan to open up to four new shops a year over the next five years, giving our charity a physical presence in the heart of communities we have served since 2007.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join Barnardo's as a Team Manager within the Resilient Families Service, working across RCT, to support children, young people and their families. Our team is split into two areas covering the East and West of RCT. There is a Team Manager post in each area, and this vacancy is for the Team Manager of the East Team, covering the Cynon Valley and East half of Taff Ely.
What is the Resilient Families Service?
The Resilient Families Team is part of the Resilient Families Service providing an early intervention and prevention service for families with children/young people aged 0-18yrs across Rhondda Cynon Taff. The service increases the resilience levels of the children, young people and their families through working alongside other partner agencies to ensure intervention plans are effectively delivered, delivering direct support and advocating for the children, young people and their families.
What will the job involve?
As a Team Manager you will be a registered Social Worker and will line manage the team of Intervention Workers who are responsible for providing advice, guidance and support to families in accordance with the aims and objectives of the service. You will be responsible for:
• Direct line management of a team of Intervention Workers supporting well-being, development, case work, performance and behaviour.
• Case allocation, monitoring, quality assurance and audit
• Responding to all safeguarding concerns received via C1/PPN referrals, disclosures or observations and escalating to Children's Services appropriately.
• Working in partnership with the Resilient Families Service Management Team, Children's Services, Education, Health and Community Agencies.
Please note, this role requires a Social Work qualification as an essential part of the criteria, however you will not hold any statutory duty as a Social Worker. You will be managing an early intervention service and supporting the team to deal with, respond and escalate any safeguarding concerns to Children's Services.
What are we looking for?
• Substantial experience working with children, young people and their families
• Management or supervision experience in a relevant setting with the capability in giving feedback to teams in relation to performance
• Demonstratable record of working constructively with partner agencies and commissioners
• Substantial experience of responding to, and escalating safeguarding concerns
• Demonstrable experience of promoting and developing a positive culture within a team setting

The Foodshop is an initiative of Sutton Community Works based in St Nicholas Shopping Centre in Sutton aimed at supporting those struggling on low income. Members pay £4 a visit and get access to approx. £27 worth of fresh, chilled, frozen, and ambient foods.
We normally serve 120 customers a week during our opening times of 10-12noon Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It is the aim over time that you would only work alternate Saturdays.
This is achieved through a small staff team and 50 volunteers who are mainly drawn from local churches and whom you will manage. You will be responsible for maintaining the Christian ethos and culture of the Foodshop. As Manager you will have pastoral responsibility for staff and volunteers which will involve setting a culture of prayer before, during and after sessions and offering pastoral support and prayer where approptiate to staff and volunteers. You will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the Food Shop which includes managing food stock levels. You will be part of a wider Sutton Community Works staff team and be expected to join staff prayers every Monday morning and regularly lead devotions and prayer.
Our aim is to enable residents out of Food Poverty through the Foodshop and linking them with further support to address underlying issues. This includes offering prayer; spiritual support and linking customers in with churches groups within the borough.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the passion and heart to serve those in need.

At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re going big on charity retail. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Support the Director of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing to develop and promote new fundraising campaigns, including individual giving and regular giving campaigns
- Support the Director of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing to launch a new Gifts in Wills campaign and support the delivery of legacy fundraising.
- Work with colleagues across the fundraising, marketing, and communications team and the wider organisation to support the development of integrated fundraising and marketing campaigns. In 2025, our priority is the delivery of a 60-anniversary campaign.
People management
- Manage a Fundraising Assistant, setting objectives and overseeing their work.
- Support the Fundraising Assistant’s professional development by providing mentoring and identifying opportunities for professional development.

- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Fundraising, Communications and Marketing team and colleagues across the organisation.
