About us
Who we are
We believe every life-limited or dying child and their family should have the opportunity to make every moment count and get the support they need.
Our specialist care and support is free of charge to families and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It includes specialist nursing in the community, symptom management and pain relief, overnight respite stays, end-of-life care, specialist bereavement care and a comprehensive range of therapies, groups and clinics for the whole family. We support over 700 families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved.
At Shooting Star Children’s Hospices our aim is to deliver highly professional services which place children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and families facing the immensity of grief following the death of a child, at the heart of everything we do. We’re always on the lookout for talented and caring people who want to join our fantastic team and make a difference to families living across Surrey, south-west London and north-west London.
“The best thing about my job is the children – they are superstars. Their life is full of hospital appointments and medications and every day is a struggle for them, but they are incredibly brave. I feel privileged to be part of what they’re going through and offer care and support – it’s fulfilling to be able to treat them, ease their pain and put a smile on their face.” Jess, Nurse at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
We offer a lovely place to work with generous benefits, so if you want to help us reach our ambition of supporting every family with a life-limited child or whose child has died, when they need us, find your perfect role with us today.
