What you’ll do: 

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project officers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
• Build and maintain the team’s programme of activities, ensuring resources are appropriately planned to deliver individual projects as needed.
• Work with the Head of Workforce Development and Training and Workforce Project Officers to plan and agree deliverable programmes of work over the college year.
• Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of workforce development initiatives, ensuring alignment with RCR objectives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest impact and reach.
• Establish and oversee necessary quality assurance mechanisms for workforce and training programmes.

Purpose of the role

Tech Angels (previously Tech to Community Connect) is a service which aims to reduce digital exclusion across Surrey. In recent years, and particularly now in a post-pandemic society, so much connection happens digitally; those without the knowledge or equipment to connect to the internet are at a very high risk of loneliness and isolation, which have a significant negative impact on physical and mental health.

To combat this, we provide devices on long term loan to people who are disabled or living with a health condition, family carers, of older age, or to those with another vulnerability. We also offer a ‘match’ with one of our team of volunteer Tech Angels, to help with digital literacy and confidence.  We also supply sim cards with data to those, who don’t have wi-fi, so that they can be connected. 

The purpose of the role will be to drive and coordinate referrals into and through the service, making sure that people facing digital exclusion get the support they need to get (and stay) connected.  Ultimately the outcomes we are focused on achieving are a reduction in health inequality and an increase in wellbeing.

Main responsibilities

1. Coordination of Tech to Community Connect activity in a defined part of Surrey

2. Communication with people using the service, carers, volunteers, organisations that may have referred to the service and other stakeholders

3. Database management, record keeping and impact measurement following all data security policies

4. On-going support for people using the service who are in a ‘match’ with a volunteer Tech Angel, those waiting for a ‘match’ or those who are accessing another part of the service

5. Writing case studies and sharing the stories of people the service is helping

6. Promoting the service by pro-actively building relationships across organisations and groups in Surrey

7. Working as a team to ensure we are delivering the highest quality of services

Person specification

It is essential that you have:

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a range of formats and with a variety of audiences 

· Advanced organisation and coordination skills

· Good level of computer literacy including all Microsoft packages with experience of using a range of databases

· A high degree of self-motivation and able to work on own initiative

· Live within Surrey and be prepared to travel across the county when required

· The ability to either work from home (with regular work in the community) or be based in our office in Burpham, Surrey

It is desirable that you have:

· Experience and knowledge of working with people who are Disabled, have a long-term health conditions and/or carers

· Experience and/or knowledge of working or volunteering in digital inclusion or technology training

· Confident and persuasive presentation skills

· Experience in group facilitation or training

· Volunteer management knowledge and experience

· A good understanding of the Health, Social Care and Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS)

Earlier this year, we built a brand-new events function, and we’re looking for the final member to join this small but perfectly formed team of professionals (team consists of a Senior Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, and two Events and Sponsorship Coordinators).

If you have some events and/or sponsorship experience and are looking to develop your career in a friendly yet fast-paced environment, then this is the role for you. We are excited to be recruiting a Philanthropy Manager to join our Fundraising Team. This is a new role which will be instrumental in setting us up well to grow income from major donors over the coming years. We are looking for an experienced major donor fundraiser, who can bring their skills and expertise to take this strand of fundraising to the next level. The role is being recruited on a fixed term basis, with a possibility to convert it to a permanent post after 12 months, subject to performance.

The Philanthropy Manager will build relationships and secure funding from high-net-worth individuals, working closely with the Director of Philanthropy, CEO, and a newly established fundraising committee to develop this area of fundraising. This will involve developing new events and stewardship opportunities to create engaging experiences for prospective and existing supporters. The post will report into the Director of Philanthropy.

This role can be based at any of our four Brilliant Club offices, located in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Cardiff. We expect some travel will be required (mainly to London) for events and to attend in-person meetings.

Overall purpose

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.

You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

The City and Guilds of London  Art School is a small, independent Higher Education Institute. It traces its history back to the 1850s and has strong links to a number of City Livery Companies as well as certain Trusts and Foundations and individual donors. John Lyon’s Charity is delighted to be recruiting for a Grants Manager to join its dynamic Grants Team. This is an exciting time to join the Charity as it embarks on a new chapter of our strategic objectives in grant giving. The Grants Manager will be responsible for their own portfolio of grants as well as supporting the Grants Directorate with the development and execution of the Charity’s strategic objectives to maximise the benefit of the Charity’s funding.

The Grants Manager will be responsible for end-to-end grant-making; assessing applications, making recommendations and monitoring of a portfolio of grants. The grants will be broad in range from smaller, single year grants under the School Holiday Activity Fund to multi-year, large grants within the Open Grants Programme. The role holder will work closely with other members of the Grants Team, including the Directors, to support learning, develop special initiatives and contribute to the creation of policy and processes. The role will suit someone with previous grant-making experience who is seeking to develop their expertise in place-based grant-making and/or the CYP sector. Given the nature of the existing portfolio, experience of working with cultural organisations and education settings would be a particular benefit.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to support the Head of Membership Engagement in the overall development and delivery of commercial revenue streams at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. This will include all current sponsorship for conferences, including our flagship Fundraising Convention, corporate membership, and strategic partnerships. 

Job purpose:

• Recruiting, retaining, and developing corporate members.
• Identifying and securing new sponsors and exhibitors for the Chartered Institute’s event business, including one-day conferences, webinars, and Fundraising Convention.
• To identify, secure, and nurture long-term strategic partnerships.

​Key Accountabilities

• Work and support the Head of Membership Engagement across the following income streams:
  • Fundraising Convention: Responsible for the overall management of expo – planning, sales and invoicing;
  • Fundraising Convention sponsorship: lead on this and assist the Executive Director when required;
  • One-day conference sponsorship and expo: to be partnership lead on day-to-day conference sponsorship sales including print advertising;
• Develop partnership support for the strategic objectives of the Chartered Institute;
• Work with the Membership Team, supporting all areas of membership where required;
• Strategic corporate partnerships: Work with key clients and provide support for the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s portfolio of events, including Group events.

Business Development

• To be client-focused and visible in the marketplace with sponsors and supporters.
• To create a plan for growing expo, conference, and corporate supporter revenue.
• To work with the Head of Membership Engagement and Executive Team to highlight potential new partners and create a strategy to increase support from existing customers.
• To work closely with the Professional Development Team to maximise all revenue-generating opportunities.

Financial

• Work closely with the Finance Team to maintain accurate reporting of revenues.

Marketing

• Work with the Marketing Team to ensure all commercial opportunities are optimised across all promotional materials.

Administration

• To collate all materials and information from all Fundraising Convention sponsors.
• To manage the Convention expo pack and any administrative requirements of Fundraising Convention exhibitors.
• To attend Fundraising Convention and provide administrative support to all sponsors, exhibitors and partners as required.
• To be responsible for the overall management of the Fundraising Convention exhibition, including planning, sales, and invoicing.
• Any other administrative duties required to deliver the partnership strategy.

Other

Accountabilities also include a responsibility on behalf of the job holder to undertake any other duties that are relevant to the job as requested by their line manager.

This post is responsible for managing the development of income, generating opportunities as part of the Training, Education and Development team through a range of educational activities and the hiring of the purpose-built Education Centre at St Joseph’s Hospice. In addition to developing income streams, the manager will lead on audit, administration, governance and quality assurance activities on behalf of the team.
