The purpose of the post is to work with a wide range of partners and volunteers to build active, more connected and resilient communities within the city of Salford. This includes recruiting, training and supporting volunteers and VCSE organisations to engage in civil contingencies and humanitarian responses within the city, and more broadly supporting the development of our volunteering work across multiple services.
Salford CVS delivers a range of projects and services that build resilient communities and encourage local people to be active citizens.
The postholder will primarily work on our Volunteering and Emergency Response activity, including the development and delivery of Salford CVS’s own volunteering programmes. We anticipate that, while it will fluctuate throughout the year, the postholder will spend roughly half their time on Emergency Response related work, and half their time on volunteering related work (although both areas overlap).

About the role
An exciting brand new role in a busy supporter experience team you are responsible for delivering income growth, leading on fundraising campaign delivery including acquisition and retention activities.

Our bank of retention and acquisition work currently includes print appeals, digital campaigns, inserts, press ads, social media and telemarketing acquisition, online lottery, raffle and more! As you direct the marketing team, it is essential you'll be able to use your fundraising knowledge to edit copy and feedback on campaigns based on your experience of how to uplift response. This knowledge will be developed in your ongoing regular work monitoring the teams results and performance, putting these learnings into action with the creative, data and planning decisions that you make. Linking creative decisions with data and analysis is key and we welcome the new ideas that brings. About the role
Location: Home based, flexible location within the Essex & Hertfordshire area.
Alzheimer’s Society Local Services teams provide exceptional information, advice and guidance for people affected by dementia. As a Local Services Manager, you will be home based, leading and inspiring geographically dispersed teams, whilst working as part of a wider Area Management Team, to deliver these fantastic services.
Your work will primarily be as an operational leader, managing our dementia support & groups services across Hertfordshire. You will also have a great opportunity to build relationships and engage external stakeholders, including working closely with Local Authorities and Health colleagues and Commissioners within an Integrated Care System setting.
Internally, you will lead your teams with compassion, attention to detail and the passion to make a difference, every day, to people with and affected by dementia.
