Prisoners Abroad is a unique UK-based human rights and welfare charity providing advice and support to people affected by overseas imprisonment. We help British people during their incarceration, when they return to the UK and need support to resettle and reintegrate, and we also support their family and friends throughout the trauma.

As a caseworker you will be the first point of contact for many people who want to use our services - some distressed because they’ve just found out their loved on is in prison, others wanting us to book a prison visit or those that want to talk about their situation.
You will provide practical information, advice and emotional support and liaise with British embassies and other authorities around the world to discuss cases and issues.
You don’t need to have previous casework experience, but you must have a real empathy for our work, be an articulate, sensitive communicator, able to use your creative problem-solving skills, and be someone who will enjoy working in a small team to deliver and develop our services.
It is desirable if you can speak French to a standard that you are confident in making phone calls. A willingness to learn and work with initiative is essential, as is meticulous attention to detail.
This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis. We offer 30 days’ annual leave a year in addition to bank holidays and a 6.5% employer contributory pension (minimum employee contribution of 1.5%) as well as a range of enhanced leave and as much tea and ground coffee as you can drink! We deliver our services from our purpose-built office that is located a 3-minute walk from Finsbury Park Station (zone 2) which is 10 minutes from Oxford Circus and serviced by the Thameslink, Victoria & Piccadilly lines.

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager focusing on our Outreach support across the Northwest. This purpose of this role is to manage and maintain high levels of service delivery. You will directly oversee four Coordinators. You will work with those Coordinators to ensure that; contractual KPI's are met, clients are supported effectively, staff are developed, and internal process and procedures are followed, to a high standard. Where required, you will also play a role in implementing service and system improvements
Responsibilities
- Oversight, line management, and support of Coordinators, incl. effective supervisions and yearly appraisals.
- Ensure all KPIs and service standards are met by staff incl. referrals, exits, paperwork submission.
- Use baseline, checklists, quality control and other systems to monitor and support effective service delivery.
- Ensure staff effectively carry out their roles, as per their job description.
- Manage service user or external complaints with the support of Senior Service Manager.
- Work with the other Service Managers, and all stakeholders to use, support and develop appropriate systems and processes, to ensure that services function effectively.
- Ensure all service users are being supported effectively, and assist Coordinators with problem-solving and managing incidents/safeguarding issues, where necessary

- Ensure all staff are supported and managed effectively, incl. ensuring annual-leave/sickness/TOIL procedure is followed by Coordinators.

- Oversight and regular monitoring of CMS (client-management-system).
- Maintain and develop local services and agency links, attending suitable networking meetings as requested.
- Attend relevant team meetings – incl. management meetings, and local team meetings.
- Communicate with the Salvation Army team where necessary.
- Work alongside P&C team to support Coordinators in managing or problem-solving any HR-related issues.
- Assist in developing and delivering training for staff.
- Communicating with the finance team appropriately with regards to month-end, financial requirements for the local services, and problem-solving.
- Sign off expenses and spend in-line with expenses policy.
- Oversight of staff and on-call rotas.

- Take a role in supporting volunteers in the region, when required.
- To be ‘on-call’, out of hours approximately one week in four - managing and accepting referrals, and dealing with out-of-hours incidents.

Forcesline is SSAFA's frontline telephone service handling both day-to-day and more complex enquiries from the Armed Forces community.
This role is responsible for the management and development of the Forcesline service and will also act as point of contact for the Veterans Gateway. The Manager will lead and support a team of advisors, developing the service in response to the needs of the clients and technological requirements, as well as ensuring a high quality of service. The role involves the preparation of data, briefings, presentations and some media work.
About the role
This role requires the management of a small team of advisors who provide free confidential listening, information and signposting service for serving personnel, their families, veterans and professionals who are looking for help. It requires a resilient individual who is able to both support the team and develop the service as it moves forward with advances in technology enabling wider means of communicating with those it is helping. It is an exciting time to join as these changes are currently occurring and you will be involved with this transition.
About the team
You will work with a great team of advisors who are both experienced and skilled. All Forcesline Welfare Advisors are trained in Safeguarding and each practitioner has at least a Level 2 Counselling qualification. Their experience covers former Samaritans, Pastrol Care, Social Work and Police Despatch Calling. As a team they learn and support one another. You as their Manager will be fully involved with this and will ensure SSAFA delivers on its mission as a trusted source of support to the Armed Forces Community as their times of need.
About you
You will have had experience in delivering welfare support to others, and ideally this has been gained through a helpline. While the team is small, some management experience would be desirable. You will also need to be technically competent as most of this work will be done virtually through digital means.

About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to be based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital this role will compliment the Hospital IDVA based at Bedford Hospital. This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse predominately risk assessed as standard/medium to compliment our high risk service across Bedfordshire. This is a key role at the hospital working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to hospital staff and local partner agencies
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

About the role:
The Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will deliver on income and our fundraising strategy, while playing a key role in the senior leadership team (SLT).
Your focus will be driving income and donor engagement via major donors, corporates and special events and initiatives.

- Act as a key member of SLT, reporting to the CEO and working closely with associated peers to deliver and achieve the organisational strategy

We are seeking a Therapeutic Practitioner to join our newly established Health Team. This specialist role will enhance our current provision and improve the quality and breadth of mental health support available to young people. The successful candidate will work within the Health Team, in collaboration with our partner organisation Camden & Islington Young People's Service, to deliver 1:1 emotional and practical support, assist in our drop-in service, and facilitate workshops for all young people experiencing homelessness.

Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. Our vision is a world in which all women and girls are economically equal and live their lives free of abuse and exploitation.
Economic abuse is a form of coercive and controlling behaviour: 95% of women who experience domestic abuse will experience economic abuse. It limits their choices and ability to access safety.

About the Compass Project
The Compass Project Coordinator will work as part of an exciting new partnership between Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA), Living Without Abuse (LWA) and RISE (Refuge, Information, Support & Education). The Compass Project seeks to develop best practice responses to economic abuse within the coordinated community response by working with local professionals to help them understand and respond to economic abuse.
About the Compass Project Coordinator role
The Compass Project Coordinator will work to:
- Act as a point of contact for stakeholders across the Project areas (Brighton & Hove, Leicester, Rutland and Leicestershire), coordinating stakeholder engagement and access to training and resources.
- Work closely with the Interim Women’s Sector Manager to coordinate and implement the Compass Project in pilot sites.
The Compass Project Coordinator will:

Free Tibet is a small but effective campaign organisation based in south London. We’re looking for a Fundraising Manager who can transform our routine fundraising and lead expert strategies for income generation. This role is best suited to an experienced fundraiser who is confident in managing multiple streams of income and a small team. We are currently implementing a pay grading system at Free Tibet, offering increases with each year of service. The salary for this position starts at up to £45,000 based on the successful candidate’s experience.
Location
