This role is home-based but requires extensive, independent travel with your own transport across Bournemouth and Dorset.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Time for Dementia programme, as the programme expands across the South of England to Bournemouth University. This role will be working directly with Bournemouth University to support the implementation of Time for Dementia within their curriculum as well as to find and enrol families affected by dementia to take part.
You will lead in the area of promoting Time for Dementia and networking, building, and maintaining relationships with external organisations. You will be responsible for enrolling families affected by dementia into the programme and supporting them throughout their involvement.

Purpose of the Job:

This role is within our crisis alternative service – Safe Space - which is an out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. The service operates 365 days a year from 12:00pm(midday)-11:30pm across all of our boroughs. The shift pattern for this role is 4:30-11:30pm. This will be on a rota basis across support workers.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone on a one-to-one or group basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis. This will consist of 1:1 support; de-escalating and providing interventions, signposting for specialised or longer-term support, and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The aim of this service is to de-escalate and prevent further crises.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in HFEH.
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation, planned wellbeing activities etc.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis.
• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing a person centred and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles and responsibilities.
• Promoting people’ rights and responsibilities
• Working collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and developing flexible and realistic crisis support packages/person centred plans
• Listening to clients and encouraging positive steps towards self-management of crisis and recovery
• Providing advice, information, practical and emotional support to clients
• Proactively recognising the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies e.g. CATT, Emergency Duty Teams, CMHTS, etc
• Engaging with clients to show empathy, inspire hope and promote recovery
• Establishing supportive, empowering and respectful relationships with clients and carers/ family

You will have:

• Minimum of 1 year working in mental health services and with clients experiencing mental health distress and crisis
• Experience of managing challenging behaviour and dealing with clients with complex needs
• Experience of managing safeguarding risks and understanding legal requirements for safeguarding adults and children
• Evidence of continual professional development
• Understanding of the Recovery Model in mental health
• Understanding of the principles of trauma informed care

About the Role

As a trusted business partner with a strategic outlook, you'll proactively and pragmatically advise and engage with internal stakeholders on a broad range of legal issues, as well as collaborate dynamically and effectively across Save the Children International (the international programming arm of Save the Children) and with other members of the Save the Children global movement.

You will provide first-class legal advice to SCUK and its subsidiaries in respect of their UK and international programmes; policy, advocacy and campaigns work; and fundraising, retail and marketing activities, modelling professionalism, pragmatism, excellence and integrity in doing so.

You will support the effective delivery of cross-organisational risk, compliance and governance programmes, ensuring that key legal and regulatory risks are managed, whilst promoting a culture of shared responsibility for addressing legal and compliance risks throughout the work of SCUK.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide strategic legal advice to SCUK's UK Impact, Global Programmes, Fundraising, and Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns Teams, in particular; grant and consortium agreements, donation and commercial participator agreements and arrangements with corporate partners, commercial contracts, including fundraising, professional services, media and IP/IT agreements.
• Advise SCUK staff on a wide range of legal issues and risks arising from SCUK's operations, including in relation to; charity fundraising laws and charity governance; fundraising and marketing communications and events; grant agreements and donor due diligence requests; marketing, advertising, media and defamation matters; and data protection, intellectual property and employment issues.
• Provide legal and governance support to SCUK's subsidiaries and affiliated entities.
• Support with litigation and disputes in the UK and internationally, including managing minor disputes and instructing external lawyers where appropriate.
• Provide advice to senior stakeholders within the organisation, including on legal risk and governance-related matters.
• Develop, advise on, promote, implement and maintain policies, practices and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, good corporate governance and the effective management of legal risk.

About you

About the role

You’ll empower your clients to take actions for themselves or will advocate on their behalf for better service, support and outcomes, so they can live their life with Parkinson's in the way they choose.

You’ll deliver tailored information and support through a range of channels including telephone, video and email and, where appropriate, home visits and in community settings.

You’ll be responsible for building excellent relationships with healthcare professionals and other relevant agencies, as well as our network of volunteers and groups.

What you'll do:

• Provide professional person centred, in depth support to clients by a range of means, ensuring the most efficient and effective use of resources.

• Provide support on a variety of health and social care issues, including appropriate emotional, employment and welfare benefits support and advocating with and on behalf of clients.

• Work closely with clinicians, specialist nurses and other professional colleagues to raise the profile of the service, increase depth of support and achieve improved outcomes for people with Parkinson’s.

Who we are: 

Founded in 1992 by a group of mental health professionals, Working Well Trust was established to address the issue of low employment rates for people who have experienced mental health issues.  Since starting we have seen advances in the specialist support offered to people seeking employment and a change in cultural attitudes towards mental health.  

In the last few years we have adapted this approach to work with people with Autism (ASD), people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or complex issues including homelessness or addiction.

Employment Support – offering support that meets the individual’s needs using both the traditional stepped approach and the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. 

Employer support – enabling the recruitment and retention of their employees. 

Social Enterprises – we offer training within social enterprises for people who want to gain a new skill, increase their confidence and be part of a team. 

Business and Enterprise support – providing one to one advice to clients who wish to start up or expand an enterprise. 

Co-production - Working Well remains committed to the principles of the recovery model and continuously improve its services through co-production. 

Role Purpose: 

Work Well is a government funded programme that offers an early-intervention work and health support and assessment service. This provides holistic support to overcome health-related barriers to employment, and a single, joined-up gateway to other support services. 

We work in partnership with mental and/or physical health clinical teams, GP practices and other referral partners who refer clients who are currently in employment but are experiencing difficulties in the workplace and require assistance to help them return to work, remain in work or find new employment. This programme will also support those who have fallen out of work to get the support they need to return to employment. That support will be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. 

We need a Work and Health Coach to provide highly effective support to individuals and guide them on their journey to returning, remaining or finding new employment while also supporting them to improve their health and wellbeing. The Work and Health Coach will also be instrumental in supporting participants to remove health related barriers by sourcing and funding appropriate interventions.

We are now recruiting for a Lead Coach in Bethnal Green  - an outstanding opportunity to work as part of a local church to deliver the Spear Programme.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. Over the last 20 years, Spear has supported more than 10,000 young people across the UK with the work-ready skills and mindset they need to succeed in employment, no matter the challenges they face. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively
• Handling safeguarding
• Taking a lead on rating the work readiness of the trainees and making sure data is inputted and used correctly on salesforce
• Tracking trainee progress on the dashboards
• Liaising with volunteers for key programme engagement events such as mock interviews and external panels. Leading on briefings and communications with these volunteers

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees

Training the Graduate Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Graduate Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and possibly supporting on leading internal training such as Grad Coach Training

Active participation in and support for church team and mission

• As the Spear programme is run in partnership with a local church partner, you will establish a strong personal connection with the church to develop the engagement and backing of church members and help build a strong network of supporters for the Spear programme. As part of this you may be asked to speak at church/events and contribute to prayer meetings as per Resurgo’s Christian ethos and the mission of the church

As a Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker, you will:

• Provide specialist interventions and one-to-one support to a caseload of women with complex needs.
• Work within a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE), utilising trauma-informed practices to support women who may have experienced rough sleeping, domestic violence (DV), or violence against women and girls (VAWG).
• Collaborate with external agencies such as Adult Social Care, Health, Mental Health, and other specialist providers to enhance access to services and improve outcomes.
• Support and guide Project Workers, sharing your expertise and setting best practice standards for complex needs support.
• Advocate for your clients, helping them navigate the health and social care systems to access the services they deserve.
• Work creatively and flexibly to engage with hard-to-reach clients, providing them with the confidence and skills to maintain their progress.

The Harlequins Foundation wish to appoint an Education and Employability Mentor to oversee the development, planning and delivery of our employability provision. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the skills required to organise and deliver programmes that support participants to develop the essential skills and progress them demonstrably closer to the employment market.

The Harlequins Foundation is the charitable arm of the Club, delivering programmes in our communities that primarily support young people to develop the essential skills, enabling success on and off the pitch. Our purpose is to harness sport and the spirit of Harlequins, empowering young people to acquire the skills they need to succeed.

The Foundation has an educational pathway to provide learning opportunities from Level 1 through to degree level, however qualifications are only part of a learners development. We recognise that academic achievement alone does not equate to readiness for work, and we develop and deliver programmes that provide young people with the opportunity to hone their skills and are better equip them for meaningful employment.

As the Education and Employability Mentor, you will have oversight of a variety of different programmes, playing a vital role in the development and delivery of these. It is essential that you have exceptional knowledge of societal issues that affect the groups that you will be working with, and understanding the importance of the impact of the work that you will deliver.
The successful candidate will be confident serving in a pastoral role and as a mentor to the participants they engage with, challenging them to develop their skills while nurturing the confidence needed to demonstrate them. Experience of stakeholder management and an ability to build relationships with external delivery partners will be crucial to the role holder.

What you'll be doing:

• Deliver our current mentoring provision and look to expand into different stakeholders in our focus boroughs
• Lead the delivery of our Try Time programme, developing the Harlequins Foundation alternative provision offering
• Drive partnership opportunities to provide alternative provision within schools across Hounslow and our other focus boroughs
• Maintain and develop relationships with local schools and local authorities to refer suitable programme participants
• Lead on recruitment of programme participants from relevant referral sources and delivery partners, researching and establishing new relationships as required
• Support Education and Employability Mentor (EEM) with delivery of Employability Academy
• Support delivery of our NEET (not in Education, Employment or Training) projects and programmes
• Liaise with local employers and participants to ensure the efficient running of our programmes
• Take responsibility for the reporting and monitoring of employability programmes, ensuring accurate collection of data required to report against funding

Your skills and experience:

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Have or willing to work towards gaining qualifications required to deliver and assess vocational qualifications
• Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a classroom environment
• Experienced in engaging young people from a range of backgrounds, including hard to reach and disadvantaged young people
• Experience of managing essential stakeholder relationships while maintaining and developing new referral channels and programmes
• Experience using monitoring & evaluation tools, for example, Signal Stoplight, Upshot and Sport Value Bank
• RFU ERCA (or equivalent NGB coaching award)
• A commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults
• Highly organised with excellent planning and coordination skills and a meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to confidently present to stakeholders in person or online
• Ability to build excellent relationships and a confidence in networking

The Masonic Charitable Foundation is looking for an experienced adviser to join our frontline Advice, Support & Enquiries Team managing all enquiries via the advice line and electronic/mail channels. Each month we receive hundreds of phone calls and emails from people who need our help. The team’s Advisers are often the first point of contact with the MCF and play a key role in our grants process.

You will need excellent customer service skills, a high level of personal resilience, ability to quickly build a good rapport with callers and be a team player who is willing to support colleagues and prioritise the needs of the team. Previous experience in a comparable role is desirable.

Day to day responsibilities include answering calls and responding to emails from individuals and families for a range of support (including daily living costs, health and care and education), liaising with our Advice and Support Advisers and Visiting Volunteers, awarding grants for counselling and consultations and keeping the grants system up to date.

About the Role:
