Summary
- Oversee and support the Payroll Officers to undertake end-to-end payroll processing for all relevant payrolls (starters, leavers, changes, variance checking etc.) delegating and allocating tasks as required
- Process changes and ensure payroll deadlines are met
- Adhering to internal control requirements and undertake key checks in line with agreed processes and audit compliance
- Working within Service Level Agreements and supporting the production of relevant KPIs to monitor performance of the team
- You will need to be A Level or equivalent standard and significant proven ability in a similar role, with significant experience of working within a payroll environment using computerised payroll systems
- You'll also need to have a payroll qualification (CIPP National Payroll Certificate or similar) to Level 3
- A salary of £40,572 plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

We are seeking a Medical Professional, with significant expertise and experience in global humanitarian and disaster responses, to provide specialist technical guidance and oversight to our humanitarian health programming as a our new Health Advisor.
UK-Med is an NGO providing emergency health support in times of crisis and humanitarian emergencies. We provide clinical support, as well as training and capacity building for health professionals around the world, with particular focus on countries vulnerable to natural disasters, outbreaks or with weakened health systems due to complex emergencies. As a key partner of the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT), we work closely with FCDO and the WHO, but we are also growing our own programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe.
Following a period of significant growth we are seeking a medical professional to join our team in this pivotal role. Our portfolio of emergency health programmes continues to grow at pace, with current or recent projects in countries including Ukraine, Gaza, Rwanda, Sudan and Lebanon. Projects include outbreak response, trauma and surgical care and health systems strengthening.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in the area of emergency response and disaster medicine, ideally including conflict contexts. You will be able to apply your expertise to supporting strategy development at an HQ level, designing health responses and capacity building programmes as well as contributing to grant proposals. You will be willing and able to deploy overseas with our responses, providing leadership to health teams and liaising closely with Ministries of Health, WHO and other external partners.

This job is to work as an advisor to Neurodiverse Connection. The person in this job will help us hear from other people with a learning disability. The project is to meet and hear from people who have been in mental health hospitals. We will be finding out about what went well and what could have been better.
We want to make sure that our information, conversations and activities are easy to understand for people with a learning disability. You’ll be helping us to get it right.
Sometimes you will be helping us write questions, sometimes you will be meeting people in hospital to find out about their experience. Sometimes you might come to workshops to help us run them well. We also want your help to think about what people tell us. You will help us tell people what we have found out in a way that is easy to understand.
We really want to hear from some people who don’t often get the chance to say what they think. We will be meeting with some people to do workshops and activities. We will be meeting other people online. You can work with us to help us make this interesting and easy to understand for people with a learning disability.
The work time is not fixed for this job and working days will change across the month. The person will be paid for half a day each week. This will mean that the person might work a full day one week and not work the next week, but that payment will always be the same at the end of each month. We will agree working days and time with the person.

Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind deliver services in West London College through our Wellbeing Team. Working with all ages attending college in either Hammersmith and Fulham or Ealing, the wellbeing advisor will be an integral part of the Children and Young People’s Service within a key Mental Health Charity working in 3 boroughs in West London.
This role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Learning Mentor, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT, or other roles that have given you experience and skills in working with children and young people presenting with difficulties related to their mental health.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide practical mental health focused short-term case work to young people, through 1:1 face to face appointments
- To signpost students for further support as and when necessary
- To manage a busy case load
- To raise safeguarding alerts and work with partners to ensure that young people are effectively safeguarded
- To develop and deliver workshops, campaigns and training for young people, educational staff and youth workers about mental health (on occasion)
- To support other Youth Services service delivery, when required
- To support the development of new tools, materials and services
- To maintain and nurture a positive working relationship with partners

We're looking for a Science Advisor to help ensure that the best available science is used to support climate litigation around the world.
ABOUT THE ROLE. CLN is a non-profit foundation that supports partners across the world to drive stronger climate action through litigation against high-emitting actors. We are now looking for a new Science Advisor to play a critical role in bridging the gap between science and law in the context of climate litigation, including by supporting the translation of key legal concepts and standards into actionable remedies in climate cases. This is a new post that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to climate action as we approach 2030, and to shape this new post within CLN. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting legal teams on how best available science can be integrated to support and strengthen their legal and advocacy strategies, and advising on effective ways to present scientific data to national and regional courts.
- Assessing scientific and evidentiary gaps in ongoing and future climate cases, and working with CLN staff and external partners – including academic and scientific institutions – to explore ways to address those gaps in a manner consistent with legal principles.
- Supporting the translation of legal standards into scientific standards. For instance, translating the legal standards presented by the European Court of Human Rights in the KlimaSeniorinnen case into relevant national carbon budget reports, and exploring the implications of key principles of international environmental law to States’ or corporations’ mitigation efforts.
- Acting as a bridge between the legal and scientific communities.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with leading climate scientists, academic institutions, and researchers.
- Facilitating collaborations to ensure that legal teams have access to top-tier scientific expertise to support their cases.
- Identifying opportunities to communicate the needs of the climate litigation community to relevant scientists (i.e. at conferences, workshops, expert meetings).
- Conducting ongoing research and preparing clear, concise briefing notes and explanations on key scientific issues for CLN staff and external partners.
Given this is a new role in the organisation and the evolving nature of the climate litigation field, we expect that there may be changes to how this role works in practice once the right candidate is in post.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Multilingual abilities: Proficiency in languages other than English is desirable, though not essential.

About the role
The role holder is responsible for leading our strategic cross-organisational work aimed at driving innovation in programme design. The role integrates cross-organisational thought leadership with in-depth country analysis, leading to innovative, sector-leading programme design that aligns with our strategy. You will also directly advocate or represent clients with third parties. You will have all the same skills necessary for the adviser role but you will very likely have a background in advice work and also need some experience of the disciplines and requirements of delviering casework.

Programme Overview
The Restart programme offers enhanced support to Universal Credit claimants who have been out of work for at least 6 months to find jobs in their local area. Starting at the end of June 2021, it will benefit more than 1 million Universal Credit claimants who are expected to look for and be available for work but have no sustained learnings. The scheme will provide up to 12 months of tailored support for each participant. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other partners to deliver tailored support for individuals.
There role is based in our busy Southampton office.
The Employment Advisor will play a vital role in the success of the programme. They will be in charge of managing a case load of customers, working with them to create and follow an individualised workplan towards sustained employment. They have the ability to be a catalyst for change and really empower people to progress.
Primary Duties and responsibilities:
- Take responsibility and accountability for customers as assigned and working with them through to employment. This will include:
- Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs.
- Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.
- Creating and following through with individualised action plans ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.
- Address customer’s personal constraints to employment, providing challenge, advice, and guidance where appropriate to develop customers capability in the recruitment process ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment.
- Identify, structure, and recommend vacancy and training solutions, working in close consultation with the team to meet the specific needs of customers and employers.

We are recruiting for a talented Finance and Debt Specialist Advisor who has a background in supporting women or children who have experienced domestic violence to make a genuine difference to the lives of survivors. We believe in empowering women and girls to lead safe, non-violent, equal lives and you will play a key role in helping us deliver vital services to those who need them the most. As a Finance & Debt Specialist Advisor, you will provide service users with advice and support on finance and debt. Carrying out comprehensive assessments, via phone and face-to-face, and you will provide advocacy and support that empowers survivors primarily during crises and in the short term. You will also proactively work with other agencies on the service users’ behalf. You will hold a caseload of survivors and work as part of our duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.
The service is Pan London and operates within local communities, necessitating travel across all 11 boroughs to deliver outreach support to clients when needed.
About You:
To be successful as the Finance and Debt Specialist Advisor you will need the below experience and skills:
You will have the ability to encourage user engagement with the service through proactive contact. Maintain project logs and collate data from the logs for Team Managers. Proactively assess the needs and safety of any children that women using the service may have. Bring your experience of providing finance, and debt advice and successfully, managing high numbers of calls and/or cases and have a solid understanding (possibly experience) of supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, forced marriage or ‘honour-based violence

About the role
Fareham and Gosport Wellbeing service is looking to recruit a PCN Wellbeing Advisor. You will be based in the Wellbeing Centre in Gosport and occasional work base from Costal PCN surgeries. You will work solely with patients living in the Coastal PCN area, this role may on occasion include group facilitation in the Coastal PCN area’s.
In this role you will hold a caseload of patients offering assessments and 1 to 1 telephone or online sessions to help manage mental health wellbeing. You will attend meetings to enable patients to get the best service for them. You will support people to access groups and activities within our wellbeing centre and the community.
Hours: Part-time,15 hours per week (worked over a minimum of 4 days, time to be agreed).
Location: Eastleigh Wellbeing Centre (occasionally Winchester).

You will need to have a good understanding of a mental health issue, as well as experience of working with people with mental health needs, excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the key difficulties and challenges people face on their recovery journey. You will need good IT skills and be able to navigate different IT systems.

Established in 1984, Asha Projects is a specialist Black and Minoritised women’s organisation run for and by South Asian women. We provide safe temporary accommodation, advice, advocacy, mental health therapeutic services, and resettlement support. Our mission is to end Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and empower women to build lives free of oppression, violence, and injustice.
We are seeking a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Advisor to provide high-quality refuge accommodation and support. The role involves working within an intersectional framework to ensure inclusivity, liaising with agencies, providing advocacy and emotional support, and developing peer-to-peer support among residents. You will also manage housing, ensure health and safety, and handle financial responsibilities, all while maintaining professional boundaries and up-to-date case files.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working with women affected by domestic violence, strong advocacy skills, and a good understanding of social issues impacting South Asian women. Proficiency in English and a South Asian language, along with computer skills, is essential.
Flexibility Clause: To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is required, and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties will fall within the scope of the job at the appropriate grade.
