We seek an Advice Coordinator and IAA supervisor IAA L2 (IAA L3 desirable), or solicitor with equivalent qualifications for an exciting position leading partnership projects with Shelter, London Youth Gateway, and the East London Foundation Trust Mental Health Services.  The post holder will manage and supervise a team of IAA level 1 and 2 immigration advisors providing specialist immigration advice and casework to migrants at risk in London. You will be the interface for advisers to ensure documentation and tasks are completed in a timely manner for the clients you are supporting by liaising with your clients, advisors and partner organisations.  Effectively, you will hold the hand of clients who are finding their journey to debt relief a challenge with a mix of empathy and support, but also with comprehension of the system, and what actions the client needs to take.. 

You will empower and support financial literacy of clients and will ideally be qualified as a Connect Money Mentor (CMA) or equivalent, and will be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the welfare benefit system and have experience of advising customers on benefits.

At a personal level you will also need to demonstrate resilience and the ability to, understand and empathise with clients from diverse range of backgrounds and disadvantaged groups living in the community, in particular barriers faced by over-indebted and financially excluded communities. You will also need to demonstrate a high standard of numeracy and computer skills, specifically IT skills with a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite with an ability to understand and analyse complex financial and other numerical information.

Come and make a difference by joining our team reaching people who find it most difficult to access advice.  Money Advice Plus work both locally in Sussex and nationwide. Our mission is to help people manage their money effectively, and our independent, confidential and flexible approach is tailored to individuals’ needs, allowing us to reach those who find it most difficult to access advice. You will be joining a large team of Money Advisers providing specialist level debt and benefit advice and casework. 

We have 2 posts available - 1 based in our Brighton and Hove office, and the second either based in our office, but fully remote working possible.  For both posts you will have lots of variety, providing telephone specialist debt and benefit advice and casework across a range of projects.  If you are based in our office you will also deliver face-to-face advice both in the office and other outreach locations including Foodbanks and with inpatients.

Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

We're seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to Chair our Independent Advisory Group (IAG) whose role is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. As Chair, you'll provide independent strategic guidance, critical insights, and expert advice to shape Travalyst’s initiatives and impact. This role requires a commitment of approximately 1-2 days per month over an initial two-year term (with the possibility of renewal).

Your Impact

• Set the IAG’s agenda and priorities, in close collaboration with the Travalyst CEO and Board Chair.

• Chair a minimum of six virtual meetings per year, bringing all IAG Members together to share learning and provide strategic business updates; ensuring that divergent opinions are heard and respected, and that the group forms a collective view when needed.

• Ensure that the IAG’s advice is timely, relevant, and delivered appropriately to the Board and/or Secretariat.

• Attending Travalyst Board meetings to give updates on IAG activities, performance and learnings (likely 1-2 per year).

• Attending Travalyst’s Annual Convening (likely 2 days per year, usually in Europe).

• Regular strategy and operations meetings with the Secretariat and Travalyst COO.

• Regular status meetings and 1:1 check-ins with IAG Members.

• Regular status meetings with the Travalyst Secretariat.

• Ad hoc meetings, calls, reading/ document reviews, and email exchanges.

• Be accountable for the performance of the IAG.

• Champion Travalyst’s work externally.

About the IAG

Our IAG is comprised of a global group of some of the world’s leading travel and sustainability experts. The role of the IAG is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. Its primary remit is the expert review of Travalyst’s product roadmaps, including impact evaluation. In addition, the IAG’s proactive advice is invited on any topic, including Travalyst’s strategy and theory of change.

The IAG currently has six members, appointed as a core group of experts with a systemic view of travel and tourism. We expect this group to grow to 8-10 members during 2025/6, to fill specific gaps in expertise. IAG Members are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.

Where needed, the IAG may form a task group (including external subject matter experts) with a clear, time-bound remit. External subject matter experts are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.

The IAG sets its agenda and priorities through close collaboration between the IAG Chair, Travalyst CEO, and Travalyst Board Chair. It is accountable to its Terms of Reference, which are approved by the Board.

Who you are

You are a visionary leader passionate about sustainability and global travel transformation.

Operational support from the Secretariat will include:

• Preparing, supporting and debriefing IAG meetings, and managing records of key advice and decisions.

• Leading recruitment and onboarding of new IAG Members and/or subject matter experts.

• Monitoring IAG governance processes and performance, and making recommendations for improving processes.

Honorarium

The IAG Chair will be offered an annual honorarium, in recognition of the critical role played by the IAG and the time commitment required for full participation and leadership.

Additionally, pre-approved reasonable out-of-pocket expenses can be reimbursed, where required.

Our client is looking for an inspirational leader with the skill, energy, and enthusiasm to manage members of their Services Team delivering care advice and wellbeing support for care-experienced children and young people across England.

The Services Manager (Care Advice & Wellbeing Support) will lead development of their Care Advice Service supporting care-experienced children and young people to access their rights and experience increased wellbeing as they navigate care. The Care Advice Service currently includes a Care Advice Line, rights and entitlements workshops, care advice surgeries and online resources. They plan to increase their  reach by scaling parts of the service - including via partnerships, digital approaches to delivering advice and support, and volunteer work placements) - and targeted delivery in specific regions.

Supporting Families at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital

Since 2008, Citizens Advice Camden has provided a pioneering and well-regarded advice service at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) — the first of its kind in a UK children’s hospital. The service supports families of seriously ill and disabled children who are receiving treatment at GOSH, helping them navigate the life-changing socio-economic impacts of their child’s illness. We work closely with GOSH staff and partners — including social workers, family support officers, chaplains, and other stakeholders — to offer technical advice and casework that complements the hospital’s wider support services.

The issues families face can include reduced income, unsuitable housing, debt, and accessing benefits — especially during long or repeated hospital stays. Many families continue to receive our support over months or years, and our work is rooted in partnership, compassion, and a strong commitment to GOSH’s ‘One Team’ ethos.

The Role: Generalist Adviser/Caseworker

We are seeking an experienced adviser/caseworker to join the service. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, holistic advice and in-depth casework across a range of social welfare issues, with a strong focus on welfare benefits (including appeals) and housing, including complex and disrepair cases. You will provide tailored, long-term support to families, managing multi-issue caseloads with sensitivity and a commitment to empowering clients. Close collaboration with healthcare and support professionals at GOSH is essential to ensure integrated and effective service delivery. You will also contribute to research and campaigns by gathering social policy evidence and maintain accurate, detailed case records to support monitoring and evaluation.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience in advice and casework—particularly in welfare benefits and housing—along with confidence in using digital systems and tools for remote working. You should be proactive, well-organised, and capable of handling a demanding and emotionally complex workload. Strong communication skills are essential, as is an understanding of the social and economic challenges faced by families of seriously ill children. You must hold, or be able to provide evidence of meeting, MaPS accreditation at advice and casework level.

Being available onsite is an important aspect of this role and so this role is hybrid working. The exact split between remote/onsite working will be by agreement with the line manager and to meet the needs of the project, which could change over time.

Appointment to the role is subject to being granted GOSH honorary staff status, which includes full compliance with GOSH policies and training requirements, as well as a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.

You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way. 

To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This role is suited to someone with a problem solving, positive attitude, who is passionate about supporting marginalised people.   

The London Metropolitan University Students' Union is looking to grow our team of dedicated Student Advisers. Our Student Advisers support students to navigate the university’s academic regulations, offering impartial advice, supporting with written submissions and attending formal hearings in support of students. 

We are looking for someone who is a good listener, is empathic and non-judgemental and who has a genuine desire to ensure that every student has the best student experience whilst studying at London Metropolitan University. The ideal candidate will be organised and efficient, confident in working with academic regulations, and excellent at communicating complex information clearly verbally and in writing. 

We are looking for a full time adviser, but we are open to applications from those seeking either full time or part time work, for a minimum of 2.5 days per week (please state your availability in your cover letter). 

Job purpose for the role 

· To deliver a high-quality professional academic advice to students at London Metropolitan University 

· To provide independent, confidential and impartial advice and representation that has a positive impact on the experience of students 

· To ensure the advice service operates in line with best practice and that students and elected officers are well-informed on the issues affecting students 

· To support the Advocacy & Communications team in identifying and reporting on issues affecting the wider student body, providing evidence-based support for the Students’ Union’s representative work.

• Championing Quality: Carry out regular quality checks and offer tailored coaching to help the team grow their skills and confidence, making sure every interaction counts.
• Keeping Track: Monitor and report on how the service is performing against both internal and external targets. Quickly raise any challenges or concerns with the Head of Customer Service and Advice to keep things running smoothly.
• Always Improving: Look for ways to strengthen our service and improve outcomes for people in fuel crisis, making sure we’re always learning and evolving.
• Stepping In When Needed: During busy times, lend a hand by speaking directly with customers facing fuel emergencies—carrying out needs assessments and ensuring they receive same-day support.

 Experience and Skills:

• Previous Advice Role: Experience in an advice role with an understanding of how to develop the support we offer.
• Team Leader/Senior Experience: Previous experience as a Team Leader or in a senior role is desirable but we are open to developing the right person.
• Phone-Based Experience: Preferably in a triage/advice role, but general customer service experience is also suitable.
• Empathy and Support: Demonstrated empathy with a strong desire to help and support customers.
• Attention to Detail: Strong administrative and reporting skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Continuous Improvement: A mindset focused on continuous improvement and service enhancement.
• Computer Literacy: Proficient in using computer systems and software.
