The key duties of this Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:
- Business partner with the Senior Management Team to develop knowledge of their Directorates.
- Take on a value-added role, acting as a trusted advisor and demonstrating the ability to constructively challenge ideas and plans.
- Be involved in business and planning meetings in partnership with senior leaders.
- Be the finance subject matter expert in the Directorates the role supports, proactively thinking about how decisions would affect the wider organisation and the Directorate, making recommendations as appropriate.
- Produce, collate and ensure timely delivery of accurate budget and forecasts for the areas the role supports, with supporting analysis and commentary.
- Provide timely and accurate advice to budget holders to allow effective management of their budgets, highlighting potential opportunities and risks.
- Ensure the delivery of month end processing and variance analysis.
- Prepare and deliver accurate consolidated financial monthly, quarterly and annual operational performance reporting packs.
- Support the ‘Head of’ in the preparation of financial models for the evaluation of proposed business changes, and subsequent implementation.
- Manage, supervise and develop direct reports, being accountable for the work they produce.
The successful candidate will have:
- Achieved their full accountancy qualification.
- Have extensive experience of working within a management accounts or business partnering function, of a complex organisation.
- Substantial experience in the preparation of financial management information, including the production and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, financial models and delivery of associated reporting, analysis and commentary.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse numbers critically, extracting pertinent information for management.
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ideally, knowledge of charity accounting (SORP).
- Experience of managing, developing and motivating staff.

- Complete month-end journals, FTE analysis, and monitor Directorate financial results against budget and forecast.
- Prepare comprehensive and timely period-end written commentary for management accounts.
- Ensure all year-end reporting requirements are completed.
The successful candidate will have:
- Achieved their full accountancy qualification.
- Have extensive experience of working within a management accounts or business partnering function, of a complex organisation.
- Ability to analyse numbers critically and extract and interpret pertinent information for management information purposes.

The BBFC is at an exciting time in its journey, working in partnership with regulatory bodies around the world to establish a new organisation that uses the power of AI to respond to the ever-changing need to provide locally recognisable ratings on media and digital content globally. The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in the roll-out and development of our new ventures.
The Role
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across finance and the broader strategic growth of the BBFC. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and as part of the ELT, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Lead the delivery of all required financial resources and advice to enable the highest quality services to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and engage in strategic discussion and decision-making as member of the Executive Leadership Team and other governance committees
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in the roll-out of the BBFC’s new AI tool and commercial trading subsidiary
- Provide management information and analysis of the BBFC’s actual and forecast financial performance, providing a business partnering service to colleagues; producing concise and meaningful commentary on performance against agreed targets and comprehensive risk analysis
- Manage the BBFC finance team (2 staff), supporting in mentorship, training and skills development
- Build and contribute to external networks and commercial partnerships, building on BBFC’s reputation, and ensure that BBFC learns from and builds on best practice
- Accountability for the organisation’s financial accounts and the other statutory financial information
- Act as the main point of contact for external Auditors, HMRC, Banks, Investment Managers, Suppliers and any other appropriate body to ensure the BBFC’s financial and commercial interests are protected

About You
- You will be an experienced Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer or equivalent.
- You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or qualified by experience with extensive relevant experience in a similar role
- You will have experience in operating at executive leadership level, including working closely with C-Suite level individuals and Board members to oversee financial strategy for an organisation
- You will be proactive in identifying solutions and be able to make decisive values-based decisions

The Head of Fundraising is an exciting new role developed for the Society to increase fundraising and develop additional income streams to enhance the sustainability of the Society. They will help deliver the Transformation Plan, an exciting new project for Scotland’s oldest learned antiquarian Society to help deliver the Society’s vision: “Scotland’s past is for everyone to research, share, enjoy and protect, home and abroad”.
The Transformation Plan includes the acquisition and redevelopment of a B-listed building in central Edinburgh to co-create the most inclusive, low-carbon and heritage-rich space to work, visit and participate. This will become a heritage hub for Scotland’s past, helping to bring heritage alive for a wide range of public audiences. This role will provide the necessary vision, leadership, and fundraising skills which will enable the Society to achieve its fundraising targets and enhance its development program.
They will be an effective fundraiser and key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. They will report directly to the Director sharing collective responsibility to deliver the Society’s strategy and vision.
Initially on a 2.5-year fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding, the post will work as part of the senior management team and liaise directly with staff, Councillors (trustees), members (known as Fellows) and other organisations and individuals to ensure the successful delivery of their responsibilities.
The post will have the following immediate priorities:
· Helping develop and submit a major stage one Development Phase National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) grant application in collaboration with the Director and others, creating an engaging and successful proposal and case for support (part of an overall c£6m Transformation Plan project)
· Development and delivery of a major fundraising campaign based on personal giving, grant applications and other fundraising activities

Main Responsibilities
Strategy and planning
· Development and delivery of a fundraising campaign (including grant funding, individual and organisational donations, and other fundraising activities) for a c£6m project, setting targets in collaboration with the Director and meeting them, creating engaging and successful proposals and cases for support
· Lead the annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve income targets across a range of revenue streams
· In cooperation with the Director, lead the development of a long-term fundraising strategy to achieve agreed long term Society goals and vision
· Identify new potential income streams and produce strategies to access these funds
Fundraising
· Build and manage an effective fundraising team (across the Society staff and volunteers as required) that delivers fundraising income meeting set targets
· Oversee the management of a grant and trust income programme, supporting staff as necessary and ensuring production of effective, high-quality proposals and reports
· Oversee the management of an individual giving programme, supporting staff as necessary and ensuring production of effective, high-quality donor development and reports
· Lead on development of new funding streams
· Develop and maintain effective supporter journeys for the development of relationships and retention
Senior Management
The Head of Fundraising is a member of the Society’s Senior Management Team (SMT) and as such the post-holder will be expected to play a proactive role in the management of the Society including:
· Organisational strategic planning and development
· Income and expenditure budget planning and management
· Advising members of SMT on the availability of funds and the viability of obtaining funds to support initiatives
· Contribute to leadership decisions on all aspects of policy, development and organisation
· Playing a significant role in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of Society strategy and action plans
· To participate as an active member of the SMT, attending meetings and producing reports as required

Person Specification
The Head of Fundraising will have substantial fundraising and management experience, a talent for building relationships and a proven track record in securing funds from statutory sources, foundations, trusts and major donors. They will be a key contact for grant giving organisations, personal donations and legacies. They will report directly to the Director sharing collective responsibility to deliver the Society’s strategy and vision. As such they will need the following:

Further Information
This post is an initial 2.5-year (30 month) full-time contract which will be extendible subject to funding. There will be a short probationary period during which time your skills and suitability for the position will be assessed. Development of fundraising for the Transformation Plan will be the immediate priority. A lot of work has already been undertaken by the Society in preparing for an NLHF application as part of this, but the skill and experience of this post will ensure it has the maximum chance of success. This will include liaising with others, including NLHF staff and our consultants, the More Partnership.
The tasks and role will develop in line with the requirements in that application and the implementation of the Transformation Plan and will be reviewed after the submission of the initial NLHF bid. However, the core responsibilities will remain the development and delivery of successful fundraising strategies, increasing income to the Society.

Bid writing
· Writing high quality and innovative responses in tenders and framework that are representative of United Response work in collaboration with Operation colleagues and Relationship Managers that will lead to winning multi million pound partnerships

Assert is a small team of advocates working as a project within Mental Health Resource charity and as part of the Kent Advocacy partnership. We provide high quality, issue-based advocacy and statutory IMHA services to individuals affected by mental health problems, often detained in medium and low secure units and in acute inpatient settings. We also provide community advocacy in West Kent, Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley.It can be a tough job, but in return you will receive competitive pay, training, benefits and have the support of a strong team. JOB SUMMARY
To provide statutory issue-based advocacy to people detained in acute psychiatric hospitals and forensic hospitals/rehab units across West Kent and community advocacy to people with mental health difficulties in the community in West Kent, ensuring that their views, wishes and needs are taken into account and expressed and heard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide independent mental health advocacy to eligible patients in accordance with the provisions Mental Health Act 2007 as amended and as detailed in the Code of Practice to the Act
2. To provide independent, issue-based advocacy in the community as appropriate.
3. Ascertain the needs and wishes of clients and act only under instruction of clients.
4. To telephone and meet with clients on the ward or another convenient location to help them prepare for meetings and to attend appointments with them to speak on their behalf if required, take notes and ensure that they understand the proceedings.
5. To help clients understand what is being considered around their care, treatment and support and the impact of any decisions made.

The Involvement & Engagement Officer will play a crucial role in delivering the new patient and public involvement and engagement strategy for Alzheimer’s Research UK. The role forms part of the Involvement & Engagement team, which sits in the Information and Involvement (I&I) department.
The team acts as a focal point for patient and public involvement at the charity, working to ensure that people with lived experience shape and inform projects and activity across ARUK. You will help to manage a key group of lived experience involvement volunteers, facilitate and deliver involvement activity and set the standards and processes for meaningful involvement.
The team also delivers public engagement initiatives, with the aim of making dementia research accessible and inspiring to the public through events and participatory projects and supporting researchers to deliver engagement. The team also supports fundraising colleagues and activities through helping to embed and enhance ways to engage supporters with dementia research.
The team forms part of the busy Policy, Communications & Involvement directorate and works closely with colleagues both within the directorate and across the charity. The I&I department’s mission is to improve understanding of dementia and the diseases which cause it and encourage and support the public and people affected by dementia to get involved in research.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

- Invoice and payment processing - managing the entire invoice payment process, including receipt authorisation, and weekly payment runs in the finance system (Iplicit). Handle grant transfers to partners, setting up payments in Bankline.
- Expense management - Oversee staff expense payments and manage credit card processes, including monthly reconciliations for NatWest cards. Administer prepaid card processes, including requests, top-ups and reconciliations.
- Reconciliation tasks - Reconcile supplier payments and direct debits to the ledger. Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled against the cash book. Post monthly bank interest, charges, and fees to the ledger.

Our charity headquarters and forward operating base are located at Rochester Airport, with our aircraft hangar and maintained at Redhill Aerodrome. When the call comes, we can reach any part of Kent, Surrey or Sussex in under 30 minutes.
Key Responsibilities
You will be part of a small team of specialists who lead, advise and support the business and help deliver our strategy. With around 160 staff members the HR Team play a hugely important role in all aspects from recruitment to learning, wellbeing to pensions. It is a small team, and we need someone with experience to deal with the multiple facets of HR and someone who is a “doer”. You should be as happy developing strategy as you are running a welcome induction. Life will not be boring, and you will work with some incredible people, and experience some incredible stories. You will go home every day knowing you have made a difference.
This role will require an experienced HR generalist with some knowledge of Payroll or a Payroll specialist with previous experience in HR. In both cases you would need a willingness to learn the other aspects.
Key tasks include
• Submit and check our payroll which is managed by Moorepay. This includes handling payroll inquiries, maintaining payroll records, and addressing any discrepancies.
• With the support of our external pension’s advisors, ensure our pension scheme is correctly governed, correct communications are sent to staff and that payments are uploaded to our Pension Scheme.
• Ensure our HR platform (Natural HR) is the single version of truth on employee details, maintained with the latest employee information and that workflows operate correctly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure our learning management system (Learning Hangar) is operating correctly, new courses are added or updated, and staff maintain recency with their compliance courses.
• Lead/oversee the recruitment and induction of new staff.
• An annual renewal of our benefit insurances supported by our brokers Mercer.
• Deal with internal employee relations matters, if they arise. e.g. OH referral, exit interviews, capability reviews.
• Coach our HR apprentice.
• Develop your own skills to ensure KSS maintains compliance with legislation on Pensions, Pay and People related legislation.
• Be the internal subject matter expert for our people systems NaturalHR (HRM), Skills for Health (LMS), and Hireful (ATS)
You will have the support from the Head of HR, a People Buisness Partner and an HR apprentice and the wider Corporate Services team. We do not expect to find anyone who specialises in all activities or the systems we use, but familiarity with any of the systems named in the job profile will be an advantage. Given the breadth of the role, we are also willing to consider people with just UK Payroll experience (part time basis). If this is the case, please state it clearly in the application. The skills you will bring to your of Finance Assistant will include;

As our Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for all UK-Med’s medical warehouse activities and provide day to day supervision of our medical warehouse Unit 9.
You will oversee the administration and practical control of all systems and procedures to manage pharmacy, medical supplies and equipment whilst ensuring stock is maintained in accordance with MHRA regulations.
With a qualification or equivalent experience in Warehousing/Logistics/Supply Chain, or qualified as a Pharmacy Technician, you will have relevant knowledge in the distribution of medicinal products (WDA/GDP) and awareness of MHRA licencing requirements.
You will have a positive and flexible problem-solving approach and be willing, able and ready to deploy to support all UK-Med programmes and projects.
