Our services are designed to enhance young people’s skills, attitudes, and aspirations, supporting them at every stage of their journey to employment. Our innovative three-tiered employability programmes, delivered in partnership with pupil referral units, schools, and colleges, provide tailored support to meet the specific needs of each young person. We host immersive industry events and our annual Futures Festivals to connect young people with inspiring career opportunities. Additionally, our personalized employability mentoring services offer dedicated guidance and support for Lambeth residents aged 16-30, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. We collaborate with educators and employers to build a brighter future where all young people can achieve their full potential.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our marketing manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to celebrate our youth community, showcase the impact of our services, and highlight the importance of youth work. You will work closely with our Co-Founder and CMO to evolve our marketing and communications strategy, collaborate with our exciting network of youth workers to capture our activities and outcomes for young people and be responsible for line managing our Social Media Manager to advocate for youth work and elevate young voices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who values creativity, communication, and collaboration. As our Marketing Manager you will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing our digital marketing and content strategies
• Developing our website, SEO and online presence
• Capturing and communicating our news, activities and impact across our service streams
• Showcasing employment and training opportunities to our alumni network
• Conducting interviews and producing case studies in line with qualitative contractual requirements
• Delivering recruitment campaigns to reach young participants for our programmes, events and mentoring services
• Documenting workshops, programmes and events
• Working collaboratively with our delivery teams to collate qualitative data in the form of photos, videos and surveys
• Developing leads processes to grow our network of young people, opportunity providers, volunteers and donors.
• Develop systems to improve tracking of referrals into employment via our website and newsletter campaigns.
• Co-producing new resources for our workshops in collaboration with the delivery and mentoring teams
• Communicating news and updates to Spiral's key stakeholders quarterly
• Showcasing employment, training and further education opportunities to our youth network

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED

This is a varied role suitable for candidates with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Marketing Manager position, preferably at a not-for-profit, charitable organisation or an organisation with an education-to-employment focus. This role requires confident communication, consistent content production and collaboration with our exciting team. Prior Line Management experience is also required to lead the development and training of our Social Media Manager supported by our CMO.

• Digital marketing and content strategy implementation
• Experience with salesforce or like-for-like CRM systems
• Design skills using tools such as Canva and the ability to follow a brand toolkit

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

The post holder will support Children and Young People who have been affected by Domestic Violence, by offering therapeutically informed interventions for CYP as part of the clinically informed youth work workforce of The Children's Society.

The Post holder will deliver one to one sessions / group work to ensure that boys and young men who have witnessed DV&A receive support, information, and services to meet their needs.

The role requires the post holder to develop relationships with a number of professionals across organisations and other service providers to enhance the emotional, mental health and wellbeing offer with the aim to increase personal resilience, and empower them to manage their own mental health.

Experience

-Substantial relevant experience in working with children and young people at risk from diverse backgrounds.

-Experience of advice of advocacy work with vulnerable people

-Prior experience of working with children and young people presenting with emotional, behavioural and/or mental health difficulties.

-Experience of supporting people who are dealing with complex and sensitive issues

-Prior experience of supporting children and young people who have been victims of Domestic Violence and Abuse.

Qualifications

-Extensive experience in working with children and young people in a similar setting, delivering structured interventions.

-Relevant professional qualification such as Social Work, Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, Psychology, Youth Work or Nursing and or significant relevant experience.

-The post holder will be required to hold a full driving license and have use of a car for The Children's Society business.

Teresa House and Hamlets Way are two supported housing accommodations for adults with enduring mental health issues. Both services provide a high level of support to 16 customers on each service. East London Apartments provides 24 hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).

East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach which was developed to support people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. However, its application is far broader than only homelessness. It considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

When working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly testing boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect, years of street homelessness, or long stays in mental health hospitals, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. They should continually hold aspirations for individuals despite multiple setbacks, and display emotional resilience, able to process challenging incidents and remain motivated to deliver excellent support.

Specialist Support Workers within Look Ahead are required to have either an extra dimension of experience or a higher qualification level as determined relevant for the particular post.

As the Specialist Support Worker Housing Lead you will lead on the management of hoarding, self-neglect, and skills related to independent living. You will lead on the Move On process for customers and will liaise with external partners. You will therefore be in charge of building support packages and transition plans to assist customers to exit the service with the support they need. You will also provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Provision of care and support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support. Post holders will deliver support to a caseload of up to 6 service users with needs aligned to their specialism - caseload is subject to change depending on the service needs.

RBKC MH Night Support Workers enable people with mental health support needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

The Centre for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (CfD) is a registered small-sized charity that delivers a wide range of services including community development initiatives and assistive equipment services to people in Bristol who are Deaf, deafened, or hard of hearing. CfD challenges the prejudice and barriers that Deaf and hard of hearing people face in their daily lives. Our Community Outreach Worker will support the delivery of our new community development project: Connecting People into Communities, funded by Bristol City Council.

The role will include:

• Establishing drop-in sessions throughout Bristol for Deaf and hard of hearing people as a first contact point.

• Signposting/referring individuals to appropriate services and offering support with connecting people into communities – including the Deaf Community, hard of hearing peer support, and local community hubs.

• Providing information on activities and events occurring across Bristol and local hubs.

• Finding out what hard of hearing people in Bristol would like to see CfD offering.

• Strengthening our relationship with community organisations and other community based services, including those who support people from minority ethnic groups.

• Exploring how we can extend our work to reach more Deaf and hard of hearing people aged under 50.

• Developing content for our website so that it becomes a resource for organisations who want to improve their inclusion of Deaf and hard of hearing people.

The post holder will be a part of CfD’s Communities Team and will be expected to support the work of our other community projects i.e. our Deaf People Together and Community Hub projects. The post holder will be based at The Vassall Centre, Gill Avenue, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 2QQ.

The main responsibilities are to:

• To support the delivery of the Connecting People to Communities project so that it meets its aims by:

- Increasing our contact with organisations and hubs that work with minority ethnic groups throughout Bristol, particularly with those who support older people, and with organisations based in areas of deprivation.

- Working with community hubs (e.g. community centres, libraries etc) to provide regular CfD “drop-ins” – primarily as a first contact point and to alleviate isolation and loneliness.

- Signposting and referring individuals to appropriate services, and supporting individuals with connecting to communities.

- Providing advice and guidance to community hubs on how to make their venues, events and activities accessible to and inclusive of Deaf and hard of hearing people.

• To support the work of our Communities Team by:

- Developing positive relationships between service providers and Deaf and hard of hearing people, and advising providers on how to improve their services to become more accessible and inclusive.

- Supporting the Community Development Officer with publicising our Small Community Grants scheme, and supporting existing groups with organising their events/activities.

We are looking for an experienced young people's practitioner. You will be confident in your work with young people and join our dynamic, ambitious team.

This role sits within our Essex Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service (EYPDAS) . EYPDAS work with young people aged up to 25 years old who require support for substance or alcohol use. We neither condone nor condemn use but support young people on a voluntary basis to create a care plan that suits their needs and motivations. EYPDAS sits within the established All Age Recovery Co-ordination Service (AARCS), which we deliver in partnership with Open Road, supporting young people, adults and families affected by substance misuse.

This role requires you to deliver on a one-to-one and group work basis to young people up to the age of 25. You will line manage up to 3 practitioners to deliver this work across the quadrant offering supervision, referral allocation, performance management and deliver on the Service Managers directives.

In order to be successful with this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have extensive experience of: -

Delivering direct interventions with vulnerable young people (8-25) on both a one to one and group work capacity. As well as working to support the family network.

Co-producing care and safety plans with young people that are young people led, focusing on both a relational & strength-based approach.

Extensive partnership working in a multi-agency environment to ensure that the needs and wishes of the young person are heard and acted upon.

East London Apartments provides 24-hour accommodation-based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness.

East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

Working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly test boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect and years of street homelessness, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. They should continually hold aspirations for individuals despite multiple setbacks, and display emotional resilience, able to process challenging incidents and remain motivated to deliver excellent support.

The successful applicant will have experience working closely with a range of services to support individuals to address and/or recover from their dependence on drugs and or alcohol. You will have excellent knowledge of harm reduction techniques and various treatment approaches for addiction and be confident in the use of these approaches. These should include but are not limited to medication treatment, behavioural counselling and relapse prevention. You will also provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. Provision of care and support is also provided to develop a model of re-enablement towards self-advocacy, self-management and empowerment, incorporating the principles and practice of recovery, co-production and peer support.

Post holders will deliver trauma informed and asset based support to a caseload of up to 6 complex service users with substance misuse support needs. - The caseload is subject to change depending on the service needs.

What you'll bring:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant area (e.g. substance misuse, addiction, psychology, Health and Social Care,).
Experience building and developing strong professional partnerships with external providers.
A minimum of 2 years experience in complex needs services, community development, addiction counselling, drug and alcohol work or other related fields.
Good written and oral communication skills
2-3 years experience providing targeted recovery focussed support to individuals with needs around trauma, mental health, substance use and dual diagnosis.
