What could my day look like?
The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.
In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.
As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.

We are looking for two Youth Workers to build trusting and collaborative relationships with vulnerable service users aged 10-12 years transitioning from years 5 and 6 into secondary school to identify and address any potential risk factors that may impact on a young person’s transition.
You will provide support to build the young person’s skills, confidence and resilience during this critical period to engage positively at their new secondary school. This will include the delivery of targeted programmes, activities and 1:1 interventions that address the specific challenges faced by young people including bullying, social isolation, special needs, academic pressures or mental health issues. The support will be delivered in person within a variety of settings including faith based groups, schools and youth centres. This post will also work closely with the Violence Reduction Unit (VRU) Peer Champion project.
We are hoping to offer a maximum of 10 hours per week for each Youth Worker to support current activities and where needed to set up new activities. You will have the ability to build rapport with young people and engage them in activities leading to empowerment and raising aspirations.
The salary for 10 hours per week is £7,310.53 per annum.

Neighbourhood Watch Network is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive youth work specialist to deliver and grow our engagement and service work with young people (16-24 year olds), funded by the City Bridge Foundation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with the skills, energy, and passion to engage with young people and youth organisations in local communities, supporting our strategic priority to ensure the voices of young people are heard and fully represented in their communities and throughout our organisation.
The work will be informed and led by the young people you are engaging with. We will expect you to take a collaborative approach to the work with young people, involving them in design and delivery wherever possible. You will be building on the foundations set with our pilot work last year, strengthening our relationships with youth organisations and building new ones in three locations – Hackney, Wandsworth and Croydon. Through these connections, you will get to know the areas and young people who wish to actively engage with their communities and make a positive change around crime prevention and community building.
You will run task groups with young people focused on community action and crime prevention in these three areas, with the support of local volunteers and the Head of Membership and Community Engagement. Using previous learning you will shape and implement 3-4 future place-based models of working with young people, co-developed by young people. You will also be supporting a newly created Youth Council.
The aim of this work is to ensure Neighbourhood Watch is supporting young people to: engage with their communities; address their concerns around crime and personal safety; improve their mental health and wellbeing; build confidence and self-esteem; work through challenges constructively; and help prepare young people for their next steps in life with newly gained skills and experiences for their CVs and future.

Purpose of the Job
Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind deliver services in West London College through our Wellbeing Team. Working with all ages attending college in either Hammersmith and Fulham or Ealing, the wellbeing advisor will be an integral part of the Children and Young People’s Service within a key Mental Health Charity working in 3 boroughs in West London.
This role would suit an experienced Mental Health Youth Worker, CAMHS support worker, Youth Counsellor, Child Wellbeing Practitioner, Learning Mentor, Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner, an Assistant Psychologist with some training in MH interventions like CBT, or other roles that have given you experience and skills in working with children and young people presenting with difficulties related to their mental health.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide practical mental health focused short-term case work to young people, through 1:1 face to face appointments
- To signpost students for further support as and when necessary
- To manage a busy case load
- To raise safeguarding alerts and work with partners to ensure that young people are effectively safeguarded
- To develop and deliver workshops, campaigns and training for young people, educational staff and youth workers about mental health (on occasion)
- To support other Youth Services service delivery, when required
- To support the development of new tools, materials and services
- To maintain and nurture a positive working relationship with partners
- To ensure service delivery targets are on track
- To monitor the wellbeing of young people and evaluate the effectiveness of the service
- To provide information for quarterly monitoring reports to funders

You will have:
- Minimum two years’ experience of working with people with mental health issues
- Experience in delivering 1:1 practical support sessions and managing a complex case load

As Director of Youth Work, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality youth work programmes and leading a team of youth workers.

Crucially, you must be flexible, recognising that the needs of a community of young people do not always fit into a neat 9-5 job. Experience in managing teams and budgets, and knowledge of local community needs and resources is also desirable.

This postholder will work closely with East London Rape Crisis’s Community Engagement Workers and survivors to co-facilitate Expert’s by Experience groups, workshops and professionals trainings. You will work as part of a growing Feminist Rape Crisis service that is developing to meet the needs of women and girls.

About the Role:
Depaul UK delivers a wide range of support and housing services for people experiencing or at risk of becoming homeless throughout the UK. Nightstop London, run by Depaul UK, is part of a national network of over 30 Nightstop services run through different organisations.
This role is busy and varied and involves working with young people from when they approach the service to when they find longer term accommodation. You will be the first point of contact for all young people, assessing each young person’s needs and risks. In addition you will be responsible for coordinating volunteers as well as organising the logistics of each Nightstop placement and making sure that each Nightstop placement is safe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for people experiencing homeless and referral partners, providing advice and signposting.
- Conduct needs and risk assessments with potential Nightstop guests.
- Arrange the logistics of a guest’s stay with a volunteer.
- Work with guests and referral partners to offer support and opportunities for longer term accommodation.
- Provide support to guests and volunteers through a 24 hour on call phone service.
- Maintain up to date records on all guests and volunteers.
- Support with the creation of reports.
About You:
You will be passionate about supporting young people and have experience working with those facing homelessness, mental health issues, or who are care leavers. You’re a proactive, flexible team player, willing to work variable hours to meet the needs of clients.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner.
- An understanding of the needs of people who experience homelessness, the problems they face and the resources available to address their support needs.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people or people experiencing homeless.
- Understanding of current housing and homelessness legislation, including entitlement to welfare provision.
- Experience of writing, implementing and evaluating Risk Assessments.
- An ability to work in an organised manner and arrange placement logistics.
- Experience of collaborative working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Social Worker to join our London & South East Team supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality support tailored to the needs of the children and young people and their families. The work we do is rewarding but also complex and demanding. You will be part of a close-knit Young Lives vs Cancer social work team, working with an established NHS multi-disciplinary team and services in the community.
This role is part home, part site-based (your contractual base will be both Home and the Royal Marsden Hospital).

About You
You will be committed to delivering high quality social work support to promote the best outcomes for the children, young people and families we work with. You will have:

- Sound knowledge of child and young people development.

The role of the Specialist Support Worker is to enable our customers to develop greater independence and fulfilling lives. As part of your role, you will be required to oversee Medication compliance, provide practical support to those with general needs issues.
What you'll do:
Medication Observance:
- Support people who are struggling with medication concordance between the hours of 8am to 8pm 7 days a week
- Complete home visits to observe customers take medication in the borough of Lambeth- Brixton, Streatham, West Norwood, Kennington, Clapham, Oval, and Vauxhall
- Able to lone work in the community- Using available forms of transport to complete home visits.
- Support people who are stepping down to more independence. This could be from registered to lower support accommodation; people returning to their homes after prolonged hospital admission.
Key Support Working:
- You will work with clients diagnosed with a mental health condition and living within the borough of Lambeth in their own homes.
- Your role as a support worker is to enable the customer to develop greater independence and fulfilling lives.
- As part of your role, you will be required to oversee all Support planning and Risk management plans and maintain contact with the customers on an agreed basis.

Approach Social Work (formerly known as the Frontline programme) is a three-year master’s programme, building a new, diverse generation of social workers. Designed and delivered by social work charity Frontline, we teach social work differently. By blending learning and practice, what you discover in theory is eased into real-life settings, supervised by a social worker. Gaining your postgraduate diploma within 12 months, will be the first step in your life-changing career.
