Key Responsibilities
Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of up to 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their mindsets, and to maximise their potential in stepping into the world of work
- Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics
Relationship management
- Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
- You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre
Church Community
- The Spear Coach is directly employed by York Vineyard Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community
- Help to raise the profile of the Spear programme within York Vineyard Church and build a network of supporters and volunteers from the congregation

About the Role
As an integral member of the delivery team, you will have lead responsibility for the Senior Club offer to 13-19 year olds (up to 25 for those with additional needs). You will have a passion to put young people first and be responsible for the continuous improvement of the delivery and input towards the strategic delivery plan for the Youth Zone. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure there is an exciting range of activities on offer for young people aged 13+, 5 nights a week

- Support the Youth Zone promotional and outreach plan working in the community both with partners and directly with young people
- Work with the Youth Zone staff to identify opportunities and funding for additional opportunities and experiences for young people
- Develop effective joint working with schools and other agencies to ensure a holistic approach in service delivery to young people including representing the Youth Zone at meetings with partner agencies
- Take responsibility for the close down and opening up of the Youth Zone as required
- Support across the whole Youth Zone offer as required which takes place every evening, weekend and during school holidays and will occasionally include residential work
About You
As Senior Club Manager, you will have experience of working with young people aged 13 to 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs) in a range of settings. An excellent communicator, you will have the skills to deliver activity programmes to a wide range of young people whilst motivating and engaging staff, volunteers and young people through sessional work.
You will also have experience of:

Therapist - Children’s Home & Community Settings

The role is a part-time position either working 2 days pw or 4 days pw. We are therefore open to recruiting two therapists.
Our Therapists provide 1:1 therapy to children and young people in care aged 13 to 19 years old. You will support the development of critical social and emotional skills to help emotional regulation, improve social skills, and deal with here-and-now issues.
We’re here to make a BIG difference to the lives of the children and young people in our care. We are also passionate about learning and development and committed to providing an outstanding experience for all.
A typical working day will include up to 4 x 1:1 therapy sessions, attending key meetings with the network, and internal meetings around care and safety planning. Working hours are 11.30am to 7.30pm to best serve the needs of the children and young people who are at home or returning home from school/college.

About the role
The Head of Mass Participation Fundraising leads an ambitious team that attracts and enables supporters to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer through participation in virtual or real life events and challenges. They deliver through creating a quality and forward looking events and challenges portfolio, and working with partner teams attract motivated participants and provide an outstanding supporter experience that ensures fundraising goals are smashed and long term relationships are built.
With their team and partner teams the Head of Mass Participation Fundraising keeps performance on track and spots opportunities by always tracking performance through quality KPIs and measures. They also have a close eye on what’s happening in the sector, making sure the portfolio constantly evolves to stay ahead of trends, this ensure they maximise the returns for the investment in the portfolio focusing on maximising income and gaining new supporters

The core purpose of The Money Charity is to help everyone, of all ages and all backgrounds, build the skills, knowledge, confidence and behaviours to manage their money well. We do this by delivering Financial Education and Wellbeing Workshops and Webinars, Consultancy Projects, and distribution of our Money Manuals. This is a brand-new role within a national charity which provides financial education and financial wellbeing training to young people and adults throughout the UK. For over 30 years, The Money Charity has been helping people from all walks of life to take control of their finances, become financially capable and achieve Financial Wellbeing. The charity is fully independent and impartial, meaning it never endorses or promotes financial products.
In 2025 we will be launching a new multi-year Charity strategy, and this role will play a key part in enabling the planned growth in the charity in the coming years. As a member of the Senior Management Team the post holder has a key role to play in supporting the charity in meeting its strategic objectives. Specifically, they will develop, implement and integrate new fundraising, development and communication strategies to help us better tell our story, significantly increase net income and ultimately reach many more individuals, making a real difference to the lives of young people and adults as a result.
We are looking for an experienced leader who brings a demonstrable track record of senior level success in a number of the following fields: fundraising, business/charity development, communications, and marketing. They should be both strategic and hands on with a passion for charity development and advocacy.
This role is pivotal to the fundraising and development activities of the charity as it enters a new chapter. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive you will sit firmly on the top team. You will have the opportunity to develop this role as your own and work with an established senior team, highly engaged Board of Trustees and committed staff to grow the charity.

Director of Discipleship
This is an exciting new role leading, expanding, and embedding a vibrant culture of discipleship and faith formation in existing churches, new Christian communities, and children’s and youth groups in every district and circuit across the Methodist Church in Britain.
This role and its related teams will encourage and support clergy and lay leaders in the Church’s major commitments to multi-generational, whole-life discipleship – the long-term journey of becoming, and growing as, followers of Jesus Christ and communities of God’s grace – so that:
1) more Methodist Christians respond to God’s call in every part of their lives;
2) more religiously-unaffiliated people, especially those within rising generations, begin faith journeys and grow into disciples of Jesus Christ; and
3) more churches and communities experience the joy of transformation, growth, and justice.
The successful candidate will further develop, operationalise, and manage the Discipleship/Methodist Way of Life strategic area of the Methodist Church in Britain’s God For All strategy. This will include working strategically; embedding deep learning and practice; managing staff, workplans and budgets; and organizing networks of leaders.
You will be responsible for directing and managing the implementation, integration, alignment, and strategic deployment of two teams – the Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Team and the Discipleship sub-team of the Evangelism and Growth Team – into one unified, multi-generational Discipleship team on the Mission: Evangelism and Growth Team.
You will be a member of the Evangelism and Growth Team of the Methodist Church in Britain, working collaboratively with many other teams, groups, and networks across and beyond the Methodist Church in Britain. You will also be part of the wider Mission Team, playing a key role in implementing its strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life.
In this post, you will have responsibility for the following priorities:
· Supporting, normalising, and directing a culture of discipleship and faith formation in Methodist districts, circuits, and local churches across diverse contexts
· Working with circuit superintendents, district chairs, and other senior leaders to build children’s, youth, and young adult ministry into standard operating missional and ministerial practice in local churches and communities across the Church
· Ensuring that clear discipleship foundations and accessible discipleship pathways are built into all relevant major Methodist events, conferences, festivals, courses, and trainings
· Leading the expansion and cross-Church consistent coordination of networks and pathways for discipleship training, children’s and youth worker’s support and organising, and related aspects of clergy and lay leadership in faith formation
About You
The ideal candidate will need the following:
· Significant training, leadership, and direct work experience in discipleship and faith formation
· An evidenced track record of integrating discipleship and faith formation into the ministry of local churches, new Christian communities, and children’s and youth groups
· Ability to communicate passionately, accessibly, and theologically with diverse audiences, both religiously-unaffiliated and -affiliated
· Ability to manage complexity, operate strategically, and build focused, relational teams
· Abilities as a skilled teacher/trainer, line-manager, and supervisor/coach

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support young people when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for young people, every step of the way.
This role sits within our children and families directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for young people who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services within the Essex area.
We wish to recruit a specialist Boys and Young Mens worker to join our established Essex CARE (Child At Risk of Exploitation) team, supporting male young people aged 8-25 who are at risk of currently victim of exploitation; criminal, sexual, financial or domestic servitude.
You will provide direct therapeutic support to vulnerable young males and support and signpost families who are affected by exploitation. You will provide professional expertise in various panels that review individual risk as well as offer training and resources for other professionals supporting potentially exploited young people.
Support offered will include one to one face to face interventions, targeted group work & online support across the County as well as consultation with professionals.
The young people will require a skilled practitioner who is experienced in working with hard to reach, vulnerable young people at risk through the use of therapeutic approaches. You should have experience of facilitating groups or delivering training with knowledge of the issues and legislation affecting young people who are at risk of exploitation.
What we are looking for...
-You will have substantial experience in working with vulnerable young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. To be able to evidence your ability to build positive relationships with groups of young people to raise awareness about substance use and the associated risks and impact.
-You will have experience of carrying out individual and group work interventions with young people and/or adults, either in an intervention or educative capacity.
-You will have experience in using Microsoft Office Applications and other relevant data systems.
-You can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative as well as be able to contribute to a multi-agency approach so as to enable effective interventions with young people, including delivering training to a range of professionals.
-You hold a full UK driver's license and have access to you own transport.
