Job Title: Systems Analyst (Power Platform)
Salary: £43,000

BACKGROUND
The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to 2.7 million* means that one in five children don't have enough to eat. When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.
Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma. Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.
The new UK government’s Children’s Wellbeing Bill outlined in the King’s Speech, includes a requirement for free school breakfast clubs in every English primary school. This is a fantastic start towards ending child morning hunger. Magic Breakfast’s influence will be instrumental to ensuring school breakfasts are introduced in a way that is hunger-focused and barrier free. In 2021, the Scottish Government, pledged a not yet enacted promise to provide breakfast to primary children.
Thousands of secondary school children are at risk of losing their free school breakfasts from September next year. For many of these students, this is their only opportunity to have a nutritious meal before facing a demanding school day, including taking exams.
Solutions across all UK nations are currently either not yet actioned or are severely underserving the current need. JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst with expertise in Microsoft (Power Platform) who is looking for an exciting opportunity to play an instrumental part in Magic Breakfast’s ongoing data transformation. In this multi-faceted position, you’ll lead the design and development of data-driven solutions using Microsoft Fabric and the Power Platform, while also championing the ongoing evolution and smooth operation of the system. Your expertise will be critical in shaping how the organisation gathers, analyses and utilises data to automate workflows, generate reports and dashboards, and ultimately achieve our strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
System analysis and development

Provide expert advice and guidance to shape solutions for data collection, aggregation, dissemination, and workflow automation using Microsoft Fabric and the Power Platform.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and design, prototype, implement and test scalable data solutions.

Design and maintain scalable data models in Microsoft Fabric to optimise data organisation, ensuring efficient and effective data usage across the organisation.

Extract, cleanse, and transform data using Power Automate from multiple sources into Microsoft Fabric, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable data for analytics and reporting.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement of data systems, processes, and tools within the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

Design and maintain data pipelines tailored to business reporting and analytics needs.

Support and manage integrations between Microsoft Fabric with other systems and tools, including Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, to streamline operations and enhance decision-making.
System administration

Lead the continuous evolution of systems, processes, and tools within the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

Ensure that Microsoft data tools and systems are optimised for performance, scalability, and security.

Implement and maintain data governance policies, ensuring data compliance, security, and accessibility across platforms.

Create process documentation and guides.
User support

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for including Power BI), providing guidance, training and support to internal teams.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration and data accessibility.

Provide support to users of Microsoft tools including Power BI, ensuring they can effectively leverage the platform for their needs.

Triaging points for escalations to Systems and Data Manager.

As our new Policy & Public Affairs Officer, you will play a key role in tracking policy developments, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting NYA’s public affairs work. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and monitor policy developments, parliamentary activity, and government announcements to inform NYA’s advocacy efforts.
- Develop policy briefings, reports, consultation responses, and stakeholder communications to support NYA’s policy and public affairs work.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, public affairs contacts, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement.
- Support youth participation initiatives, helping young people contribute to policy discussions and decision-making.
- Assist in organising and attending policy forums, roundtables, and public affairs events to represent NYA and strengthen its influence.
- Work collaboratively across NYA teams to align policy efforts and enhance advocacy strategies.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- At least 2 years’ experience in policy or public affairs within a charity, government, or think tank, with strong knowledge of UK policy processes and Westminster.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyse data, and present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with project management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with colleagues and external partners.
- A passion for policy and public affairs, highly motivated, and a commitment to NYA’s mission and values.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.
This is a community-based position working from home but covering the Inverness, Moray and Aberdeenshire areas. The candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the regions. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

Job Purpose
As the Growth & Connection Coordinator you will lead the coordination of our flagship weekend event, a contemporary Rites of Passage Adventure (ROPA) for teenage boys. You will also support our local groups in delivering mentoring circles, day intensives and activity sessions. About the Role

Main purpose and scope of the role:
Parentkind is a national charity working with more than 23,500 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs), Parent Councils and Schools. We are the voice of parents in policy making.
We are an ambitious organisation and we are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated individual to support our work in Westminster and Whitehall. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of public affairs, advocacy and/or working in a policy environment.
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual able to take on responsibility and lead.
The role will involve:
- Managing the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Parents to make this one of the most high profile APPGs in Parliament.
- Organising events to communicate our research, including roundtables, lunches/dinners and launch events in Westminster.
- Leading our political and policy stakeholder engagement activity to ensure we have strong relationships where they matter.
- Dissemination of our research to political and policy audiences to ensure our research is seen by the right people.
- Support our parent research, including polling of parents and making policy recommendations based on this research.
As a UK wide charity, you will be expected to support our work in other parts of the UK and the devolved administrations.
We would particularly welcome candidates with media experience, including writing press releases and placing stories with national media outlets.
Duties and key responsibilities
Managing the work of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Parents.
- Developing a plan for the APPG to achieve our ambition of making this one of the most high profile APPGs in Parliament.
- Raising the profile of the APPG for Parents and increasing the number of MPs and peers engaged with its work.
- Organising well attended APPG meetings and events.
- Providing the secretariat to the APPG and working with the Officers to deliver the work of the Group.
Organising events to communicate our research, including roundtables, lunches/dinners and launch events in Westminster.
- Manage and organise research/policy led events with political/policy audiences, including roundtables, lunches/dinners and launch events.
- Increase attendance at these events to make sure we are successfully engaging with political/policy audiences.
Leading our political and policy stakeholder engagement activity to ensure we have strong relationships where they matter.
- Developing our stakeholder database of priority contacts.
- Actively arranging high value meetings to promote Parentkind.
- Maintaining a consistent level of communication with political/policy audiences on behalf of Parentkind.
Dissemination of our research to political and policy audiences to ensure our research is seen by the right people.
- Taking responsibility for high quality dissemination of our research and evidence to political/policy audiences.
Support our parent research, including polling of parents and making policy recommendations based on this research.
- Working across the organisation to support our parent polling activity with engaging and topical questions.
- Support the development of policy recommendations based on our research.
- Writing concise and compelling briefing documents.
Residents must be currently based in or within reasonable commutable distance of London.

Mentor Recruitment Lead £32,000 per annum (pro-rata) plus London weighting if successful candidate is in London
Full time role (37.5 hours) with an initial 6-month fixed term contract continuing subject to funding.
Remote working, with the option for hybrid working (up to two days in the office) if located 45 minutes away from one of our offices in London, Manchester and Cardiff.

1MM Mentor Recruitment Lead main tasks include:
● Build, lead, own and execute 1MM’s mentor recruitment strategy
● Source enough mentors to ensure 1MM has an oversupply (c.15% higher than demand) of fully trained, location relevant mentors available
● Build a sustainable growth engine that ensures the pipeline of mentors remains sufficient on an ongoing basis
● Work with key stakeholders across the business to improve conversion rates by refining our onboarding process
● Meeting all quality assurance KPIs

Establishing employers, professional networks, community groups etc. as Volunteer Providers.
● Ensure key partners are smoothly handed over to the relevant colleagues within the business at the appropriate time.
● Provide regular reports on progress related to the role.

Remuneration and benefits: Salary bracket of £32,000 (pro rata) plus London weighting if successful candidate lives in London,, up to 6.5% employer pension contribution and 25 days holiday per year (pro rata).
