The Evidence & Evaluation Manager / Senior Economist will work in a dedicated Impact and Evidence directorate.
You will be central to our ambition to create the largest repository of robust evidence and evaluations of what works to support young people into good jobs.
- In the directorate, you will support the Head of Evaluation to ensure all Youth Futures’ investments are designed to provide robust evidence of what works.
- The postholder will design, commission and manage impact evaluations and support impact evaluation methods (through a statistics or economics background) within the team. Working closely with commissioned independent evaluators, programme staff, wider delivery partners and colleagues in our Grants and Investment directorate.
- You will also work with colleagues to develop new programmes, which will improve the evidence base on supporting young people into good jobs by working with partners able to run larger-scale trials.
- You will contribute to the development of our suite of ‘evaluation architecture’, enhancing our data infrastructure and administrative dataset access, as well as methodological guidance and standards.
This role can be based at any of our hubs located in Birmingham, Leeds or London. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

As an apprentice, you will work within a parish to develop and strengthen its children and youth ministry while studying with Ridley London. This three-year apprenticeship leads to a Certificate in Higher Education (Level 4) in Foundations in Theology, Ministry and Mission, with a focus on youth and children’s work.
You’ll be employed for 21 hours per week, spending 16 hours in the parish and 5 hours studying. Applicants must apply with a linked parish.

- Engaging with children and young people, building positive relationships and supporting their faith journey.
- Helping to lead activities such as Sunday school, messy church, youth groups, and holiday clubs.

- Leading discipleship courses for young people.
- Assisting with administration related to children’s and youth work.
- Attending regular team meetings, supervision sessions, and training as part of the apprenticeship.

- GCSE/NVQ Level 2 qualifications, or a commitment to achieving these within the first year.
- A willingness to commit to a three-year apprenticeship, combining study, training, and hands-on experience.

The National House Project (NHP) is committed to working with care experienced young people, encouraging them to take ownership of their futures and supporting them to live connected and fulfilling lives. The approach was co-designed with young people from the start and is centred around a groupwork approach. It supports young people to move into properties that become their homes whilst also building a strong and supportive friendship network.
NHP supports Local Authorities to establish Local House Projects (LHPs) and put young people at the centre of the decision-making processes Once an LHP has been established it supports staff to work with young people in an inclusive way, encouraging them to find the solutions to the challenges they face. LHPs enable young people to leave care in a planned and supported way, their outcomes are improved, and staff develop a way of working that is relationship based and psychologically informed.
To ensure that young people are involved at every level of the organisation each LHP elects two young people to represent them at the Care Leavers National Movement (CLNM). This forum provides the platform to hear, amplify and act on the voice of young people, who not only support the development of their own LHP but also contribute to developing practice and policy at a national level. CLNM meets regularly, undertakes Peer Evaluations, hosts and delivers their own National Conference and provides an ‘expert user’ consultancy. Members from this group also sit on the Board of Trustees as expert advisors.
We are looking for someone who is motivated and experienced in working with young people and excited by the thought of working directly with young people and supporting them to have their voices heard and acted upon.
Many people go into youth work and social work to do just that but find that the systems that sit around large organisations inhibit the difference that can be made. At NHP you will be able to use your energy and enthusiasm to work in a creative way, enabling young people to use their care experience to make a positive difference to the way in which those systems support them. You will work with CLNM as well as the core NHP team to ensure that young people continue to drive our work at both a local and national level.
You will need to have a professional/academic qualification in a related field eg Youth Work, Social Work, Education, Health. Current registration with a professional body is desirable. The NHP office is in Crewe. We support hybrid working and currently spend a minimum of two days in the office. In this role you will be expected to travel to LHPs and attend meetings across the country on a regular basis. There will be some planned weekend work throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities
Oversight of Spear Programme
- Lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work.
- Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach.
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education.
Partnership liaison and relationship management
- Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective.
- Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.
Line Management and training
- Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
- Be line managed by Resurgo to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.
Church Community
- The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by The Mount, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community.
- You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members, and help to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
- Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.
Site management and set-up
- Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening.
- Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies..

This role will work closely with the NI Programme Manager to coordinate project activities and provide high-level project support primarily for the work of the Early Childhood Unit in Northern Ireland. The post holder will also be responsible for coordination of the organisation-wide NI Community of Practice and will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the NI Director and Assistant Director on maintaining and growing our stakeholder engagement efforts in NI.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced public affairs professional to join our small staff team to lead our public affairs activity and to grow the influence of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. This is an exciting opportunity to influence positive change at a time of significant policy and political developments.
As Public Affairs Advisor, you will lead on the Coalition’s public affairs and influencing activity. You will be responsible for influencing the Government’s policy and legislative agenda relating to children and young people’s mental health, forging relationships with the new Parliament, and ensuring the Coalition’s views are heard across Westminster and Whitehall.
With over 370 members across the country, our Coalition has a significant potential to extend its influence. Many of our existing members are well placed to influence at a local level through working with their NHS Integrated Care Boards, councils and MPs, but do not always feel confident carrying out public affairs work. As Public Affairs Adviser, you will work with our members to upskill them to carry out their own influencing activity through a series of ‘Learning and Development’ workshops.
You will have Public Affairs experience of developing successful strategies to influence legislation or government policy, have strong knowledge of political systems and processes, have existing networks and contacts, and feel passionate about creating positive change for babies, children and young people.
This is a new role within the Coalition staff team and is generously supported by the Prudence Trust and the Hollick Family Foundation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the Coalition’s parliamentary influencing strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with Parliamentarians and other key stakeholders, such as civil servants and special advisers.
- Lead the Coalition’s engagement with Parliament and Government, ensuring strong systems are in place to capture and track engagement.
- Monitor and respond to political and legislative developments affecting our work, making recommendations for responses, and proactively seeking opportunities to further the Coalition’s objectives.
- Provide political intelligence to the staff team, Chair and our members, and help to prepare staff for parliamentary activity as appropriate.
- Produce high quality written briefings, reports and other materials that communicate our messages clearly and effectively to a parliamentary audience. This will also include contributing to other Coalition communications such as media responses, newsletters, blogs, and social media posts.
- Plan and deliver events aimed at political stakeholders, for example, parliamentary events and roundtables.
- Participate in collaborations with other charities for shared influencing activities, for example the Fund the Hubs campaign and the Future Minds campaign.
- Support work on legislation as appropriate, including drafting amendments.
Working with members
- Regularly engage with members to understand their influencing priorities and to gather insight to help inform the Coalition’s wider influencing priorities.
- Connect Coalition members to decision makers and help spotlight their work, for example, helping to organise visits to services.
- Provide advice to members on engaging with their local decision-makers such as their local MP, Integrated Care Boards and Councillors.
- Deliver workshops with members to share information and skills related to influencing and public affairs activity. For example, this could include delivery of sessions on influencing local systems, working with the government, and legislative processes.
General
- Work closely with the Coalition Lead, the Policy and Public Affairs Assistant, and Chair of the Coalition to develop and review priorities for the Coalition and support to drive these forwards. You will also be required to work closely with the staff at Centre for Mental Health.

About the role:
The Children & Young People Worker will be based in our Brent service and hold responsibility for delivering one to one and group work services for children of the age of 5 – 18 years, where there is domestic abuse perpetrated from one parent to another or in the household. The post holder will provide support and advocacy for young people and identify and improve referral pathways for those experiencing domestic violence and abuse to access ongoing support.
The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse as its effects on women and children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and young people’s sectors. As an experienced children and young people’s advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis, and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with children survivors of domestic abuse and working with young people and children in face-to-face and group-work is essential for this post as is working within safeguarding principles and promoting a strong partnership approach to service provision.
A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

Youth Options are looking for an interim head of fundraising to join our Senior Management Team and help us to continue to support children and young people
The role is offered on a fixed term contract part time basis with flexible, hybrid home and office working arrangements from our Head Office in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
Your role will be to oversee the implementation of the fundraising strategy, working in collaboration with the CEO and Senior Management Team to build on existing income streams and develop effective plans to secure long-term sustainable grant and non grant fundraising.
You will manage the fundraising team which consists of community fundraiser, corporate fundraiser and grants officer, supporting them to develop clear strategies to meet our ambitious fundraising targets. In addition, you will personally lead on developing significant grant bids, working with the delivery team to achieve funding to support our strategic priorities, as well as coordinate the reporting of progress against existing grants to our supporters.
