This is a full-time and permanent position, based either from Home, in our Market Harborough office or Nottingham Hub.

Role description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated self-driven, and energetic individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Corporate Fundraising Officer. You will lead on fostering excellent working relationships with potential and existing corporate partners. You will need to work closely with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to shape the plans required for the future.

The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire excellent relationships by increasing charity of the year partnerships and employee fundraising/giving. You will be target driven, proactive, a determined self-starter and thrive on working with a range of partners, encouraging them to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity. 

Main Responsibilities: 

• Proactively source, research and approach new corporates in order to achieve annual income targets with a focus on charity of the year partnerships, payroll giving, employee fundraising/giving, peer to peer initiatives and marketing opportunities. 

• Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities.  

• Devise and implement a long-term corporate fundraising strategy to cultivate and secure significant donations from new and existing supporters. 

• Curate an excellent cultivation and stewardship journey in order to build and strengthen relationships and maximise income to meet agreed income targets.

• Attend and contribute to networking events, whilst actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors.  

• Identify, pursue and make applications to corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships.  

• Develop creative fundraising campaigns and commercial sponsorship opportunities working with the events team to support with event costs.

• Work with the wider charity team to identify networks of prospective corporate partners and plan relationship building as most appropriate. 

• Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up, and ensure records are kept up to date in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. 

• Coordinate and organise corporate volunteering activities for our corporate partners. 

• Organise events for, and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility.  

• Support the fundraising team with social media content ideas that highlight our activities and showcase the impact of corporate engagement. 

Other: 

• To keep updated with guidance and best practice from the Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising. 

• Work closely with hospital consultants and other individuals leading on approved projects to ensure a full understanding of the project that can be relayed back to both existing and potential corporate partners.

​Person Specification: 

Knowledge and experience -

• Excellent IT skills including using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint as well as experience of administering and maintaining dedicated supporter CMS databases. 

• Knowledge of a fundraising database and knowledge of fundraising regulations e.g. GDPR (Beacon used). 

• Experience of collaborating with companies to encourage employee fundraising for charities. 

• Ability to effectively work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities. 

• Experience of working in corporate fundraising with a proven track record of at least 2 years’ experience. 

Skills, abilities, and behaviours -

• Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000.  

• Confident and skilled in delivering presentations to a diverse range of supporters, whether in groups, individually, in person, or remotely.  

• Proven experience in crafting persuasive cases for support and donor updates that motivate giving.  

• Excellent understanding of CSR, social value and employee engagement. 

• Expertise in building and maintaining strong donor relationships to ensure sustained support.  

• Strong writing skills for creating compelling cases for support and effectively presenting the organisation’s work to potential donors.  

• Ability to develop, analyse, and interpret budgets and financial information.  

• Proficient in using databases for fundraising performance analysis.  

• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to motivate and influence people. 

• Ability to build personal, meaningful relationships with colleagues, customers, supporters, and donors.

The Role of Website Designer

We are seeking a talented Web Designer to work on two key projects over a 4.5-month contract period:

1. DBF Project: This involves implementing a full website remap, refresh and improvement to the current UX and design. The planning phase is complete, and the design process will be based on the existing platform/provider.

2. TFC Project: This will focus on creating a new website on a new platform, replacing the current site. There will also be a requirement for content management and integration.

This is a short-term post with the opportunity to work on impactful projects for dynamic organizations. If you have a keen eye for design, platform versatility, and experience in website creation and improvement, we’d love to hear from you!

The main responsibilities of the Website Designer are:

• Refresh the Diocesan Board of Finance’s website to improved clarity and user experience.
• Work within the existing website platform and in collaboration with the platform developers, Church Edit, who are funded and supported by a consortium of 20 Diocese.
•  Liaise with organisational department leads to ensure content is accurate and up to date.
•  Work with the Communications team to improve the current website’s overall functionality and design.
• Redesign Together for Change website and ensure the website content is accurate and up to date to outline the charity’s projects and keys areas of focus.
• Demonstrate through an updated online presence, Together for Change’s key partnerships
• Update Together for Change’s social media presence and ensure to align with updated website content, the DBF’s website and the charity’s ‘Saints Projects’ online presence.

• Experience in website creation and upgrades to improve website functionality and design.
• Experience of engaging with a variety of audiences through social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X.

About the role

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract for a 14-week period, covering for a team member on sabbatical. The role has the following primary responsibilities:

• Create and support management of content across our digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email newsletters.

What the job involves

We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.

Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.

Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.

You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.

In this role, you’ll also need the ability to prioritise tasks and handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and manage challenging conversations when needed. Experience with online community moderation and staying informed on current web tools and trends will be advantageous as we continuously improve our site.

Senior Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships

The Worker Rights Consortium (WRC) is seeking a Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships. This person will lead the WRC’s fundraising and partnerships operations to maintain and grow our financial resources, including working with foundations, other institutional grantors, and large individual donors. The Senior Director will also spearhead external communication about the organization’s accomplishments and strategic vision to audiences relevant to our fundraising and partnership building efforts.

About the Worker Rights Consortium

The WRC is one of the world’s leading corporate accountability organizations. We support garment workers and their unions around the world who are fighting to end labor rights abuses and win better wages and conditions in the supply chains of major global brands. The WRC conducts investigations in factories in more than two dozen countries, documents and exposes labor rights violations, and pressures corporations to deliver concrete remedies to workers. And we pursue strategies to achieve systemic change: pressing global corporations to sign binding agreements with unions and end the pricing practices that compel their suppliers to pay poverty wages, subject workers to long hours of forced overtime, and ignore worker safety in order to slash costs.

Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships

The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will lead fundraising, outreach, and engagement for the WRC at the level of both strategy and implementation. The WRC’s current annual budget is US$3.3 million, and we seek to grow this in line with our program strategy to roughly $5–6 million over the next two to three years.

Areas of responsibility include:

• Designing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to progressively increase annual revenue, including identifying, building relationships with, and securing new funding from foundations, other institutional funders, and individuals, as well as pursuing opportunities to expand relationships with current funders;
• Creating and implementing a framework for strategic external partnership communications, including working with the WRC’s global field team to convey the real-world impact of the WRC’s work and overseeing relevant enhancements to the WRC’s website and other communications pathways;
• Leading on grant writing and framing of external communications;
• Supporting the Executive Director and other colleagues to engage with, and ensure coherent messaging to, donors and other partners—including ensuring that the WRC participates in relevant conferences, convenings, and other discussions related to our organizational mission and objectives;
• Supervising the work of a second development professional who has day-to-day responsibility for grant management, grant reporting, implementation of sub-grantee/grantor arrangements, management of the organization’s small individual donor program, and who also assists with preparation of grant proposals;
• Monitoring progress on grant-funded projects through regular communication with program staff;
• Participating in the development of overall organizational strategy and aligning fundraising strategies accordingly; and
• Contributing to financial reporting and oversight.

This is a full-time position, available immediately. The position is hybrid for a successful candidate who resides in the Washington, DC-area or remote in the case of a candidate who resides elsewhere.

The WRC will consider candidates located within six hours of the US Eastern time zone. For international candidates and US candidates based outside of Washington, DC, the position requires periodic travel to Washington, DC, and possibly other countries in which the WRC works. The Senior Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships will report to the WRC’s Executive Director.

Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• A minimum of seven years’ experience in fundraising for nonprofit organizations and/or seven years’ combined experience with fundraising and strategic communications;
• A substantial track record of successfully cultivating institutional donors and proven experience in establishing new fundraising partnerships;
• Significant experience in communications and storytelling, with an ability to distill complex analysis and program work into communications that inspire and motivate our audiences;
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to initiate, build, and maintain working relationships with existing and potential grantors and a global team across numerous time zones;
• Strong budget management skills and experience delivering against financial targets;
• Excellent organizational and project management skills and rigorous attention to detail;
• Energy, enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a sense of humor; and
• A commitment to workers’ rights and corporate accountability.

The following are desirable but not required:

• Experience with labor rights work; and
• Experience working in an international context.

Compensation

Compensation for this position is $115,000–$135,000 per year, depending on relevant experience (adjusted to the local currency, where applicable). The WRC provides its US staff, who are covered by a union contract, with an excellent benefits package, including 100% employer-paid family health insurance, including dental and vision care, with an additional flexible spending plan with employer contribution; 401(k) retirement plan with employer contribution; and five weeks paid vacation.

Position Summary
The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking to appoint a Social Media and Content Manager towork with the Marketing team to promote all aspects of the offer – someone who is passionate about social media and is excited to be an innovator in the sector.

The newly created role will be focused on developing and implementing a new social and content strategy, with strands of activity that focus on growing and engaging audiences, raising the profile of the Orchestra on a global scale and maximising income. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and optimisation of all our social channels, as well as content development and capture. Importantly, the candidate will work closely with the Marketing and Concerts teams to ensure our social channels are full of rich and engaging content, and a central part of the marketing mix. They will need to be confident in developing relationships pan- organisation, as they will work closely with a core group of staff and players to expand the capture and development of content.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

• With the Marketing team and any external research/audience agencies, develop an annual content and social strategy and planner, which serves all areas of the business and campaigns
• Develop a brand personality appropriate to each channel, which builds on the Philharmonia core brand mission and values
• Develop a strategy for paid social activity and digital advertising
• Look at the introduction of more social channels, where appropriate
• Using various analytics tools, and tied to the wider organisational data strategy, develop reports for circulation on a regular basis, which show growth in audience numbers and engagement

Project Management:

• Schedule and optimise social channels (organic), ensuring there is a variety of content with a consistent TOV and brand, which delivers audience engagement, growth, and diversification
• Schedule and optimise paid social and digital advertising to maximise best performing channels
• Work with Managers to support with SEO and website navigation, as part of the whole customer journey
• With the Managers and an external agency, support with optimisation of the Google Grant account
• Analyse the effectiveness of all social and content and implement any optimisations and learnings
• Attend concerts and activities where relevant and part of the strategy, in order to capture imagery, stories and footage
• Coordinate with the stage management and concerts teams to ensure that information is shared well in advance and opportunities are maximised
• Work with partner venues and organisations to promote the work we do as engagements and on tour, in support of both parties’ strategies
• Work with the Data and Insight Manager to improve data capture, monitoring and understanding

Leadership and Management:

• With the Director of Marketing & Comms, work to engage the whole Orchestra in the production of content
• Work with a core group of players and staff to build confidence in the creation of content and capture, building a strong in-house team

Managerial Responsibilities:

• Attend workshops/conferences/seminars to be on the front foot of social media and content development – share learnings with the team and other stakeholders
• Be a brand guardian for the Philharmonia identity, working with the Director of Marketing & Comms to evolve and optimise branding across online channels and beyond
• Work with Director of Marketing & Comms on new online projects that may arise, as part of the programme and business development

Skills and Qualifications
Essential:

• Minimum three years’ experience in a relevant role
• A champion for social media and content development
• Knowledge of all social platforms, Google Analytics and other reporting tools
• Passion and interest for music and the arts, with a good understanding of orchestras
• Some experience in photography/videography (does not need to be an academic qualification
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to communicate convincingly to a diverse range of people
• Excellent interpersonal and social skills, with the ability to create strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and colleagues
• Ability to work successfully as part of a team as well as to use own initiative
• Ability to prioritise a mixed workload and to work to tight deadlines
• Willingness to have a hands-on attitude
• Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends both within London and the rest of the UK (occasionally internationally)

Desirable:

• Experience of working with a similar arts organisation
• Experience of working with musicians or other creative artists

You will be responsible for cultivating and contributing to a "continuous improvement" environment and will be proactive in the management of your staff, the rotas, and the budgets for your services.
You will be responsible for the quality of the service, as well as the finances and team performance, ensuring that the people that we support are given opportunities to pursue their interests and life goals.  Some of the people we support have profound and multiple learning disabilities alongside other complex healthcare needs such as physical disabilities, Epilepsy, Dysphagia, non-verbal, require peg feeding and some may require involvement with manual handling and supporting people with all aspects of their personal care.
Whilst it is not essential that you have direct experience as a Manager, it is important that you have some management experience, and a good knowledge of the health and social care sector. You will be working within the supported living environment. 
The role will challenge, excite and never be dull but will be truly rewarding.
You must be competent in using IT.
Your working week is flexible covering 7 days per week and will include working weekends and an on-call rota shared with your Senior Support Workers. Flexibility is key.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensure everyone  receives a service that:

2. Work in a consistent and positive way with managers and other team members   to ensure receive a great service from the whole team. Ensure all EPM  policies and procedures are followed e.g. that:

• support plans, referrals and risk assessments are followed up, actioned and reviewed.

• medication processes are adhered to.

• money is managed effectively.

• health and safety practices are carried out.

• records on the Charitylog database are kept up to date.

• information is communicated to staff, members and families in a timely and accessible fashion.

3. Actively lead the Floating Support Team’s development through coaching, training, supervision, appraisals and team and management meetings.

4. Work alongside the Chief Finance and Operating Officer, CEO and Activities and the Trustees to develop and action strategic plans to maintain, develop, and promote EPM and our services.

5. Promote best practice across the service and the organisation through participation in external and         organisational wide projects and forums. 

6. Participate in the emergency on-call emergency rota (approx 10 nights per month) - £35 per night).

7. Take lead responsibility for the performance and delivery of the support contracts, overseeing the FS Senior Support workers. 

8. Ensure performance standards are evidenced and quality is upheld in everything that the team’ do in complying with relevant CQC, contractual and organisational standards, outcomes and procedures. 

9. To provide written and verbal reports on outcomes to Trustees at the regular Council of Management Meetings. To monitor and review service user and carer feedback, complaints and incident reports and use this information to inform and improve future services and practice.

10. Lead and manage the team to support personalised rota planning via Charitylog (inclusive of day, night and overnight activity) and service user timetables.

11. To lead the Housing Management service, working with the FS SSWs to ensure tenancies are managed appropriately, records maintained, and reports completed for Housing Associations in a timely fashion.

12. To be responsible for, or delegate recruitment of staff and provide excellent leadership, direction and effective management of the team’s resources and finances. 

13. To plan, set and manage project budgets appropriately. To ensure project and individual finances are recorded, managed and monitored appropriately.   

14. Ensure professional standards and   best practice act as key drivers within a culture of continuous service improvement, value for money and safe practice.
