The Role:
Muslim Hands UK is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate individual to support our HR Services. The Postholder will work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of the HR team, being integral in the provision of the required support and direct assistance with all aspects of the day-to-day running of the department. The HR Assistant shall progressively take ownership of a variety operational activities whilst ensuring all administrational expectations of the HR department are met to (and maintained at) a high standard.
Job Specifics:
- To develop relationships with and assist staff at all levels within the organisation by providing a comprehensive HR service, dealing with general HR enquiries face to face, by email, by telephone or by other approved means; including regularly representing the HR Department at other Muslim Hands’ sites in order to provide the same.
- To support with the delivery and attainment of the key performance indicators of the HR Department, aiming to achieve over and beyond the department’s expectations at every opportunity.
- To champion operational effectiveness of the HR Department and ensure the responsibilities of the post are conducted in a way that reflects the standards, vision and values of the organisation.
- To proactively support with the full life cycle of all staff recruited, from drafting / adding adverts, managing recruitment campaigns, adding new starters to our HR systems, induction, probation, absence management, variations of contracts, leavers to providing after-care.
- To effectively manage the ‘HR Inbox’ resolving queries and escalating/forwarding concerns to the HR Manager for effective decision making and resolution.

Person Specification
Essential
- Ability to demonstrate current eligibility to work within the United Kingdom
- Must be able to either:
(1) Provide a valid Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate (issued within the last year) when requested by Muslim Hands; OR (2) Undertake to provide full cooperation for Muslim Hands to perform a DBS Check at the required level appropriate for this / similar role.

About the role
Right now, we’re looking for a technical expert with experience of developing and maintaining ELT pipelines to move data between enterprise applications (a mix of both in-house and external and on-prem and in the cloud). Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for developing ETL processes using Fabric and Synapse linking from a variety of data sources to a wide variety of targets on-prem, cloud platforms and in Azure. We’ll also rely on you to ensure business requirements for new data feeds or changes are understood and translated into efficient and effective technical solutions. Exploring new ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data management across Shelter will be important too, as will transforming and centralising raw data from multiple platforms into user friendly reporting data. Writing, validating and executing test plans, troubleshooting performance issues and supporting Shelter’s wider data management initiatives – all are aspects of this interesting and varied role.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working collaboratively as part of an integral, multi-disciplinary team addressing the physical, emotional and social needs of children and young people who may be neurodivergent, as well as their families using the service
- Maintaining relevant knowledge and understanding of safeguarding standards, ensuring compliance with Norwood’s policies and procedures for promoting the welfare of children and young people as well as vulnerable young adults

Your new role
Working under the remit of the Head of Data Engineering as part of the Digital Directorate, the Data Engineers will be key members of the Data Engineering team working primarily on day to day ETL operations, as well as working with the wider Performance Team and Digital Team to meet the data management needs of the Trust.
As a Data Engineer you will be fundamental in developing and constructing data models for our services data warehousing needs as well as integrating them into systems and business processes to support self-serve reporting, compliance reporting and third-party data integrations.
You will provide specialist advice across a range of IM&T areas e.g. applications, information interpretation, data analysis, information reporting, information governance.
What you'll need to succeed
As an experienced Data professional with proven skills of managing and maintaining a data warehouse within a large organisation, you will have expertise in writing ETL scripts and code and ensuring that the ETL process performs optimally. The role requirement will involve implementing data flows to connect operational systems, data for analytics and business intelligence (BI) systems.
A key responsibility will be to re-engineer manual data flows to enable scaling and repeatable use in an automated way and to support the build of data streaming systems. You should have a thorough understanding of the concepts and principles of data modelling and metadata management, and you will need to be able to design, code and execute test scripts to support ETL processes defined within our platforms.

About the role
The Creative Minds Programme funded by the National Lottery, is designed to enhance mental health and wellbeing for adults in West Kent through engaging in creative activities.
These 24-week programmes are held in various locations across West Kent and are conducted in collaboration with professional artists, local arts organisations, and supported by the West Kent Mind community wellbeing team.
Open to adults (over the age of 18) in West Kent, the programme offers inclusive, free sessions in a wide range of artforms.
Key Objectives include boosting confidence, fostering connections, enhancing life skills, and increasing participants' ability to manage their mental health and support others.
Now in its second year, the programme aims to support 864 adults over three years, with a focus on those with mental health challenges or feelings of loneliness. In addition to creative workshops, the programme offers leadership training to select participants, empowering them to become "Creative Agents." These agents lead "Creative Places" to engage the wider public in community-based creative activities.
The programme is set to conclude in March 2026.
Who you are
All previous experience may be paid or voluntary, full, or part-time, in the UK or overseas.
· Ideally, you will have previously supported people with their mental health and wellbeing.
· You know how to quicky and effectively process referrals.

Key Responsibilities
· Together with the Community and Partnerships Manager, you will be setting and completing work objectives.
· You will be putting your administration skills to use to keep accurate records and in line with GDPR processes.

Main purpose of the job

- Grant and contract management, from point of contract negotiation and signature, to quality assurance during implementation, and working with other SCUK departments to support reporting. Ensure awards in the portfolio are compliant with donor requirements and SC quality standards
- Provide support to COs in meeting key programme deliverables, as well as other donor expectations.
- Ensure relevant quality assurance processes are completed so that programmes are running effectively and on time.
- Identify new funding opportunities, as follow-on from existing awards and/or as part of the day-to-day interaction with donors. Provide input in or lead on bid management for SCUK institutional and non-institutional proposals
- Direct representation role with counterparts in SCUK, donor organisations, partner and NGO networks in relation to awards portfolio and pipeline.
Funding portfolio sub-set oversight
- Provide oversight, support and prioritisation for the management of the portfolio sub-set under their responsibility, acting as first point of senior advice and decision-making on complex issues, involving medium to low risk, brought forward by the PMs working in the same portfolio sub-set.
- Monitor risks and issues developments within the portfolio sub-set, making sure that the Programme Management Lead and PP senior management are aware and fully briefed of issues requiring major strategic decisions.
- Approve and sign-off opportunities and documents, as per delegated authority, within the portfolio sub-set.
- Provide input to the Programme Management Lead and ROs in resource mobilisation strategies for COs and donors within the portfolio sub-set, making sure that agreed priorities are implemented by PMs, as well as other teams, working in the portfolio sub-set.
- Monitor KPIs and other data related to programme and funding management, providing analysis to relevant stakeholders.
People management
- Provide effective and timely day-to-day support and manage workload for PMs working in the portfolio sub-set under the SPM's responsibility (‘work management'), as part of matrix management with the Programme Management Lead. Contribute to setting annual objectives and priorities and provide input in annual reviews.
About you
It is important that you have:
- Extensive experience in project and grant/contract management, with knowledge of institutional donor compliance requirements
- Extensive experience working with institutional donors such as FCDO, UN and multilateral agencies (e.g. UNICEF, OCHA, World Bank), particularly on proposal development and report writing.
- Experience in Payment by Result and/or Outcome based contracts an asset.
- Significant experience of working in the international aid sector, including in overseas roles, with practical experience and understanding of related contextual and operational issues. Good working knowledge of one or more countries supported by SCUK
- Strong working knowledge of international development/humanitarian issues.
- Significant financial processes and reporting skills
- Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different organisations, functions, and cultures, often remotely.
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, in order to organise and prioritise multiple tasks efficiently, manage reactive and proactive work, and deliver tasks to tight deadlines.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and implement effective processes for achieving outcomes.
- Proven attention for detail and ability to effectively manage a high volume of data and information.
- Very strong team skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and collaborate both within and outside the team
- Fluent in French & English (Speaking & writing) is essential

About the role
As an Operations and Planning Officer at British Heart Foundation (BHF) you’ll play a vital role in supporting the strategic planning, operational monitoring and reporting of activities across our medical team.
You’ll support the three key areas of our operations team: portfolio and planning, operations, and culture and engagement, and will be given exposure to a breadth of activities, including our portfolio management, where embedding a culture of project management and clear planning and prioritisation processes are key.
You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager to support on the operationalisation of key business processes and initiatives, whilst also providing support to meetings and forums for communication and engagement including directorate initiatives such as our culture forum.
There will be opportunities for growth across all three areas but particularly in relation to project management and continuous improvement.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working 1-2 days per week from their office in Gravesend.
The person in this role will strategically lead the Hospice lottery to maximise income through developing new approaches and increasing its profile whilst ensuing full Gambling Commission compliance. The role of the Lottery Manager is twofold – working with agencies and spotting promotional opportunities to acquire and recruit new players, whilst cherishing and valuing those we already have by thanking them and keeping them informed of the difference their support makes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a strategy to ensure long term and sustainable growth of lottery income with support from the Head of Individual Giving.
• Working towards agreed KPIs and income targets for the lottery, by increasing membership and reducing attrition.
• To possess up-to-date and thorough operational familiarity with the Lottery Conditions and Codes of Practice outlined by the Gambling Commission (Gambling Act 2005) and to ensure adherence to these regulations in all work activities.
• To manage the lottery income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets and expenditure remain on budget.
• Develop our digital presence (website, social media, etc.) to source new acquisition and increase our local community’s awareness of the lottery.

• Work closely with our Retail outlets both in terms of venues for potential members, and to ensure our lottery is promoted to all customers and supporters.
• Deliver the stewardship plan for our lottery players, from the point of sign up, spotting opportunities to retain and develop them further maximising the lifetime value of every supporter.
• Ensure that all communication with lottery supporters is captured through the Fundraising database CRM System (donorflex).
Person Specification:
• Proven, long term track record of delivering successful income generation campaigns and activity in a business or charity – ideally relating to charity lotteries.
• Experience in a target driven environment like fundraising or sales.
• Experience of working with marketing teams and other departments to support objective delivery.
• High level of specialist knowledge and experience in lottery income generating role. (Desirable)
