Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in 2020 by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated researchers, doctors and nurses working alongside Professor Emma Crosbie. Since then, the original founders have been joined by invaluable volunteers and 2 staff members to ensure we can raise awareness, support patients, fund and promote womb cancer research.
Womb cancer, also known as endometrial and uterine cancer, is the most common gynaecological cancer in the UK. Affecting approximately 9,700 people annually, most are diagnosed over 50 years of age and have gone through the menopause, but womb cancer can affect younger women too. When diagnosed at an early stage, womb cancer is often treatable: when diagnosed at early stages, 1 and 2, the survival rate is 92%. However, when the disease is diagnosed at later stages, 3 and 4, the survival rate reduces to 15%. Currently 1 in 5 women, or people with a womb, are diagnosed at advanced stages. Latest figures show that the equivalent of 27 people every day are receiving a new womb cancer diagnosis and 7 people are dying from this disease every day in the UK. Peaches want to change that and save lives. We can't think of a better way to spend your time and deploy your skills.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, diligent and skilled CNS to help develop and provide support services.
Role overview
Over the next 12 months, we have exciting plans to enhance the support services offered by Peaches to ensure we can meet the diverse needs of those affected by womb cancer. We envisage support services delivered will build upon our current monthly virtual peer support coffee mornings to include more bespoke and frequent meetings as well as an online peer support group, online peer events and some in-person events. Remote working contract for 12 hours per week on a 12 month contract. We may request that you attend in person strategy meetings in Manchester on a quarterly basis and some in person support events
Key responsibilities
Development of support services including an online peer support group, online peer support events, webinar series and in person events.
Manage support queries, set up of online events and peer support group including set up and moderation with assistance from charity staff...
Assisting in the development of content related to support services to include in monthly newsletter and social media.
Support the development of medical information pages on website and in print literature.
Help to facilitate the expansion of our network of CNS and healthcare professionals with an interest in womb cancer. Develop relationships to ensure appropriate signposting to charity and national awareness of support services offered through attendance at relevant conferences and events.
Ensure safeguarding of those requesting support and participating in peer support services.
We are looking for someone with the following:
Band 7 qualified Cancer Nurse Specialist with experience of caring for those affected by womb cancer
NMC registered
Previous experience of caring for others in a sensitive manner
Up to date knowledge of womb cancer
Previous experience of facilitating one to one support
Previous experience of facilitating group sessions is desirable but not required

THE ROLE
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Benefits Entitlements and Claims Support Officer, to work on either a full or part time basis. Job Share applications are also welcome.
This role provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help the charity build its profile amongst regional stakeholders whilst delivering projects that seek to bring an end to fuel poverty and to the misery of cold homes that is experienced by over 6 million households in the UK.
NEA’s Benefits Entitlements and Claims Support Officers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. The post holder will be responsible for giving comprehensive benefit entitlement advice and support to householders. The post holder will obtain relevant information about a client’s circumstances and offer accurate guidance about potential eligibility for additional benefit entitlements. This will include the completion of application forms as appropriate. Advice will be given over the phone, via online contact and in face-to-face settings where appropriate.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
You will have a good understanding of Welfare Rights, including entitlements, systems, claim processes and current legislation and practices. Demonstrable experience of providing advice via telephone and face to face.
You will need good organisational skills, excellent communication skills as well as an understanding of the needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders.
NEA has several office locations throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and welcomes applicants from all regions. NEA’s Energy Advisers are empathetic, polite and have good listening skills but are also knowledgeable, assertive, and confident. Their main role is to provide one to one advice to clients referred through the charity’s Warm and Safe Homes helpline and to deliver energy advice presentations to groups. They also get involved in a range of tasks to support these activities. Energy Advisers sit within the Communities Directorate and are part of a dynamic and caring team of professionals who go the extra mile to support their clients, some of whom may be in difficult circumstances.

What you will need to succeed
Working within our Communities Directorate you will have demonstrable experience of delivering Energy Advice and helping others. Therefore, it is vital that you have empathy, confidence and knowledge of the issues facing vulnerable low-income households.
You will have knowledge and understanding of the environmental, social and economic problems of deprived areas and the roles of the public, private and voluntary sectors in tackling them.
You will also have knowledge of assistance available for energy efficiency improvements to low-income households.
You will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience and understanding of how to effectively address the energy needs of low income, vulnerable or disadvantaged householders – with the desire to make a positive difference to people’s lives.

Your Role

About the role
We are now looking for someone to join our education team as a Research Officer.
You will manage complex projects in support of Gatsby’s objectives in education, including undertaking quantitative and qualitative research and scoping and commissioning research from academics, consultancies and think tanks to inform Gatsby programmes. You will be expected to represent Gatsby at external meetings, organise meetings and events, and develop strong working relationships with key partners.

Our purpose is to create space where mental health comes first. We do this through working in partnership with other agencies and providing services in a trauma-informed way. This role will work collaboratively within Manchester City Council’s multi-disciplinary Thriving Families Team to support families where children are open to Child Protection or Child In Need Plans, to ensure that young people and their families are better able to access appropriate support services for their mental health leading to improved mental health.
We believe in the power of listening and being heard. The Mental Health Practitioner will build collaborative and kind relationships where people feel heard and understood, enabling people to access services and navigate routes to support. Referrals are received directly from the Thriving Families Team Manager and the Mental Health Practitioner will offer a range of support to families including 1:1 psycho-social support, community advocacy, making onward referrals, communicating with community, primary and secondary health care and assisting people in addressing practical needs.
Salary: £31,331 p.a.
Contract: Initially for 24 months (extension possible dependent upon funding)
Hours: 35 hours per week
Base: Harpurhey Council District Offices plus, Manchester Mind office at the Zion Centre Hulme and Home/Community work

Remuneration This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of £44,500 (pro rata for a part time position). The HAMRAH Initiative is designed to address the significant challenges faced by Afghan civil society organisations (CSOs) forced into exile, particularly women-led organisations, as they continue to provide protection for vulnerable groups within Afghanistan. Through sustained technical support and resources, HAMRAH aims to build a stronger Afghan civil society equipped with essential organisational infrastructure, leadership skills, and collaborative networks to preserve hard-won gains and advance rights and protections for vulnerable groups.

Overview
The Senior Programme Officer - Development & Advocacy will play a vital role in advancing the HAMRAH initiative and strengthening the resilience of cohort organisations through fundraising, research, joint policy advocacy, communication, and capacity development. This position requires a dynamic and caring professional with experience working with Global South CSOs, as well as the passion and empathy to drive strategic initiatives, build partnerships, and amplify programmatic impact. In this role, you will collaborate closely with HAMRAH's partner cohort organisations (10 CSOs in exile), mentors, the advisory board, and other key stakeholders. The right post holder will be comfortable responding to the needs of a cohort of organisations whose priorities may change, which can lead to working in ways that require flexibility. There will be opportunities to explore, discuss and debate new ideas and consider how the latest research could benefit the cohort of organisations.

Job Description
Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Monitor funding trends and donor priorities to develop tailored and compelling proposals.
Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development. Help facilitate policy dialogue and engagement with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and civil society networks, to advance the priorities of HAMRAH and its cohort organisations.
Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform programme strategies, advocacy efforts, and policy development. This includes helping produce briefing papers, reports, and articles with clear recommendations based on HAMRAH’s work and evidence. Also monitor emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in Afghanistan and other exiled communities across Global South to ensure programming remains responsive, relevant and impactful.
Communication and Reporting: Lead the development of newsletters and other digital communication materials to showcase HAMRAH’s achievements and cohort organisations’ work. If needed and approved by cohort, coordinate digital engagement strategies, including website updates and social media campaigns, to enhance HAMRAH visibility and outreach. Lead the drafting of narrative and financial reports to donors.
Capacity Development: support assessment of capacity-building needs of cohort organisations and develop tailored training plans to address identified gaps. When needed, provide technical support to cohort organisations to strengthen their operational and programmatic capacities.
Learning and Exchange: Support the planning and execution of online and in-person cross-learning exchange workshops with partner organisations in the Global South. Facilitate opportunities for collaboration and collective learning, and help establish global solidarity networks, platforms, and resources to enhance knowledge-sharing among cohort organisations.

Required

At least 5 years of experience in programme support across fundraising, joint advocacy, partnership, research and capacity development, particularly in the non-profit or international development sectors.

Essential

Job Purpose
The Programme Coordinator post is an exciting role with Tutor Trust. You will assist the Programme Manager by liaising with local schools and organising tuition within the Manchester area. This will include attending meetings, coordinating tuition sessions and arranging tutor cover.
