The Role of Website Designer
We are seeking a talented Web Designer to work on two key projects over a 4.5-month contract period:
1. DBF Project: This involves implementing a full website remap, refresh and improvement to the current UX and design. The planning phase is complete, and the design process will be based on the existing platform/provider.
2. TFC Project: This will focus on creating a new website on a new platform, replacing the current site. There will also be a requirement for content management and integration.
This is a short-term post with the opportunity to work on impactful projects for dynamic organizations. If you have a keen eye for design, platform versatility, and experience in website creation and improvement, we’d love to hear from you!
The main responsibilities of the Website Designer are:
- Refresh the Diocesan Board of Finance’s website to improved clarity and user experience.
- Work within the existing website platform and in collaboration with the platform developers, Church Edit, who are funded and supported by a consortium of 20 Diocese.
- Liaise with organisational department leads to ensure content is accurate and up to date.
- Work with the Communications team to improve the current website’s overall functionality and design.
- Redesign Together for Change website and ensure the website content is accurate and up to date to outline the charity’s projects and keys areas of focus.
- Demonstrate through an updated online presence, Together for Change’s key partnerships
- Update Together for Change’s social media presence and ensure to align with updated website content, the DBF’s website and the charity’s ‘Saints Projects’ online presence.
What we are looking for in a Website Designer:
- Experience in website creation and upgrades to improve website functionality and design.
- Experience of engaging with a variety of audiences through social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X.
- Experience of implementing a new site map.
- A creative and proactive mindset, with a key eye for design and an ability to think innovatively across a number of platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal skills to liaise with relevant teams and department heads, platform developers.
- Excellent written and communication skills to engage with a variety of audiences through online platforms and media content.
- Ability to work on own initiative but also as part of a team.

Duties and key responsibilities
1. Trusts and Foundations
- Act as the main point of contact for trusts and foundations supporting gifts under £10,000, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support, materials, and updates to foster successful grant applications and long-term relationships.
- Identify and research new trusts and foundations whose funding priorities align with Sarcoma UK’s mission.
- Plan and coordinate the schedule of grant applications aligning with internal priorities and submission deadlines.
- Draft compelling grant applications, ensuring high-quality submissions, and coordinate the process of application tracking and reporting.
- Maintain the existing pipeline of trust fundraising activities in Raiser's Edge, monitoring progress and ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with new and existing trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy.
- Work with the Research, Policy, and Support Services teams to arrange meetings between trust representatives and Sarcoma UK funded project leads, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure that trust and foundation-related web pages are up-to-date and engaging.
2. Fundraising Support
Merchandise
- Manage stock by overseeing merchandise stock levels, liaising with suppliers, processing orders, and ensuring smooth fulfilment of orders.
- Manage Sarcoma UK’s online shop, ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support across all fundraising activities and projects as needed by the organisation.
- Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.
- Monitor, evaluate and analyse fundraising activities, providing insights to inform future strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on Sarcoma UK’s fundraising database (Raiser's Edge).
Supporter Care
- Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising inquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support and guidance to donors and fundraisers.
General Fundraising Support
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to identify new prospects within Sarcoma UK’s supporter community.
- Work with the Communications team to identify and maximise publicity opportunities, raising awareness of Sarcoma UK’s fundraising efforts.
- Provide occasional support for Major Donor fundraising activities as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest fundraising practices and trends ensuring Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures align with best practices.
3. Other Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Sarcoma UK’s existing and potential supporters, including contacts within trusts and foundations.
- The role may require occasional travel to events and meetings across the UK, including some evening or weekend work, for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of Sarcoma UK, taking on additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What the job involves
We’re seeking a Digital Channels Officer to join our Web Operations Team covering maternity leave on a fixed term basis.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in managing content for our website, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and impactful. You’ll be responsible for publishing digital updates via the content management system (CMS) to ensure timely, high-quality, and consistent content across the website. Working closely with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK, you’ll provide guidance on our online presence and help deliver engaging digital experiences for all our audiences.
Your day-to-day will include editing, proofreading, and publishing content that resonates with our audience. You’ll also help train internal teams on our content management system.
Collaborating with our Web Operations Team, you’ll spot opportunities for improvement and contribute to larger projects, helping us continually improve our site and deliver results more efficiently.
What we want from you
We’re looking for someone with solid experience in writing, editing, and proofreading web content who is comfortable authoring basic HTML and preparing web images with accessibility requirements in mind. You'll be skilled in using content management systems (ideally Umbraco) to build and update web pages.
You’ll need the technical skills to author and edit basic HTML, as well as prepare and edit images for the web. A solid working knowledge of interpreting website analytics, including experience with Google Analytics and search engine optimisation techniques, is essential. You’ll be an excellent communicator, skilled at explaining complex analytics and technical details in a clear, approachable way for non-technical colleagues.
In this role, you’ll also need the ability to prioritise tasks and handle tight deadlines, negotiate effectively, and manage challenging conversations when needed. Experience with online community moderation and staying informed on current web tools and trends will be advantageous as we continuously improve our site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Marketing Strategy

- Content Creation & Management:
- Create and distribute engaging content for charity projects and promotional materials across various channels, including social media, email, newsletters, website, press releases and marketing materials ensuring alignment with brand values and organisational goals.
- Attend project visits with the projects team to help create story content.
- Lead on content scheduling and publishing, ensuring messages are timely and relevant.
- Create and maintain a content calendar that supports key campaigns, events, and organisational priorities.
- Data Analysis, Reporting & Trend Monitoring
- Monitor and analyse digital engagement metrics (social media, website traffic, email open rates, etc.) to assess campaign effectiveness and refine strategies.
- Prepare regular reports for CE and board of trustees highlighting successes, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends, supporter engagement best practices, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Formal qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, or qualified by experience.
