Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for people? Urban Youth is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Lead to join our team as a volunteer. In this pivotal role, you will help lay the foundation for our future by ensuring we are ready to employ staff and build a strong, supportive workplace culture that empowers our mission of transforming young lives across London.

In this role, you will:

• Develop HR Policies and Procedures, by creating essential HR policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with employment laws and best practices.

• Prepare for Recruitment, by designing and implementing a recruitment process that aligns with Urban Youth’s values and ensures we attract the right talent for our team.

• Lay the Foundation for Onboarding, by establishing a welcoming and efficient onboarding process to ensure future employees are set up for success.

• Advise on Employment Readiness, by providing guidance on employee contracts, benefits, and organisational structure to support Urban Youth as we transition to employing staff.

• Promote a Positive Workplace Culture, by helping define and foster an inclusive, collaborative, and empowering work environment for both staff and volunteers.

• Collaborate with Leadership, by workinf closely with our leadership team to align HR strategies with our organisational goals and mission.
