Treasurer/Trustee preferably with charity experience

We need a Treasurer/Trustee to support the Board of Trustees in achieving on-going Good Governance of of an unincorporated charity transitioning into a CIO 

What will you be doing?

The new Trustee/Treasurer is needed to give advice on the Society’s strategic plans at a time of increased uncertainty about the level of support for our national activities.

In past years the Society has held very successful annual events but now, due to uncertainty about the current and future level of support for these events - organised by ambitious, experienced volunteers.  Consequently the board members now need support and guidance to ensure confidence in the financial viability of on-going plans and to ensure that funds are properly managed.

What are we looking for?

Experience in accounts preferably with awareness of charitable governance, analysis and evaluation skills, ability to communicate and explain financial information, people handling and leadership skills

What difference will you make?

A sympathetic, knowledgeable and reliable professional will give the inexperienced trustees confidence to make informed decisions on the financial governance of the society and the reassurance that efficient oversight is in place.
