Local Group Membership Officer (Exeter & District)

RSPB Exeter & District Local Group plays a vital role supporting the RSPB locally through a mixture of inspiring talks, guided walks, trips, and other events. This volunteer-led group has been active for almost 50 years, bringing together friendly and like-minded nature enthusiasts and providing opportunities to learn about birds and wildlife. We are looking for someone to become part of the group as the Membership Secretary. This role is a key committee post which helps ensure the smooth running of the group. Your main duties will involve managing the annual subscription renewal process. This includes distributing membership forms via mail and email, collecting completed forms, and working with the Treasurer to reconcile membership forms with bank payments. You will be required to keep accurate records of the local group members, in line with data protection regulations. Additionally, you'll use information from the membership database to coordinate the distribution of newsletters and occasional mailings to group members, by post and e-mail.
