Hope Valley Climate Action (HVCA) is based in the Peak District and aims to combat climate change by raising public awarness, taking local action through practical projects and advocating for policy policy change. We have received external funding for major renewable energy and sustainable travel projects. Our action groups focus on: Energy, Travel & Transport, and Land. We have an experienced board of Trustees, with an ambitious strategy and innovative projects underway, and are seeking to appoint a new Trustee/Chair to join the team and lead our next phase.
The role: Trustee / Chair
As Chair of Trustees, you will play a crucial role in steering our mission forward and ensuring effective governance and leadership within HVCA. The Chair will work closely with the Board of Trustees, volunteers, and other key stakeholders to oversee the charity’s strategy, governance, and accountability. We are a warm, friendly and experienced group - open to discussions around how the role can be managed and offering flexibility, including potential role-share.
You will ideally live, work, or be familiar with the Hope Valley and able to attend meetings in person peridically (most work is done remotely).
Want to find out more? Our existing Chair's term will end in April 2024. Jeremy would be happy to speak with you if you're interested in this role and answer any questions.

Closing date: midnight 15th December 2024
