This is a new role in the organisation and reflects an urgent requirement to collate, organise and manage a large volume of research, survey and other data collected by Freshwater Habitats Trust over the last four decades, the potential of which is not currently being fully realised.
It is critical that through the development of an organisational data strategy we can:
· Provide evidence of our research and advocacy.
· Showcase Freshwater Habitats Trust’s expertise.
· Facilitate effective teamwork within and between project and organisational teams.
· Enable efficient project delivery and public / partner engagement.
· Guide the strategic delivery of conservation projects through Important Freshwater Area analysis mapping and reporting.
The role will work closely with the strategic Research and Data Sub-Group of the Senior Management Team who are responsible for driving this work forwards.

Cleanup Champions work closely with Cleanup Hubs and other partner organisations to encourage more people to get involved in litter picking locally.
We are keen to find cheerful people, with a sense of fun, who care about the environment and enjoy chatting to people of all backgrounds.
Main Purpose of the Role:

To increase the number of people borrowing litter picking equipment from the Cleanup Hubs in your local area.

To represent CleanupUK at a local level by attending litter picking events and supporting the development of the Cleanup Hub network.

To develop strong relationships with partner organisations in the community:

Supporting existing Cleanup Hubs to increase levels of engagement in their area by contacting new groups.

Key Tasks include:

Liaising with Cleanup Hubs and local communities.

Helping to keep active records of the litter picking that is taking place. This includes: ensuring litter picking statistics are being logged online by hubs, taking photos for our social media channels, and making notes on our shared database.

About the role:

The ability to support people with adverse lived experiences in a grounded manner and be able to provide support within professional boundaries is very important. Giving and receiving feedback, gathering data and other evidence to inform service development, and exercising reflective practice are all essential attributes.
The role is home-based, and you will be provided with all office equipment and a travel budget as needed. In order to manage your time and travel effectively you will need to be comfortable forming and developing relationships online, attending and hosting meetings via zoom or MS Teams (this is both business meetings with partner organisations and mutual aid recovery meetings). You will be required to conduct national travel and occasional overnight stays, visiting SMART meetings and facilitators in your area delivering a package of support to facilitators and our partners, helping the charity to grow by helping to generate new business. There are also team development residental trips away with the SMART team every year.
In addition, you will contribute to the global development of SMART Recovery via veteran orientated projects identified by SMART Recovery International. It is essential that you can travel and work flexibly to meet the needs of the role.

We are seeking to recruit a passionate and hardworking new Marketing and Communications Executive, to oversee our communications strategy and help develop the organisation during an exciting period of growth.

This is a 16 hour a week role which would be perfect for someone looking for a flexible job that makes a big social justice impact. This would suit someone with family responsibilities or who is studying a part time masters course for example, who needs a job role that fits in around their other commitments. You could work it full time over two days or part time over 3, 4 or 5 days a week.
You will be joining a wonderful team in the UK and Uganda. We currently have two paid staff (based in London and Bournemouth) and a variety of volunteers in the UK, plus a team of 26 staff in Uganda. Job Purpose
- To design and deliver our communications plan, to a high standard.

- To support volunteers of a wide variety of skill sets to help S.A.L.V.E. to better achieve our aims and objectives in a variety of roles.

Key Activities

- Design and deliver the communication plan of the organisation. This will include administration of:

- Regular comms with new donors and regular givers

- Supporting the CEO on a variety of projects at different times in the year (eg. working on our annual report, preparing papers for board meetings, preparing assets for a supporter event etc.)
- Supporting the Development Manager with fundraising bids, including design work and proof reading.
- Managing communications volunteers in the UK to help to build the capacity of the organisation.
- Supporting with general organisational admin, as required.
- Working with the S.A.L.V.E. team to deliver on our strategic plan. Contribute to its review and improvements over time to maximise the organisation’s impact with our service users through regular evaluation and learning reviews where required.

We are looking for a warm and self-motivated Engagement Officer to lead community and volunteer engagement, and manage our social media platforms at SOFT UK. In this position, you will engage with the existing SOFT UK community, strengthening and deepening this relationship. You will also build new relationships, thus building our community. The Support Organisation for Trisomy 13 and 18 UK (“SOFT UK”) is a not for profit charitable organisation structured as a charitable trust for the purposes of providing organisational support to those with first-hand experience of Trisomy 13/18 and other related disorders. The Board of Trustees (“the Board”) comprises the legal directors of the Trust.
Main Responsibilities of the post
The Engagement Officer is responsible to the Charity Director for the management of engagement on behalf of SOFT UK, ensuring we are seen as professional, yet warm and welcoming to our service users.
In this role you will manage and maintain our social media strategy with support from our Communications Officer, seeking out new ways to communicate with our community.
These activities include, but are not confined to:
- Strengthening our relationship with current SOFT UK supporters, including families, fundraisers, and charity partners.

People living with Parkinson's need to have their voice heard in Northern Ireland to ensure their health and care needs are met. Following an investment in our services, support and work with the NHS, we are also expanding our campaigning and policy work across Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.
We’re looking for someone special with experience of campaigning, including an understanding of its basic tools and techniques, experience of interpreting complex policy issues for a public audience, and knowledge of the Northern Irish political and public policy landscape.

You’ll support our national and local campaigning work across Northern Ireland to improve the lives of people with Parkinson’s and those closest to them. You’ll work with our community to raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson’s with decision makers at a local and national level. - Be a first point of contact for campaigners in Northern Ireland, who want to improve services in their local area, and recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers specific to Northern Ireland.
- Support the work of the Policy and Campaigns Manager to understand and influence UK wide and specific NI legislation, policy and practice relating to our communities and their needs
- Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaigners on how best to influence decision makers in Northern Ireland.
- Use our UK-wide campaign priorities to deliver national and local campaign activity, and coordinate campaigns with other charities and organisations, where appropriate to further our goals.
