The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is a civil society alliance of over 180 members in 41 countries, committed to breaking the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realising everyone’s right to a nationality. At the heart of our work lies the understanding that stateless people and their communities should be leaders of change.

The Head of Operations and Development will work as part of the Senior Management Team, which includes the Director and the Head of Policy & Advocacy, to ensure ENS's continued success and growth.  The role demands a high level of aptitude, leadership, flexibility, initiative, and commitment.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and developing ENS's strategic and operational planning, monitoring implementation, financial management, fundraising, and organisational development. They will contribute to the management and sustainable growth of ENS by ensuring that efficient systems and procedures are in place. They will oversee financial management, working closely with the Finance Manager, and will manage our HR function, helping to foster a positive organisational culture aligned with our values.

Collaborating with the Director and Head of Policy & Advocacy, the successful candidate will also work to diversify income streams and build strategic partnerships to support our growth and ensure that we fulfil our strategic objectives. They will implement robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes to measure and enhance our impact. The role involves coordinating pan-regional projects and events that engage our members across Europe.

The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience in a senior operations role, preferably within the non-profit sector. They will have a proven track record in financial management, fundraising/development and operational excellence. Strong leadership skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to human rights are essential for success in this role. Given the wide-ranging nature of the role, we are open to candidates who have relatively less experience in a certain area provided they can deliver in the role and clearly demonstrate their aptitude to develop any skills as necessary.

The candidate will be contributing positively to our dynamic organisational ethos and cross-team working where all ideas are valued, and innovation is encouraged. They will be able to fit well into a fast-paced and demanding environment with an international focus.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and play a vital role within the Fundraising team at MHA. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the individual giving programme in line with the wider strategic objectives.

To do this you will manage the direct mail appeals and online campaigns, coordinate the regular giving programme, develop the strategy for the acquisition of new supporters and retention of existing ones, and produce the twice-yearly supporter newsletter. You would also provide additional support for the legacy programme when required.

We are looking for a passionate and creative individual giving fundraiser or marketeer to develop and drive forward the programme. You will have a track record of delivering against income targets and KPIs, and be experienced in delivering campaigns and activities on time and within budget.

With excellent writing and communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

About the role:

The European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) was established in 2000 and is a not-for-profit speciality college that oversees the training, examination and completion/maintenance of credential requirements of veterinarians who are equine internal medicine specialists, referred to as ECEIM Diplomates. Currently the college is run by a team of dedicated trustees and are eager to take the next step and create capacity for growth.

This is a brand new role and in which you will have the opportunity to shape and develop what a successful Chief Operating Officer looks like for this exciting and far reaching college. Your role will be to enable ECEIM to operate more effectively in order to facilitate the College’s growth, working with the board members to understand their vision, and work to enhance, develop and support on existing  key processes and procedures that help the college to run effectively. This role will ultimately support ECEIM’s mission and key objectives to advance equine internal medicine in Europe and increase the competency of those who practice in this field.

Whilst this role has an exciting future focus, a key part of your remit will be to oversee the day-to-day running of the college and help ensure everything is working well, keeping abreast of important deadlines such as key governance and compliance or liaising with external partner firms to ensure that they deliver key events on ECEIM’s behalf.

While much of your role may be administrative or operational in nature at first, there is also great scope to input into the colleges longer term strategic direction, all of which is leading to sustainable growth and increasing the impact of what ECEIM have set out to do.

About you:

You’ll bring both a practical and solutions based mindset as well as the ability to see the bigger picture in order to facilitate ECEIM’s longer term strategy. As this is a brand new role you will need to feel confident in the listening and learning phase as well as being able to see the improvements, recommend developments and create any next steps needed to support the ECEIM board and ultimately get the role off the ground.

You  will have the chance to utilise your experience in both big picture thinking, as well as your ability to design and develop processes and ways of working that will help ECEIM to take the next steps.

Using your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills you’ll be able to foster positive relationships with volunteers, members and other professional bodies, including working directly with  ECEIM’s key committees, helping them stay connected, informed and working as best as they can.

You will also bring a strong financial awareness and both ‘know how’ to action financial processes, working with the treasurer, but also to be able to spot when specialist skills may be needed to support you. Experience with data analysis and reporting is essential.

Whilst it is advantageous for you to have held a similar role before, a background in project or programme management, leading a department, operations management or financial management could bring the blend of key skills that will help you be successful in this role.

An understanding of academia and the importance of professionalism, credentials and high level qualifications is helpful and while an understanding the importance of ECEIM’s mission and animal welfare is essential, you don't need to have necessarily had any experience in the animal welfare sector.

What we can offer you:

Salary: circa £30,000 to £32,000 per annum, actual (circa £56,000 to £60,000 FTE). This would be reviewed on an annual basis.

Location: Remote role, working from home. UK based.

Hours of work: Your contracted hours are 20 hours per week. Exact working pattern can be discussed with the successful candidate. With a role at this level you may be expected to be flexible with that pattern at times, and as ECEIM’s remit is across Europe and beyond, you may also have the opportunity to travel with the role.

Pension: ECEIM will provide a pension contribution of 3% of salary; the employee will contribute a minimum of 5% of salary.

Holiday: 28 days annual leave FTE pro rata, so 15 days for 20 hours per week; plus Bank Holidays.

Probation: The role is subject to a 6 months’ probationary period.

About ECEIM

The European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) is a not-for-profit speciality college that oversees the training, examination and completion/maintenance of credential requirements of veterinarians who are equine internal medicine specialists.

The ECEIM was established in 2000 and in 2010 became a fully recognised member of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS), a regulatory Board of all European veterinary specialty colleges. As a recognised EBVS specialist in equine internal medicine serves the veterinary patient, its owner and the public by providing expert care for horses, ponies, donkeys, mules and other Equidae with medical diseases. Furthermore, an ECEIM Diplomate aims to increase the competency of those who practice in this field through training and dissemination of knowledge.

The ECEIM aims to encourage research and other contributions to the advancement of knowledge in this area and to assist this, arranges an annual international meeting where the latest research focusing on equine internal medicine is presented and new developments in this field shared with colleagues. The ECEIM actively works to help establish approved training programmes throughout Europe through  structured training programme.

We are looking for a highly-organised and efficient individual with excellent diary management skills and the ability to communicate confidently across all levels of seniority, both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be confident in meeting corporate clients, handling logistics for event bookings and will ideally have experience of using a CRM, such as Tessitura.

Our candidate should also be confident in identifying new business prospects and engaging potential clients either in-person, via email or over the phone. MS Office proficiency is required, as are excellent communication skills across all mediums, and an ability to work as part of a team or independently, using your initiative.

Key responsibilities as our Senior Media Relations Officer: 

• Lead, deliver and evaluate media relations strategies to support integrated proactive campaigns that develop the Scout brand and reflect our values
• Provide a high standard of service to media professionals to maintain Scouts reputation and credibility, ensuring journalists receive timely and accurate information, and advising junior media team colleagues on media enquiry handling
• Pitch positive news stories and secure media coverage that support the Scout brand
• Support the PR response to incidents with the potential for reputational risk, including on social media

What we are looking for in our Senior Media Relations Officer: 

• You are an experienced Media Relations professional able to monitor the daily news agenda for opportunities to proactively place stories about Scouts' work with young people and adults.

• We are looking for an organised and motivated individual with good communication and collaboration skills. 

• Working with media outlets and volunteers involves working out of office hours and flexibility is essential for this role.

• Working calmly in pressured situations with the potential for reputational risk, working with senior colleagues.

We are looking for a dedicated Engagement Officer for Healthwatch Stockport. Could this be you?

You will be working within the passionate team at Healthwatch Stockport to effectively engage with local people, communities who have a lived or living experience of serious mental illness and of using mental health services in Stockport.

You will be a point of contact for individuals and voluntary and community groups, to share experience, to develop meaningful communication methods and feedback the impact of their voice and involvement. You will facilitate co-production and develop approaches to support individuals and groups to be involved and engaged as partners in the development and co-design of mental health support and living well across Stockport.

Planning, Development and Communication

You will • Develop, oversee, and implement the Living Well Expert by Experience workstream plan in partnership with people who have lived experience in using mental health services.

• Promote the aims and objectives of the workstream of throughout Stockport with service users, potential users of the services and services themselves.

• Co-ordinate and undertake research and report writing activity as required. Completing reports within agreed timescales and presenting and tailoring them to a variety of stakeholders.

• Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings, working groups and other forums in relation to the workstream. Taking briefing notes, minutes and developing promotional materials as appropriate with people who use local services.

• Communicate effectively with the public and the community about activities – including meeting the specific communication needs of people from the range of target stakeholders.

• Liaise with a range of key partners across the statutory and voluntary sector to ensure the voice of people with serious mental illness lived experience has influence and has the opportunity to be included in the planning, development and all discussions regarding community mental health care provision so that services are truly codesigned.

• Participate in Healthwatch Stockport and other voluntary sector activity as required in relation to this workstream.

• Keep accurate records of all work undertaken

Relationships

Create, establish, and build on existing links with networks of people and groups with lived experience, and from a diversity of backgrounds across Stockport: [Neighbourhoods/Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and within the wider Living Well Programme]. This will include:

Position: Fundraising Manager

Reports to: Head of Marketing and Communications

Location: Hybrid - a mix of on site (we have 2 sites in Aylesbury) and working from home

Hours: 38 hours per week - open to discussion about compressed week, flexible working. Core hours are 10am-3pm

Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum

Annual leave: 25 days plus bank holidays, increases with length of service

What you will be working on:

• You'll create, organise and deliver 2 mass participation events each year using your event experience and research to engage and encourage people to get involved and take part, raising the profile of Pace in the community
• You'll develop a programme to grow your volunteer base to help staff your events, communicating with them to keep them engaged and motivated
• You'll nurture the current corporate partners and look for opportunities to increase the fundraising activity of their staff and partners and supporters through your events and organising and helping create fundraising events for them

• You'll be creating a stewardship programme for all 3 areas to update them with news and opportunities to get involved

telephone and webchat support service covering England and Wales. This role is focussed on supporting

Part Time – Race and Community Engagement Officer

Kingston Race and Equalities Council’s (KREC) is an independent Charity which works towards the elimination of racial discrimination and associated inequalities; promotes equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different racial groups; addresses the Human Rights and needs of all communities

Kingston Race and Equalities Council (KREC) are working in partnership with South West London Health and Care Partners to develop an Anti-Racist approach across South West London. KREC is working on engagement with community and voluntary organisations to make sure our approach is co-designed with local people and communities, ensuring it resonates and that initiatives have meaningful impact. 

One of the ways KREC plans to do this work is to identify and work with a number of community and voluntary organisations to help determine what issues communities consider should be tackled to help address Racism in SW London. 

About the role

If you are energetic and passionate about Race and Community Engagement then this is an exciting opportunity for you. KREC is seeking to recruit a part time Officer to work within South West London to help develop an Anti-Racist approach. This is an opportunity to be in the centre of change for communities in SW London, at the same time developing a new approach to reduce race discrimination and inequality in health services. The role will manage a grants programme and work in partnership with those organisations funded to gain valuable insight in developing our approach across South West London.
