We’re looking for a Communications and Digital Officer with a creative eye, keen attention to detail and experience of crafting engaging copy.
You’ll have your finger on the algorithms and analytics pulse in order to improve performance of our communications and improve our supporters’ digital experience with us. Confidence in working within an email platform (preferably Mailchimp) is desirable and experience of and ideas for developing creative and innovative content for websites and social media channels is a key part of the role.
We’re looking for someone with experience of running social media in a professional environment and who’s at home in both the print and digital world. A motivated communications professional with a passion for the natural world, no two days will be the same as you get involved in developing user journeys for digital audiences including designing, testing and delivery, creating content for online and offline, writing press releases and updating our website.

About the role:
We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated individual to join us as a Specialist Multiple Disadvantage Worker (SMDW). This is an incredible opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of individuals who have experienced severe and multiple disadvantages, helping them transition from rough sleeping into supported accommodation and a brighter future. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll lead efforts to ensure that clients, often facing significant barriers to engagement, are introduced to vital health and social care services in a psychologically informed way.
Your role will involve managing a small caseload of clients with a complex and entrenched history of rough sleeping. You’ll build strong, trusting relationships with these clients, many of whom have faced challenges in accessing services, and help them engage with external services that are essential to their recovery. By leading assessments, managing multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and overseeing safeguarding and in-reach clinics, you will ensure that each client receives the best possible support. Additionally, you’ll work closely with Project Workers, offering guidance and advice on housing and support tools, ensuring that the team is empowered with the knowledge to help clients achieve lasting change.
As a key member of the team, you’ll collaborate with a wide network of professionals, from substance misuse workers to occupational therapists, nurses, and GPs. The Role
As an Event Manager, you will oversee a range of small to medium events, while supporting on large-scale, high-profile commercial events across The Royal Parks.

Horatio’s Garden is a nationwide charity creating and nurturing beautifully designed gardens in NHS spinal injury centres. We are seeking a friendly, organised and energetic person with a warm and welcoming manner for the new role of Garden Coordinator.
The Garden Coordinator will join a team of several other dedicated staff across the charity’s existing projects. You will work closely with the Head Gardener, Arts Programme Manager and a team of volunteers to nurture the beautiful garden for people with spinal injuries and their visitors.
You will be responsible for the administration of the garden and coordination of the large group of volunteers. With the Head Gardener you will also arrange seasonal events for patients, their friends and family throughout the year.
Supported by the central Arts Programme Manager you will also be responsible for organising and running a range of social and creative activities for people with spinal injuries and their families and friends to enjoy creating an uplifting, friendly atmosphere in Horatio’s Garden and garden room. These sessions will need to be held on a weekend afternoon which is a critical time in the garden when most patients are available and often have friends and family to visit.
Currently the Arts programme includes crafts, quizzes, seasonal celebrations with lunches, in addition sessional creative experts also deliver glass fusing workshops, felting, printing, talks, painting, ceramic workshop live music performances,
You will need to be a highly organised person with great IT skills and a proactive can-do attitude. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a team in the garden.

About the role
In 2023, Sightsavers partnered with the Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Zimbabwe (FODPZ), the National Association of Societies for the Care of the Handicapped (NASCOH), Deaf Women Included (DWI) and the Ministry of Public Service, Labour, and Social Welfare, to launch an Economic Empowerment Project for Persons with Disabilities. This is a three-year project implemented in Harare and Bulawayo provinces, with a project end date of December 2025.
The purpose of this consultancy position is to support and coordinate Economic Empowerment (EE) project activities from 01 June up to 30 September 2025. The consultant will support the Economic Empowerment project to manage activities and relationships with key stakeholders. As the post holder you will ensure that the project is planned, implemented, coordinated, monitored, evaluated, and adapted to the highest possible quality standards.
Further duties and responsibilities include:
Project Delivery

Work with the country project management team and other funding / resources partner to coordinate implementation of activities and sharing of lessons learned.

Manage all aspects of the project cycle with the partners including effective planning, start-up, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, financial and asset management, reporting, documentation and closeout.

Skills and Experience
As the successful candidate you will have a tertiary qualification (bachelor’s or above) in social sciences, education, development studies, or public health or equivalent, relevant and transferable working experience. At our North West London Home, we are recruiting an interim Head of Cattery who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to provide front line leadership to our team of Cattery and Animal Care staff and volunteers. We care for up to eight cats and kittens on site, in addition to cats placed into foster homes. Our Head of Cattery is responsible for managing the day-to-day smooth running of our cattery and maintaining the wellbeing of all cats in our care, so that their individual physical and psychological needs are catered for adequately, and in line with our standards and ethics.
This is a high profile and hugely important role for Mayhew as our Head of Cattery oversees each cat’s journey through Mayhew from in-take to assessment and then to rehoming. Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, foster carers, adopters, other charities and rescues and members of the public, our Head of Cattery is instrumental in ensuring that our cats have all they need – from feeding, cleaning, enrichment and socialising to finding their perfect forever home. About this job
This role will coordinate our Breathing Space project in Wales, which supports unpaid carers who support people living with MS to access short breaks. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced individual who loves working on short-term funded projects and who also loves working directly with the people we support and our volunteers. The ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences and deliver our project objectives will be essential for this role.
Working closely with people affected by MS, Key external partners, the Service and Support Team, the Cymru Director, and the wider MS Society teams. You will be outcome-focused and deliver tangible results. You will need to forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders and represent the MS Society at key meetings and events in the area relating to promoting the project to carers.
This role can be based anywhere in Wales but there will be occasional expectation of travel throughout Wales.
This is a part-time (21 hours) fixed-term role until 28th November 2025 with the possibility of an extension to March 2026.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.

About the Advisory Panel
The Advisory Panel is a meeting of the four Council’s committees (Companies, Education, Registration and Standards) in plenary session. They are established by statute for the purpose of giving advice and assistance to Council (whether or not in response to a request from them) on:
· matters relating to business registrants other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be referred to the Investigation Committee, the Registration Appeals Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee;
· matters relating to optical training, education and assessment;
· matters relating to registration, other than matters required by the Opticians Act to be considered by the Registration Appeals Committee; and
· matters relating to the standards of conduct and performance expected of registrants or those seeking admission to the register.

Remuneration and time commitment
A daily fee of £319 will be paid. This is in line with our member fees policy and member fee schedule. This is taxable and subject to Class 1 National Insurance (NI) contributions. It is not pensionable.
Members can claim expenses for travel and subsistence costs incurred on Council business as set out in our expenses policy.
This role is part time with a commitment of approximately 2-3 days per year, including time spent preparing for meetings. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices in London or other suitable venues.
