About the role

About the team

Our primary focus is on driving continuous improvements and operational efficiencies, all while upholding a high degree of independence in our reporting, thereby ensuring robust assurance throughout the BHF.
Working requirements
This is a field-based position, working from home with extensive travel across the South East of England. You'll need to live within this area. Regular overnight stays will be required.
The South East Region covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, East Sussex, Essex, Greater London (South), Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Surrey, and West Sussex.

About you
To be successful in this role you'll have:
- proven retail audit experience and/or extensive experience in charity retail, possibly in roles like Shop or Store Manager, Regional Support Manager, or Area Manager
- an entry-level qualification in Internal Auditing or Health & Safety, such as CIA or IOSH or as minimum retail management experience providing a solid foundation for audit-related responsibilities
- in-depth knowledge of shop and store operations, including till operations and financial systems, ideally gained in a charity environment
- experience in conducting compliance, operational, security, and health and safety audits
- experience conducting investigations, collecting evidence, preparing reports, and training and supporting staff to improve performance
- strong personal integrity, able to make independent judgements without external influence, as well as excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, fostering strong relationships with auditees, internal stakeholders, and senior management
- ability to manage time and workload effectively with minimal supervision and be skilled at both collaborative teamwork and leading audits, investigations, and projects

The role
FareShare believes that no good food should go to waste and is currently undertaking an expansion plan that will see us strive ever closer to that vision. As the Deputy Warehouse Manager you will be at the forefront of making this happen. As the Deputy Warehouse Manager you will oversee the warehouse and successfully manage day to day operations, as well as developing and implementing new operational practices, efficiencies and standards to as part of the management team. Food Safety and Health & Safety are at our core. You will be part of a management team responsible for the compliance in these areas, ensuring the safe storage and transport of the food, plus the safety and wellbeing of all RC staff, volunteers and visitors. Inherent within our mission is to ensure no good food goes to waste, so you will use your skills and expertise to minimise waste by working with our partners to ensure when food arrives and leaves the warehouse it is fit for consumption.
Main areas of responsibility
Operations
- Part of a management structure accountable for the day-to-day performance of the warehouse;
- Part of a management structure responsible for the development and management or resource plans to meet fluctuating food volumes, CFM demands, volunteer availability and growth plans;
- Part of a management structure for logistics planning to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective distribution of food to meet CFM needs;
- Analyse performance, food volumes, waste and volunteer requirements against KPI’s and produce reports as required by the East Anglia Regional Manager;
- Manage and provide leadership and support to staff and volunteers in the warehouse;

Background
The Karen Hilltribes Trust (KHT) is a UK registered Charity that has worked in Northern Thailand for the past three decades. Our mission is to partner with Karen communities to improve their health, livelihoods, and access to education. By taking an integrated approach to the complex socio-economic issues at hand, we aim to achieve sustainable change by empowering Karen communities to improve their own lives.
Since 1986, KHT has transformed the health and well-being of over 50,000 people through the provision of clean drinking water, improved sanitation facilities and hygiene education; secured agriculture as a sustainable livelihood for more than 17,000 farmers through the construction of flood-resistant irrigation systems; and increased accessed to education for 17,000 children and young people through school meals, transport and accommodation, and higher education scholarships.
Main Purpose of The Position
The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Thai-Karen team and Director of KHT to secure funding to support the successful operation of the charity and implement projects in KHT’s three key programme areas: Community Health; Sustainable Livelihoods; and Access to Education. The role will be primarily desk based but with opportunities to travel to the field. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for:
• Developing and implementing KHT’s fundraising strategy;
• Applying for grants from foundations, corporations, and individuals;
• Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
• Implementing KHT’s volunteer strategy, ensuring it provides funding to KHT’s projects;

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy with the Director, paying particular attention to increasing unrestricted funding opportunities.
2. Help develop and implement a CSR strategy to better engage corporations.
3. Manage grant applications for our projects to existing and new funders, who may be foundations, corporations, or individual donors.
4. Implement Prospect Research on existing and new potential donors (major gifts, corporates, trusts and foundations, individual donors) and creating solicitation plans, informing the Director on updates and activities implementation;
5. Check and constantly update Donorfy database, in coordination with KHT Director and KHT Finance Administrator;
6. Recruit volunteers to join our projects in Thailand, organically and potentially through partnerships.
7. Keep relationship with KHT Board of Trustees, in order to keep them informed on any useful material and initiatives they may help KHT with.
8. Implement community fundraising activities and organise talks and fundraising events, with the support and help of KHT Trustees and volunteers.
9. Ensure that the organisation communicates regularly with its supporters, creating bespoke messages to increase engagement and donations and supporting social media content.
10. Ensure that the organisation complies with fundraising regulations set by the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, and other relevant bodies.
11. Visit our team in Northern Thailand on an occasional basis (likely once a year) to better understand our work on the ground and support fundraising initiatives.

Person Specification
You’ll likely have:
• Several years of experience in a relevant role fundraising for registered charities.
• Demonstrable success in securing funding through grant applications and by engaging donors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-level written communications in English and adapt writing style for an array of different audiences.

We are looking for a Marketing Coordinator to coordinate the marketing activity of the Students’ Union throughout the year, taking the lead on campaigns and projects such as Varsity, the Leadership Race, Sustainability Conference, International Festival and End of Year Awards, working with 10+ departments across the Union. The Marketing Coordinator will also support, train, and advise these departments and Sabbatical Officers on the development and delivery of effective marketing plans helping the Union to achieve its objectives
This is a full time and fixed term contract role until 31 July 2025. This role is also a hybrid working role, where 40% of the role will be on campus based.

About the role:
RISE is looking for a new Head of Finance to update our finance systems and transform our finance, risk and treasury management functions to help make the best decisions for our women-led charity.
The Head of Finance is responsible for the strategic and operational management of RISE’s finance, treasury and risk management systems. Working as part of RISE’s leadership team the post holder provides organisational leadership and guidance, ensuring consistent operation of effective budgetary controls and high-quality reporting to the CEO and RISE trustees on all aspects of financial reporting, planning, performance, and risk management. The post holder will work closely with RISE treasurer and other trustees as a member of RISE’s Finance and Risk Subgroup of the Board. They manage a small team delivering central services including payroll and bookkeeping, ensuring that RISE is compliant with our duties as a Company and Charity.
Working in a small team you will help to set the strategic direction of the charity, guiding managers to make good financial decisions and safeguarding the organisation with robust financial and risk management policies and procedures.

As Chief Operating Officer, you will manage and develop the diverse business operations of the Trust.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the delivery of the ten-year plan, most significantly, a multi-year project to re-establish a new visitor centre.

You must be confident, resilient and energetic, with proven ability to lead and engage staff and volunteers, helping them achieve their objectives. The 2026 Centenary is a significant milestone in CPRE’s history. This critical role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of the campaign. The postholder will be responsible for developing and managing the Centenary project management plan and engaging key stakeholders, including trustees, volunteers and supporters, internally and externally throughout the organisation, nationally and locally; monitoring objectives; and identifying and mitigating any associated risks.
With exceptional relationship building skills, you will support delivery of the Centenary Appeal, working closely with fundraising teams, and ensure our HNWI donors, key funders and volunteers are stewarded appropriately. Job Summary:
The Head of Finance and Property (HFP) will be responsible for overseeing and directing the financial activities of the charity and its trading subsidiary, and property. This role includes financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting.
