Flint House Police Rehabilitation is a registered Charity offering rehabilitation services to ill or injured serving and retired police officers suffering from a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions. Every year we treat over 3,000 police officers. Located just outside Goring on Thames and set in 20 acres of ancient woodland, with extensive facilities based within two buildings at Flint House and Flint Fold.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our team. This newly created role will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and support the Flint House strategic plan and mission.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with individual donors, major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other potential supporters.
- Plan and coordinate fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness of the charity's mission.
- Write compelling grant proposals, solicitation letters, and other fundraising materials to secure funding from foundations and grant-making organisations.
- Work to create effective fundraising campaigns and materials, including digital and print collateral, social media content, and email campaigns.
- Manage donor stewardship and recognition programs to ensure donors feel valued and engaged with the organisation.
- Utilise donor management software / databases to track donor interactions, manage donor information, and analyse fundraising data.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on fundraising activities, goals, and outcomes to the Executive Team and Trustees.
- Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, philanthropy, and non-profit management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Manage a team that supports our donor engagement and communications strategy.
Qualifications and Experience
- Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business administration, marketing, or a related field (master's degree preferred). Membership with the Institute of Fundraising.
- Significant experience in non-profit fundraising, development, or related field, with a proven track record of success in meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts - annual fundraising income of upward of £1 million.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate the charity's mission and impact to diverse audiences.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals, grant proposals, and other donor communications.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in donor management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant fundraising tools and technologies.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices, ethical guidelines, and regulations governing charitable organisations.
- Working knowledge of marketing communications strategy and donor engagement.
- Proven line manager and demonstrated ability to work across all levels within Flint House to support and drive our fundraising efforts.

The Person

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Trusts & Grants fundraiser to join our small, hardworking team.
The role holder will contribute towards achieving our ambitious yearly income target by helping to maintain our well-established Trusts & Grants portfolio, as well as identifying new funding opportunities as we seek to grow and diversify this income stream.

About the Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager role:

What you'll bring as our Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Manager:
Knowledge of the funding sector and the work of the charity, making a credible ambassador for the charity. Understands and implements good funder stewardship practice. Understands the requirements of the fundraising regulator, particularly as it applies to trusts and statutory funding.
Excellent knowledge of trusts and grant givers in the UK, including giving trends. Talented writer, able to craft compelling narratives to showcase our cases for support and our impact. Persuasive interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Highly articulate and numerate. Good analytical skills, including analysing and manipulating data for project reporting. Able to consider patterns and potential and feed into future planning.
Proficient with financial information, including presenting budgets to external audiences. Solution focused, able to work with others to find solutions so that activity can progress.
Substantial (three or more years) proven track record of raising five and six figure gifts from Trusts, Foundations, or public bodies, and demonstrable experience of meeting financial targets. Experience of undertaking prospect research, pipeline management and feeding into future planning. Experience of using Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising databases.

The charity was formed in 1988 and registered in 1989 and has shown that enjoying and learning about the river on board their specially adapted and wheelchair-accessible boats, is an exceptional experience. It brings relaxation, health and personal development benefits unique to the river setting, as shown by their many returning clients who rebook year after year. Their boats are moored at Kingston-upon-Thames, and they operate along the river between Windsor and Putney.
The River Thames Boat Project are now looking for a Fundraising Manager to raise the funds to enable them to run cruises and education days on the Thames.
As Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for growing the charitable income across all streams (grants, foundations, corporate sponsors), maximising members program, establishing a sound data base for fundraising and establishing a volunteer fundraising committee. You will develop and execute a fundraising plan and develop strong relationships with prospective and existing funders. You will research potential trust and foundation funders, write compelling bids and ensure effective reporting and stewardship. You will also be responsible marketing the charity to prospective clients through mailings, social media and other routes.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in raising income for small to medium size charities from multiple sources with a specific focus on trusts and foundations
* Self - motivated and pro-active with great interpersonal skills to work with staff members, volunteers, trustees, and external funders from individual to corporate donors.
* Proven ability to research funders, write compelling bids and manage relationships with funders

Key Responsibilities:
· Identify and maximise opportunities to raise funds from companies, trusts, foundations, and other funding bodies.
· Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective partners from across companies, trusts and foundations.
· Research and maintain an on-going, sustainable pipeline of prospects including new trusts and foundations, companies and industry sectors.
· Plan, prepare and write compelling applications for funding.
· Build effective relationships with funders in order to secure long-term funding and support. Achieve income targets that support the delivery and fundraising goals.
· Keep accurate, relevant, timely records on our CRM and maintain regular communication with relevant teams including operations, finance, marketing and fundraising teams.
· Create inspiring reports and updates for funders that bring to life the impact of their support and demonstrate first class stewardship.
· Where appropriate, attend events to meet funders and/or promote EDT.
· Work closely with relevant teams to embed monitoring and evaluation throughout the funding process. Report on progress, results and income in a timely manner.
· Work with the Fundraising Manager with analysing trends to support the fundraising strategy.
Competencies and Attributes:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organisation skills - can manage workload and deadlines and proactively work to achieve timely delivery.
· Experience of securing funding from grant makers and/or companies.
· Experience of planning, preparing and writing high quality bids, funding applications and reports.
· Knowledge of managing funders' relationships. Knowledge of databases/data management, including producing reports.
· A strong team player, who can communicate effectively and engage colleagues at all levels and develop strong and productive relationships.
· Attention to detail and IT proficiency.
· Understanding of applicable legislation.
· A knowledge of the not for profit/charity sector.
· The ability to travel to locations across the UK on occasions to meet colleagues, funders and partners.
The successful candidate will be required to fulfil an enhanced DBS/PVG check.

We are currently seeking a Grants and Trusts Fundraiser as part of the recently agreed investment in fundraising to help us to deliver our strategic and operational ambitions in line with our three-year plan.
The Trusts & Grants Fundraiser reports into the Head of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications and is responsible for developing our trust fundraising capability, investigating, researching and making approaches for new funding. You will use your excellent communication skills to develop our case for support and to complete impactful and professional applications.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of raising income from trusts, foundations and major grants (ideally within a hospice or healthcare context) together with excellent research, analytical, communication and relationship development skills. You will also be comfortable with working in a small team and with taking initiative and responsibility.
During the first 6 months, the successful candidate will be expected to establish themselves in the new role and develop our trust fundraising strategy with some early income generation. Post this establishment period an annual fundraising target will be proposed and agreed in line with our three-year income generation plan.
We are looking for someone with great interpersonal and negotiation skills with a positive, creative and proactive approach. As well as excellent IT skills, you will need to be self-motivated and comfortable working to financial targets.
