The role leads the delivery of our social media strategy and supports our Creative Content Lead to deliver Drinkaware’s multimedia content strategy. Drinkaware is the UK’s leading alcohol charity with a vision of ‘Working together to reduce alcohol harm across the UK’. We use our expertise to give government, industry, communities and individuals the knowledge and support to make informed decisions about alcohol and how to reduce the harm it can cause. We deliver public-facing campaigns and digital services, information and guidance, evidence-led advice to governments and industry, and independent research, consumer insight and evaluation.

About the role

The role leads the delivery of our social media strategy and supports our Creative Content Lead to deliver Drinkaware’s multimedia content strategy. The role is key in ensuring that the public can make conscious, informed choices about alcohol and can find help if they need it. The key focus of this role will be developing and growing our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn). It will suit a creative, thoughtful digital producer who is able to successfully adapt difficult and nuanced messages for our key audience groups. Outside of social media, this role will be responsible for producing new multimedia content for other channels and making sure that existing digital content is up to date, accurate and engaging, to promote our brand and information through social and digital channels and to protect us from repetitional damage.  

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead Social Media
• Manage, develop and grow Drinkaware’s social media channels, including community management and maximising engagement across channels
• Plan, develop and schedule social media content in line with our content planning cycle
• Proactively develop new content ideas that amplify activity happening across the company and tap into relevant conversations (e.g. Alcohol Awareness Week).
• Monitor social channels for reactive engagement opportunities and to flag any reputational risks emerging on socials
• Work with Creative Content Lead to develop the Drinkaware social media strategy and plan, including KPIs, ensuring it meets our content strategy objectives
• Proactively stay ahead of social media trends and ensure our channels are affectively developed and maintained
• Develop and manage a small group of influencers to support the work of Drinkaware
• Build relationships with specific audiences through community management across channels, which includes finding advocates/case studies for Drinkaware

Content creation

• Create content for our social media channels
• Confident planning in video content into social plans to garner maximum engagement
• Experienced in filming content and editing into engaging and informative content which conveys the key message in an accessible way
• Familiar with different files and formats/dimensions across social channels
• Commission and manage agencies to produce digital content as required, including animations, photography and video

Contribute

• Work closely with the Creative Content Lead to support the creation of website content and email marketing, ensuring this feeds directly into the overarching content strategy. 
• Ensure the website content is accurate and up to date
• Constantly work to improve the website for our audience (users)
• Working with the Digital team to make changes to the website based on data, audience (UX) and expert research to improve accessibility, search engine optimisation (SEO) and the connection our audiences.  

Tone of voice

• Become expert in the Drinkaware Tone of voice, so you can advise others and spot errors
• Support the Creative Content Lead in embedding the Tone of voice across Drinkaware

About you

• Substantial experience in a social media delivery role
• Knowledge and understanding of social media and how to optimise each channel
• A track record of creating and delivering content across a range of channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
• Experience of advocating

• A keen eye for detail and strong proof-reading skills
• Experience using CMS platforms
• Good understanding of brand and tone of voice and the opportunities and risks posed by them

Senior Direct Marketing Officer

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Direct Marketing Officer to manage and deliver our Cash and Raffle programme. Within this role, you will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of cash and raffle donors and for managing the two Direct Marketing Officers on the projects to deliver this area of our programme.

We’re looking for a Data Officer to join our growing Young Sounds team. You will fulfil an important cross-organisational role, working closely with the team to collate and analyse the data collected through all our programmes.

About Young Sounds UK

Young Sounds exists because musical talent is everywhere but opportunity isn’t: family finances and other obstacles too often get in the way. We’re here to change this in two key ways:

• We support young musicians from low-income families with funding and other help;

• We support music education through training, advocacy and research.

We became an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation in April 2023 and also joined an expanded cohort of National Youth Music Organisations (NYMOs). We currently support around 900 individual young people across the UK every year and demand for our support is increasing. The role

The Data Officer will fulfil an important cross-organisational role, working closely with the team to collate and analyse the data collected through all our programmes. Young Sounds is a reflective organisation. We’ve always invested time and effort in seeking out, understanding and demonstrating the difference our programmes are making. We believe in learning from experience. This is what we mean by evaluation.

Since 2023 we have committed to evaluating all three of our main programmes, each of which tackles a key barrier to young people’s musical progression. Each quarter we review our progress against both our Arts Council England Activity Plan (where measures of success are agreed annually) and the actions we’ve set for each year against each of Arts Council England’s four Investment Principles. We believe that data plays an integral part in telling the story of our work, and we regularly draw upon the information collated through evaluation to update our wider funding base (e.g. Trusts and Foundations) on the work we are doing. The Data Officer will work with the External Evaluator to enable us to report effectively and accurately on our progress to all our funders.

We are looking for a dedicated Engagement Officer for Healthwatch Stockport. Could this be you?

You will be working within the passionate team at Healthwatch Stockport to effectively engage with local people, communities who have a lived or living experience of serious mental illness and of using mental health services in Stockport.

You will be a point of contact for individuals and voluntary and community groups, to share experience, to develop meaningful communication methods and feedback the impact of their voice and involvement. You will facilitate co-production and develop approaches to support individuals and groups to be involved and engaged as partners in the development and co-design of mental health support and living well across Stockport.

Planning, Development and Communication

You will • Develop, oversee, and implement the Living Well Expert by Experience workstream plan in partnership with people who have lived experience in using mental health services.

• Promote the aims and objectives of the workstream of throughout Stockport with service users, potential users of the services and services themselves.

• Co-ordinate and undertake research and report writing activity as required. Completing reports within agreed timescales and presenting and tailoring them to a variety of stakeholders.

• Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings, working groups and other forums in relation to the workstream. Taking briefing notes, minutes and developing promotional materials as appropriate with people who use local services.

• Communicate effectively with the public and the community about activities – including meeting the specific communication needs of people from the range of target stakeholders.

• Liaise with a range of key partners across the statutory and voluntary sector to ensure the voice of people with serious mental illness lived experience has influence and has the opportunity to be included in the planning, development and all discussions regarding community mental health care provision so that services are truly codesigned.

The 999 Club is a highly inclusive, community focussed charity supporting people in south-east London who are experiencing homelessness or mental health problems. Our goal is to provide a friendly open door for anyone that is sleeping on the streets or at risk of sleeping on the streets, 365 days a year, so that we can help people to help themselves escape from homelessness.

With a 30-year heritage, we play a vital role in our community and with community partners. In the average year, more than 1,600 different people will use our services. We support circa 300 people a year to find a new home or stay in their current home, and 300 people to start a job, training or volunteer. Our support is at the pace that is right for our members, that supports their goals.

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) are a membership body whose members are at the heart of what we do. Sitting in our communications directorate the Digital Officer will be instrumental in driving forward the development of the RCR’s websites and wider digital communications, helping to ensure we have the best platforms in which to deliver our messages. In this role you will lead on developing a digital first approach and ensuring we put the experiences of our members and audiences at the heart of our work.

If you are a dynamic and creative digital professional who is eager to make a positive contribution to our digital journey, as we work towards our aim of building an outward-looking organisation that helps raise the profiles of radiologists and oncologist in the UK and across the world, this is the role for you.

What you’ll do:

• Provide day to day support across the website and membership portal, liaising with internal teams and external agencies.
• Be champion for accessibility across all digital platforms, making recommendations and implementing policies and processes.
• Lead on member email communications and campaigns, liaising with colleagues to ensure communications are timely, coordinated and engaging.
• Collate regular reports to monitor the performance of digital communications using data to drive open rates and guide future developments.

What you’ll need:

• Experience of updating websites using content management systems.
• Excellent understanding of best practice for digital design and communications.
• Experience of writing, editing and proofing communications materials.
• Good understanding of the principles of web accessibility, user experience design and search engine optimisation.
• High level oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to design and create simple static or animated graphics, optimised for different digital platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.

REMAP is a unique national charity. It brings together two groups of people: volunteers skilled at making things and disabled people who need specialist equipment. Each year, around 3,000 pieces of custom-made equipment help transform the lives of disabled people.

REMAP’s army of ingenious inventors designs and makes equipment for young and old alike and then provides it free of charge. The aim is always to help people achieve quality of life, filling the gap where no suitable equipment is available commercially.

With an exciting new strategy that will continue to place the client at the heart of our work, we seek an experienced charity sector Volunteer Recruitment Officer to help us deliver on our mission and vision.

The Role

The Volunteer Recruitment Officer role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability. It is pivotal in ensuring our branches have the volunteers and guidance they need to support our clients in the future.

This is an internal and external-facing role, focused on recruiting volunteers and developing initiatives to streamline recruitment and welcoming new volunteers into our network of branches.

We seek an experienced volunteering officer with a strong volunteer recruitment and project delivery background. Experience in working with a team going through a change programme involving volunteers is advantageous. You will thrive in a busy environment, have excellent people skills, and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with project delivery and innovation. Building on the strategy already prepared, you will work closely with our Volunteer Administration Officer and Operations Manager to help REMAP support our branches across the UK.

About You

We want you to bring relevant experience, passion, dedication, creativity, and flair to our work.

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience in a similar position and be comfortable working with a diverse range of volunteers/people. As a self-starter, you can work at pace and quickly assess and deliver to changing priorities in a busy remote team. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to coordinate multiple tasks/activities and have the flexibility to respond to changing demands.

You will be proactive, enthusiastic, and excited about joining an organisation with ambitious plans to future-proof its services and reach more disabled people. Experience working in a remote environment is highly desirable.

Additional information about the role

Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 2/3 nights away for year-round events.

Working Hours: 22 hrs (pattern to be discussed)

Salary: £13,400 - £15,000 (actual salary), dependent on experience

Holiday entitlement: Begins at 25 days per annum (pro-rata), in addition to public holidays.
