Overview

JOB TITLE: Programmes Officer 

LOCATION: Home-based with bi-monthly team meetings in London. Some travel within the UK will be expected. 

SALARY: £26,471- £28,683 (depending on skills and experience) 

CONTRACT: Full time, 35 hours per week (requests for 0.8 FTE will also be considered).

Main duties

Programme Support 

• Provide support across Causeway's broad portfolio of programmes, such as online mentoring, insight days, work experience weeks and university and employer outreach schemes

• Organise programme-related events, such as workshops/webinars 

• Deliver workshops to students and stakeholders, alongside other members of the Programmes Team 

• Look after our shared inboxes and share queries with relevant team members 

• Support the collection of information as part of programme reporting requirements

• Support in the design and creation of new programme resources

• Support other team members with management of external communications including the Causeway website, Twitter account and newsletters 

• Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement with Causeway’s programmes (for example, student 1-1 calls and emails) 

General 

• Provide administrative support to other members of the organisation as required

• Liaise effectively and efficiently with other members in the organisation

• Lead by example, promoting the organisation’s values and expected behaviour 

• Undertake any other duties required by the CEO or the needs of the organisation

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager to join the HR team on a full-time basis. This role will be responsible for leading and supporting in the delivery of our staff training programme, overseeing all our people development activities, and ensuring that our statutory training requirements are met. As well as commissioning external training, we currently deliver a variety of online and face-to-face training in-house - First Aid, CPR, GDPR, Manual Handling, NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) to name a few. Our largest cohort for training is our care and support staff in our college, residential houses, adult day service, and supported living houses. We also have to ensure effective training is delivered for our estates team, catering staff, office staff, and our leaders and managers.

This role works closely with the senior leadership team to ensure a good understanding of business needs and the different operational teams to help propose the right training solutions delivered in the most impactful and cost-effective way to drive forward our strategic goals.

As part of the role, you will manage the in-house training system and staff training records and frequently update the training matrix, ensuring information is correct in a timely manner to issue monthly/termly reports to managers.

You may be a training manager or have been involved in planning or delivering effective training for your staff team. Training experience within a health and social care setting is desirable. We're looking for a Senior Training and Behaviour Advisor to work closely with fantastic behaviour teams across the South East of England region.

About this role:
As Senior Training and Behaviour Advisor, you’ll:

• work closely with staff across the country to ensure dogs in our care have effective, bespoke rehabilitation programmes to meet their needs,
• provide advice to centre staff in rehoming centres, as well as contributing to the ongoing assessment and rehabilitation of dogs in our care,
• collaborate with Behaviour Officers to provide bespoke behaviour training,
• in specific cases, complete independent assessments of dog behaviour to evaluate and understand the best approach.

About you:
In this role you’ll be mentoring and motivating our Behaviour teams, so you'll need experience of giving regular feedback and supporting colleagues with professional development, while being empathetic to the impacts of working closely with dogs with complex behaviour.. You’ll need significant experience of handling challenging dogs and assessing dog behaviour, particularly in a kennel environment. This will be supported by excellent knowledge of dog behaviour and the ability to tailor evidence based, appropriate behaviour plans.

The Role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager to join an established and well-regarded Gloucestershire disability charity to lead on the delivery of peer led Abuse Awareness, Self-Advocacy and Enablement Training for adults in Gloucestershire with learning disabilities.

Training is delivered through both individual and group training sessions across the county. 

By enabling and empowering Individuals to make decisions and act, the training will support people with a learning disability to develop the skills they need to ensure they are able to safeguard themselves from harm, contribute towards more independent living, and maintain and/or improve their health and wellbeing. 

About You 

You will be a highly motivated and engaging professional, with knowledge and experience in delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of training sessions, as well as guaranteeing the quality of delivery by the wider training team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in, knowledge and understanding of the daily challenges faced by adults with a learning disability.

The successful candidate will have a background in training or delivering in an academic environment. Direct experience of working with people with a learning disability is strongly preferred.

To be successful, you will have strong facilitation and communication skills, and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. A proven ability to work collaboratively, flexibly, and virtually, is essential. 

Experience delivering programmes related to diversity and inclusion would be beneficial, in addition to a thorough understanding of safeguarding.

• Leading a team to deliver our full range of bespoke training to adults with learning disabilities in Gloucestershire.

We’re seeking an Interim Training Manager for a 6-9 month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.  This is a unique opportunity to lead and enhance our training programmes within the charity sector.

About the role

Working closely with the Programme Officer for Training, the Training Manager will manage the training function, leading the delivery and continuous improvement whilst managing key relationships ranging from associate trainers who deliver training on behalf of Student Minds to external organisations who wish to purchase training. This role has responsibility for income generation within the organisation and management of the trainer network.

• Oversee and continuously improve the training function, ensuring objectives and outcomes are met on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

• Support the implementation of digital systems and contribute to website development for training-related content.

Now, after an internal promotion, we are looking to recruit an Organisational Support Officer.  This is a vital, interesting and challenging role.  It will mean you're involved in everything we do.  You'll work alongside and give practical support to all colleagues, using your skills to help us deliver products and services smoothly.

There will be four main areas where you will be most involved:

• Training....including administering agreements with trainers, providing pre and post event support for online sessions, creating products on our online training platform.
• Operations...including processing membership applications, dealing with queries from the public and professionals, supporting internal financial and other processes.
• Standards and governance...administering complaints, setting up and supporting committee meetings.
• Communications...including  social media posting, updating website content, creating newsletters.

The Role  

To support the Policy, Knowledge & Training team in the development of a wide array of knowledge resources (in written, visual, and digital form), and the design and implementation of creative communication strategies and mechanisms to effectively share these resources with various audiences across Open Society Foundations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Work with the Associate Director and the Policy, Knowledge & Training team, members of Grants Management, and other Open Society stakeholders to develop, test, produce and revise knowledge resources (for example, manuals, training guides, guidance and policy documents, case studies, workbooks, videos, online learning tools, and other resources) for Open Society’s Salesforce-based grantmaking software, grants management compliance, and grantmaking policies. 
• Assist a team of Grants Management trainers to facilitate trainings, both independently and as a part of the Policy, Knowledge & Training team, for in-person and remote learning sessions.
• Organize resources, information and data into useable formats to meet the needs of end users – both within Grants Management and for the entire organization.
• Develop and maintain informational resources for Grants Management, while ensuring appropriate controls are in place, adjusting for accuracy, completeness and readability. 
• Support the execution of communication strategies and mechanisms to share knowledge resources with diverse audiences inside Open Society. 
• Stay abreast of grants management and grantmaking policies and procedures, practices, and guidelines at Open Society, and assist stakeholders as needed to understand and adhere to these. 
• Build and maintain relationships with program and operational units across Open Society, helping to identify knowledge and experience within the organization that would be valuable to systematize and share broadly. 
• Help to identify gaps in knowledge and experience within the organization that the Policy, Knowledge & Training team should address. 
• Provide advanced administrative support for Policy, Knowledge & Training projects, including scheduling and arranging the logistics for in-person or virtual meetings, contributing to the development of agendas and facilitating work meetings when necessary, managing project’s timeline, identifying projects’ operational needs and developing solutions, and managing administrative issues related to the work of retained consultants.

• University degree – BA or BSc

• Experience in design and testing of training material
• Experience with evolving and complex administrative policies and procedures and operating within them and ability to quickly understand and use policies and procedures. 
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, and experience with other knowledge management/sharing platforms (Freshservice, Interact). 

Desirable: 

• Experience as an effective teacher/trainer/facilitator
• Experience working with a grant processing software/system (Salesforce or other CRM preferred) Knowledge of grant making concepts and the philanthropic and non-profit sectors in general
• Prior experience working with processes and systems – either from within Grants Management or from Programmatic teams.
• Proven experience in collaborating with multi-country stakeholders within a multinational organization, and/or organization with significant complexity

Cornwall Community Accountancy Service are looking for a Chief Executive Officer / Principal Accountant to take over from the founding CEO who is stepping back from the role.Reporting to the trustees this role takes primary responsibility for the day to day management and further development of the Community Accountancy Service to community organisations within Cornwall.The post holder will be a professionally qualified accountant holding a practising certificate, thereby responsible for quality control of all accountancy work performed.

This role would be ideal to work alongside an existing practice or someone who already has their own clients. This is a part time role (15-20 hours per week) with a salary of £63,700 FTE.The role would be with an immediate start with handover from the current CEO up until April 2025.The CEO is happy to remain on hand for support for the foreseeable future.

Main purpose of the role

This is a key role supporting the delivery of the online and in-person programmes that we run at Shine Cancer Support. Our programmes are a vital means of support for the Shine community, enabling younger adults to cope with cancer, no matter the type or stage of cancer.

As a Programme Officer, you will play an important role in working with the Programme Delivery Manager to ensure that the content of the programmes meets the needs of our service users, and that they are delivered in a way which empowers younger adults and builds Shine’s community across the UK. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Programme delivery:

• In collaboration with other team members, facilitating a range of Shine programmes, both online and in-person. This will include Shine’s current programmes: Break Out and Shine Circles, as well as in-person programmes such as Shine Shake Ups. Training and supervision will be provided for both. Travel may be required to cities across the UK to facilitate programme delivery.

• Facilitating regular online ‘meet ups’ for Shine service users from across the country.

2. Programme administration:

• Managing programme applications from application to enrolment on the programme.

• Conducting pre-programme discussions with applicants, ensuring they know what to expect from the programmes, answering questions they may have, and keeping relevant, confidential notes.

• Sharing upcoming programmes with other charity contacts and/or healthcare professionals.

• Working with other members of the Shine team to oversee programme-related administration

• Assist in maintaining databases of confidential participant data.

• Responding to enquiries from programme participants throughout the course of the programmes and beyond.

Evaluation and Reporting:

• Supporting the Programme Delivery Manager to conduct programme evaluations to assess effectiveness and impact.

• Analysis of monitoring data.

• Drawing on qualitative and quantitative feedback to create resources and case studies to further promote the programmes.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Experience of leading groups, facilitating group conversations or delivering education.

• Willingness/ability to support the needs of a diverse range of individuals.

• Strong organisation and project management skills, and the ability to deliver and respond to challenges.
