The MYcommunity Gateway Team provides support across Age UK Lambeth’s three Neighbourhoods: North, South and Central.
Age UK Lambeth and the MYcommunity Gateway team have partnered with Lambeth Adult Social Care in response to the redesign of their Initial Contact Service. Age UK Lambeth provides a busy, in-demand helpline to all new callers to Lambeth Adult Social Care. The helpline provides a triage service, dealing with enquiries, providing individuals the opportunity to discuss their issues and be provided with advice, information and guidance and potentially signposted to a range of services to provide them with support. Where appropriate, referrals are made to ASC for an assessment.
Call operation times will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.
The service works closely with Lambeth Adult Social Care and we have a base working alongside them at the Civic Centre in Brixton. Staff work hybridly, with the opportunity to work from home at least two days per week.
What you’ll be doing?

The Helpline Worker will answer Lambeth Adult Social Care’s telephone line where the caller has selected a new caller to the service.

Answer a range of queries and offer reassurance to all callers.

Refer clients to Adult Social Care for an assessment where appropriate.

Role purpose
The Centre of Excellence is WorldSkills UK’s flagship programme, dedicated to transforming the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment across Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). As Senior Workforce Development Manager, you will lead the programme management of the Centre of Excellence, playing a pivotal role in advancing its mission. Key tasks and responsibilities
1. Programme management:
Provide effective programme management ensuring the Centre of Excellence operates at the highest standards, with strategic oversight of all workstreams, including stakeholder engagement, resource management, and performance monitoring.
• Leading the programme’s strategic planning and execution, ensuring that all workstreams—including budget management, timelines, and resource allocation—are closely aligned with overall objectives. Proactively address challenges to maintain programme momentum and achieve milestones effectively.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support programme success. Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams, partners, and member institutions, promoting active engagement and collaboration throughout all programme phases.
• Establishing and overseeing a robust framework for monitoring and evaluating programme performance, focusing on impact assessment and continuous improvement. Provide regular reports on outcomes and insights, manage risks to ensure programme goals are met, and utilise evaluation data to inform strategic adjustments that enhance programme effectiveness.
• Overseeing the marketing and communication activity to promote the programme, ensuring it is visible and well-positioned among key audiences and stakeholders. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that highlight programme achievements, generate interest, and enhance engagement within the Centre of Excellence network and wider education and skills sector.
2. Network member Management:
Lead and execute a comprehensive member engagement strategy, driving value through targeted onboarding, recognition programmes, and an evolving account management framework to foster long-term member satisfaction and retention. Oversee tracking and analysis to inform strategic improvements and identify growth opportunities that align with the Centre of Excellence’s mission to expand impact.
• Developing and implementing a member engagement strategy, ensuring that institutions gain significant value from their involvement in the Centre of Excellence to include a recognition and awards programme to reward and celebrate members’ excellent practice and engagement with the Centre of Excellence.
• Providing strategic oversight to the enrolment and validation process for new members, ensuring that new institutions meet the Centre of Excellence’s standards, and work closely with the Network Member Manager to streamline onboarding, guaranteeing a positive initial experience that sets the stage for long-term involvement.
• Overseeing the tracking and evaluation of member engagement, using data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide regular updates on membership retention, engagement levels, and impact to leadership, and work with the Network Member Manager to develop strategies based on these insights.
• Identifying growth opportunities and enhancements to the programme offerings that can address emerging industry needs, supporting the Centre of Excellence’s mission and expanding its reach and impact.
3. Workforce Development:
The Senior Workforce Development Manager will lead a team of High Performance Skills Coaches to design, implement, and continuously improve a world-class teacher training programme. By incorporating global insights and innovative practices, this role ensures that the programme enhances teaching quality and raises educator capacity to deliver world-class education.
• Utilising insights from international benchmarking and emerging trends from global partners to incorporate cutting-edge methodologies and world-class standards into the teacher training programme.
• Leading a team of Skills Coaches to guide the development and delivery of high impact teacher training experiences, focusing on practical and solutions focussed strategies underpinned by international best practice that improve teaching, learning, and assessment.
• Overseeing the planning and scheduling of training activities to align with the academic calendar, ensuring that sessions are well-timed and accessible to educators throughout the year. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications teams to promote training opportunities, generate demand, and expand programme reach, actively engaging member institutions and their teaching staff.
• Establishing robust tracking and evaluation systems to monitor programme outcomes, using data to measure the effectiveness of training content and delivery. Analyse engagement and impact metrics to inform ongoing improvements, ensuring alignment with Centre of Excellence goals and maintaining the programme’s reputation for excellence.
4. General responsibilities for a Senior Manager

Who are we looking for:
It is expected that the Senior Emergency Supply Chain Specialist (SESCS) will have significant prior experience in humanitarian supply chains, at international, regional, and local level and will have extensive experience in delivering aid in an emergency context.
The SESCS is an enthusiastic team member and a creative problem-solver with a keen eye for detail. They see opportunities in challenges and have outstanding interpersonal skills. This role would be ideally suited to someone with humanitarian emergency response experience both at an HQ, regional and field level.
This role is suited to someone who has experience in mentoring junior colleagues and who is looking to progress their career with line management responsibilities, whilst also working directly on delivering emergency response programmes.
The role will be starting at a time where ShelterBox is going through significant change with a Business Systems Transformation taking place across the organisation to improve our ways of working. This will allow us to be more effective in the face of mounting humanitarian needs and we therefore look forward to welcoming candidates who remain flexible and open to change.
The SESCS will always work within the charity’s aims, objectives and values and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Role purpose
This role will be a core member of the Supply Chain Team, within the International Programmes Directorate and will report to the Programme Supply Chain Manager.
The SESCS will work closely with the Supply Chain Managers, Emergency Team, Regional Directors and Programme Managers and it is expected that the SESCS will be assigned to work mainly on the Emergency Responses and line manage Emergency / Supply Chain Specialists or Junior Supply Chain Specialists. Although other regions and countries may also require support at times.
The SESCS will engage in numerous tasks and projects encompassing the entire supply chain, from global and local scoping, tactical planning, and strategic supply chain management, to negotiation, procurement, and readiness.
The goal of the SESCS is to assist ShelterBox aid recipients by managing humanitarian supplies to provide aid and support to disaster-stricken areas, both from a distance and on-site.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
· Lead and coordinate the design and implementation of the supply chain for an assigned Emergency Response or Programme. This includes assessing and selecting supply options/route; supporting tax free importation and customs clearance; developing last-mile logistics solutions including in-country freight and warehousing; supporting the sourcing of operational services and goods at a local, regional, and global level; advising and reviewing partner procurement; and supporting CVA modalities to ensure high quality, timely responses.
· Responsible for tendering international freight requests to ensure best value, service, and accountability for movement of relief supplies. Including overseeing shipping of aid items by air, sea, road, or rail and arranging the preparation and provision of relevant shipping documentation.
· Establish, develop, and lead on good supply chain relationships with freight forwarders, suppliers, other humanitarian actors, relevant government departments and logistics coordination mechanisms (Logistics Cluster) at both global, regional, and field levels.
· Work with the Emergency Team and wider International Programmes Department to set up partnerships with other organisations.
· Provide line management and support to Emergency / Supply Chain Specialists / Junior Supply Chain specialists. Provide supervision to staff and volunteers during deployment and/or when providing on call remote support.
· Support with developing and delivering supply chain training for internal and external audiences.
· Be able to deploy and be the focal point for supply chain activities, setting up and overseeing the timely delivery of aid items and assistance. Possessing the ability to separate from the main team along with some team members and assume the role of a team leader for that subgroup.
· Be part of a roster and provide an out-of-hours first point of contact for supply chain activities for emergencies and deployed teams.
· Support ShelterBox to seek out new trends, innovations, and best practice in supply chain within the disaster relief sector. Be a champion for supply chain improvements within the International Programmes Department.
· Support the development of Supply Chain approaches, tools, templates policies and procedures to ensure more effective and efficient emergency responses.
· Identify, mitigate, and record supply chain risk in emergency responses and programmes and escalate when required.
· Contribute to delivering emergency preparedness activities.
· Play an active role in driving forward modifications in how we operate to enable ShelterBox to achieve our sustainable supply chain targets which include a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
· In collaboration with Global Supply Chain Manager support the management of prepositioned inventory including monitoring appropriate inventory levels, supporting tactical and strategic replenishments.
· Maintain excellent information management of supply chain activities, to ensure accurate record keeping and accountability and transparency of aid.
· Provide regular reporting and briefings for internal and occasionally external use.
· Promote and demonstrate humanitarian principles in all activities.
· Ensure adherence to ShelterBox procedures and policies including those relating to safeguarding, code of conduct, safety, and security.

Background and context: At Fight for Peace we support young people to reach their full potential. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, we have been operating since 2000 and have impacted the lives of thousands of young people at our Academy in east London, and via a national and international network of partners who are trained in our approach.
We focus on marginalised communities because typically this is where the need for our work is greatest, and where we can have the biggest impact. Our work covers three complementary strategic areas to ensure that we can maximise our reach and impact Academy, Alliance and Collectives. We work directly with young people at our Academy, developing their potential using a Five Pillars methodology which combines combat sports, education, employability, youth leadership and support services.

Purpose of the Role
· To make a significant and effective contribution to Fight for Peace and its success by leading, developing and managing the implementation of Employment-focused relationships to create pathways for young people to transition into apprenticeships, internships and paid work opportunities.
·To be the first point of contact for all employability needs, facilitate the delivery of partner-run vocational courses, and deliver a holistic time-bound employment programme ensuring young people experience high-quality and engaging sessions.
· To work with existing partners and develop new relationships to help create employment opportunities for young people
· To work with members of the Newham Youth Partnership to understand the needs of the young people who access their services and help match those young people up with employment opportunities.
· To support with joining up existing employment projects across Newham so that partners collaborate, share best practices and resources and young people get the best support at the earliest point.
You will:
·Engage and build respectful, honest and supportive relationships with young people and their families including those who may previously have had little contact with services and have multiple support needs.
· Hold and maintain an active case load of young people, providing employability support across a structured 8 to12-week programme.
· Deliver employability training and support to young people in the form of one-to-one sessions, group workshops, peer mentoring, and training opportunities by external partners.
· Continuously improve and develop all aspects of the employability programme to successfully respond to local youth needs within Newham and the surrounding areas
· Develop relationships with existing partners to create employment-based opportunities for young people from Fight for Peace and the Newham Youth Partnership.
· Coordinate the placement of young people in employment opportunities within corporate partner organisations and local businesses.

Research, Advisory and Policy Department (RAP)
The Research, Advisory and Policy Department (RAP) of 9 staff facilitates learning and provides guidance to improve peace policy and practice inside and outside CR.
RAP is responsible for the Accord publication series and cross-organisational research programmes, thematic policy advocacy, and the organisational approach to, and technical support to Programme Departments and the research team on gender and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and policy advocacy. The RAP Department includes the CR EU team based in Brussels.
Job Purpose
The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning leads on developing and implementing Conciliation Resources’ strategy, systems and skills for MEL in our peace practice. They ensure that MEL in CR serves to: evaluate the impact of our interventions; improve adaptability and effectiveness of our practice, including the objectives in our Gender Strategy; record, organise and learn from evidence of what works and what doesn’t; improve our knowledge base, culture and practice of capturing and measuring change; and inform CR and the wider peacebuilding sector about how to measure progress in peace initiatives.
The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning acts as the technical lead on MEL, providing thought leadership, strategic guidance and technical advice to Programme and RAP teams on MEL; on learning goals in our Strategic Plan; on measuring progress towards our peacebuilding goals, our Theory of Change and our Results Framework; and on how to use MEL data for different strategic processes.
Scope and Accountability
The Head of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning is accountable to and line-managed by the
Director of Research, Advisory and Policy, and is a member of the Research, Advisory and Policy team. They work closely with CR Programme Departments and partners, Communications and Development teams, and the Executive Management Team. They are a member of the Team Leaders Forum.
Essential Knowledge, skills and experience
- Thorough knowledge of complexity aware approaches and methodologies for MEL at strategic, organisational and project level, including Outcome Harvesting.
- Experience in leading the design and implementation of MEL systems at organisation level.
- Experience of integrating gender into MEL frameworks and approaches.
- Experience of applying different MEL frameworks and techniques, such as logical frameworks, Outcome Harvesting, theories of change and participatory techniques to programme design.
- Experience in delivering MEL training and capacity building support online and in person.
- Experience of staff line management and the procurement and management of consultants.

Job description
- The Resident Liaison and Occupancy (RLO) Lead will be responsible for managing the full enquiry process for individuals requiring our services, providing excellent levels of customer care. They will ensure a warm and receptive experience for veterans and their partners with our Homes, assist them with their individual financial needs assessments, help coordinate the moving in process, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- The RLO Lead will work closely with beneficiaries and their families across all our Homes, as well as local authorities and social workers to ensure that veterans and their partners can access the services and environments that best meet their needs.
Assessment and access to services
- Coordinate and manage the enquiry and moving in process to our Homes from first points of contact or referral to admission, ensuring a smooth transition for veterans and their partners.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals’ needs in collaboration with our Homes, social workers and healthcare professionals.
- Identify suitable services and support according to our criteria that align with assessed needs, preferences, and best interests of the individuals.
Liaison and coordination
- Act as a primary point of contact for our Homes, social workers, families, and other stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support to veterans and their families throughout the moving in journey, or where they require support from other services.
- Provide a positive customer experience, helping to facilitate communication and collaboration among all parties involved with the moving in process.
- Work in collaboration with the Marcomms teams to input effective data to relevant analysis.
Contract management
- Negotiate and manage resident agreements with Home Managers, local authorities, residents and families, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor relationships and communication with local authorities, community teams and hospital discharge teams addressing any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Monitor the ratio of self-funders to local authority residents and liaise with the Financial Controller to report their occupancy status.
Quality assurance and compliance
- Ensure that all admissions comply with regulatory standards, our policies, and best practices.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of the assessment and admissions of new residents into our Homes to maintain high standards of satisfaction.
- Address any concerns or complaints regarding admissions and take appropriate action to resolve issues.
Data management and reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all enquiries, admissions, assessments, and contracts using Found (our occupancy database).
- Prepare regular reports on occupancy activity, outcomes, and performance metrics liaising effectively with the Marcomms team
- Utilise data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and improve service delivery.
- Undertake any other duties as required and consistent with the nature of the role as determined by your manager.
