Role outline and purpose
Ensuring the delivery of The Trussell Trust’s vision to end the need for food banks in the UK by developing an in-depth understanding of Trussell Trust food banks in their area and using coaching and assist to build and hold productive relationships to:
· Develop and execute a strategic plan for reducing the need for food banks’ services locally.
· Work alongside local partners to increase public will for long-term solutions to end the need for food banks.
· Develop and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders to assist evidenced-based policy change at a local level and feed into activity to drive policy and practice at UK wide and national levels.
Responsibilities
· Assisting trustees, staff and volunteers within food banks to develop their plans to end the need for their services locally through the strategic key areas of operations, volunteering, data, participation, church engagement, governance and stability, financial inclusion, stakeholder engagement, local influencing, referral pathways and signposting.
· Assist food banks to operate in a safe, legal and dignified manner (through calls, visits, training, meeting facilitation and our risk management and self-assessment processes) and assist the facilitation of good practice within the network and wider organisation (through cluster meetings, regional forums, road shows, webinars, peer support and internal meetings).
· Contribute to the development and promotion of support available to food banks through the Trussell Trust (including use of the digital hub, toolkits, partnerships and expert advice) and assist food banks with grant application processes, as required.
· Develop and manage positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders, including local councils and anti-poverty networks, to ensure the Trussell Trust vision is understood and able to influence local decisions, whilst supporting and empowering food banks to foster these relationships locally.
· Work with food banks to ensure that local churches (including church leaders) are connected to and have an understanding of the importance of ending the need for food banks in local communities.
· Support the development, and lead on aspects of delivery, of projects with food banks and external partners that contribute to ending the need for food banks.
· Ensure the voice of our network is heard throughout the organisation through reporting, information sharing and participation in additional working groups and projects.
Technical skills and minimum knowledge:
· Competent and efficient use of IT, particularly the main Microsoft Office programmes. Previous experience of Salesforce or similar CRM system is desirable.
· Experience of working innovatively and creatively.
· Experience of complex problem solving and responding to crisis situations.
· Strong organisational skills and experience of managing competing priorities within challenging timescales.
· An appreciation and understanding of the significance of Christian faith within our food bank network, and the ability to build effective relationships in contexts where Christian faith plays a major part, and in which people of all faiths and none collaborate to make a difference together. Food banks in our network are typically governed by or run in partnership with local churches from across a wide range of denominations and traditions.

THE ROLE
The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will inspire grant bodies, charitable trusts, and foundations to support our mission. This is a key role in growing our funding to achieve our ambitious 2030 strategy. As part of the Grants and Trusts team, you'll craft and submit high-quality funding bids and projects, working closely with colleagues, partner organisations, and funders. The role will lead collaborative project teams, to present compelling cases to maximise funding opportunities, ensuring projects meet organisational and funder criteria.
Attending external meetings to foster relationships and develop partnership agreements is vital to the success of this role, as is staying updated on funding trends to identify new opportunities and maintain the Trust's reputation with top-notch bids and reporting.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home with time spent on site and project visits (once a month depending on the project). You will also be expected to attend a team/departmental meeting in Grantham each quarter.
THE CANDIDATE
You will have experience creating compelling propositions that lead to tangible outcomes, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to build partnership bids. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The role requires a confident, enthusiastic team player who can inspire others and work collaboratively. You will be self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, and ambitious in achieving results. Experience in project development and management, including budgets, and an understanding of impact evaluation and reporting are also necessary.

About You:
Having worked in a third sector direct marketing role previously, you will have experience running effective national and regional campaigns using a variety of fundraising channels including digital, email, social media, direct mail, and telemarketing. With your good organisational and time management skills you’ll be able to meet deadlines and manage conflicting priorities under pressure.
You will have knowledge of usability testing, user research methods and conversion rate optimisation as well as an understanding of fundraising regulator guidance, gambling commission compliance and GDPR.
About The Role
- Manage the delivery of all Retention campaigns from concept through to evaluation, using data and insight to drive creative and production, drawing up schedules, and managing the approval processes
- Work collaboratively with data teams to ensure effective use of supporter profiling for delivery across a range of Retention campaigns
- Manage relationships with external agencies including media houses, designers and printers; to negotiate costs and relevant performance reviews
- Responsibility for collation of all KPI tracking, trend analysis and activity results that feed into the team’s reporting and performance structure
- Work alongside the Content team to research and develop strong cases for support to appeal to existing donors. To gather information, case studies and photos for use in all direct marketing campaigns. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters

With your proven experience of philanthropy fundraising, you’ll have personally secured 5 figure + gifts from a major donor. This role involves supporting the Food Service Manager in leading the food service team to deliver exceptional service and exceed visitor expectations. The successful candidate will implement and uphold service standards as outlined in the Food Services Strategy, ensuring top-tier service, presentation, and cleanliness across our restaurant, coffee shop, and event center. In the absence of the Assistant Food Service Manager, the Front of House Team Leader will step in to oversee operations and maintain service quality.
The Front of House Team Leader will play a crucial role in liaising with the management team, maintaining positive relationships within the NMA, and ensuring front of house staff are knowledgeable about daily offerings. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding Food Service Assistants, resolving customer complaints efficiently, achieving sales targets, and ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations. Additionally, the role involves managing stock and cash, assisting with stock takes, and training staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
Qualified candidates will have proven supervisory experience in a similar role and industry, with a good understanding of health and safety procedures and regulations. Windsor Road service offers 11 beds to people experiencing mental ill health. We are a CQC registered residential care home. We offer individual one to one interventions and sessions such as social anxiety, anxiety, finance and budgeting, positive self-image, building self-esteem, support with diet and nutrition, healthy eating, sleep hygiene, DBT skills, building resilience, life skills, solution-based therapy, stress management etc. We offer a range of activities in our service planner including a daily coffee morning, a ‘here and now’ group, community gardening, cooking, arts and crafts, social inclusion and family and friends’ days. We support our residents with daily living skills where this is needed, such as support with shopping and cleaning tasks, this could include prompting or supporting alongside them. We also work closely with other agencies and our residents wider care teams, so good communication skills are required. And of course, all of this is recorded on our information management systems, so good record keeping and documentation is also essential. Care home, mental health support or social care experience is preferred. You will be required to administer medication and complete a medication qualification and the care certificate. Candidates with an understanding of mental health issues and/or lived experience would be welcomed. More important is your caring and compassionate nature and empathy and enthusiasm for helping others. Whatever your background, you’ll need to be happy to work both independently and within a team and willing to be part of a weekly rota system and available for on call duties as well as completing sleep in shifts.

About the role
The Finance and Risk Manager will be a member of the Reaching the Last Mile project (RLM) supporting NTDs Elimination Programme Management Office (PMO) and will report to the Director, RLM and Finance Manager. Reaching the Last Mile (RLM) is a high profile, high value, multi-partner programme, which will make a significant contribution to the control and elimination of the Oncho LF.
The Finance and Risk manager will be responsible for supporting in-country financial oversight, maintaining consolidated programme accounts, cash flow management, payment processes and ensuring that the risk mitigation strategy is applied throughout the project. This resource will work closely with the Finance Manager, the Head of PMO and implementing partners to ensure the financial principles of the contract are complied with and that proper accounting records are maintained for reporting to RLM donors.
Further duties include:
- Financial Oversight: Conduct reviews and provide feedback on financial documents for RLM and other programmes, ensuring partners and Sightsavers' staff maintain rigorous standards.
Ensure conformity to the principles of the contract with specific emphasis on:
