About you

We are now looking for a capable and experienced fundraising administrator to join our fundraising team at an exciting time in our history as we pursue ambitious targets to broaden our reach and impact. You will collaborate with colleagues and suppliers to effectively manage the day to day administration of donations, supporter care, records management and support for the team. 

This new role will suit a proactive and organised self-starter with great interpersonal skills, customer service experience and determination to make a difference. 

As the ideal candidate you will be methodical, reliable, familiar with data management, CRM (Client Relationship Management) systems and have an eye for detail. You will help shape effective systems and processes to improve the efficiency of our fundraising operation and allow the fundraising managers to focus fully on fundraising, knowing that the essential administration is in safe hands.

The Role
As Data and Performance Manager, you will support Phoenix Futures to achieve our purpose for everyone to be able to achieve their potential for themselves, their families and communities. About You

Citizens Advice Hounslow is a well-established charity operating in the London Borough of Hounslow, supporting over 15,000 clients a year. We have an exciting new opportunity in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to provide welfare advice to support to people affected by cancer and those who care for them. 

This post is funded by Macmillan Cancer Support and is aimed at assisting clients on the phone and in person from our offices and outreach venues including local hospitals.

Role purpose:

To provide welfare benefits advice, casework, and assistance in accessing other financial sources, to maximise the income of those living with cancer, their families, and carers. This may include disability benefits and other sources of financial support such as grants and help with health and travel costs.

Training

Successful post holders who are new to cancer, will be provided with Macmillan specific welfare benefits community of practice and learning opportunities once in post.

Delivery locations

A key aspect of the project is to deliver an outreach service at the West Middlesex Hospital, our offices in Hounslow and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, with regular sessions to be covered by the team of advisers. Clients will also be seen in person for appointments at our offices, while telephone advice and video appointments can be done working remotely.

Main responsibilities

• To provide welfare benefits advice, casework, and assistance in accessing other financial sources to maximise the income of those living with cancer, their families, and carers.
• Assist clients to challenge benefits decisions.
• Liaise and negotiate with other statutory and voluntary organisations to progress the client’s case and ensure they receive all assistance available.
• Achieve good outcomes for clients by helping them access benefits, grants, discretionary payments, schemes and discounts.
• Maintain detailed electronic case records and other data for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring and report preparation.
• Make internal referrals or signpost clients to other organisations as appropriate for specialist help with issues that fall outside the remit of the Macmillan service, including housing, debt, and employment.
• Interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills so that clients feel able to explain their problem(s) and empower them to set their own priorities.
• Collaborate with managers and colleagues to ensure the promotion, development and good working of the Macmillan project.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Project Assistant to support INQUEST’s National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Unlocking the INQUEST archive: memorialising death and resistance. This project encourages engagement with the INQUEST archive and memorialises state-related death and resistance through creative outputs including: 12-month consultation, artist’s residency, banner making, small scale events, archival research, film screenings and a podcast series.

Organised, motivated by logistics, system-orientated, able to react efficiently to pressure, change and multitasking, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communications skills necessary to liaising with a varied audience, including bereaved families and other key project stakeholders. They will be experienced in handling telephone calls, email correspondence, administration systems, and key IT software packages. Working closely with the project manager and project staff, they will support all components of our heritage project, including organising events and travel, liaising with key stakeholders, project social media and general administration. We Are Listening is a new charity, created to provide an alternative befriending service for
elderly, isolated and vulnerable people who may feel socially excluded. Our mission is to
help relieve their isolation and to assist their integration back into society by providing a
telephone and/or correspondence based befriending service.

Key responsibilities include:
 Management, development and service delivery of key programmes including Good Call
(our new telephone befriending service) and Postbox (a pen pal programme).
 Volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention – campaign and relationship
management, recruitment administration and onboarding.

You will play a key role in the successful establishment, monitoring and management of the Apprenticeship style training programme for trainees in Children and Young People work in churches in the Diocese of Southwark.

The postholder will enable the training placements to be properly administered and monitored, as well as, providing additional support for the apprentices and their parish line managers by having regular meetings and telephone calls. This post will require liaising with parish Children’s and Youth workers, coordinating training courses and general administration.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Service which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse victims and their children.

The Early Interventions Team act as the gateway for all domestic abuse and referrals to the Wiltshire Service. Working within an experienced and established team, the EI Triage Advisor will:

• Triage referrals, with a particular focus on domestic abuse referrals.
• Conduct risk assessments and offer immediate safety planning advice.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Signpost victims and professionals to other support agencies where appropriate.
• Offer specialist domestic abuse advice and support to professionals.

In addition, the role requires the building of effective relationships both internally within the Wiltshire Team and externally, supporting a multi-agency approach.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Working with vulnerable people and risk management:

• Provide a victim focused service, with an understanding of the impact of trauma on vulnerable people.
• Demonstrate specialist knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse and how this may impact on the wider family unit.
• Provide advice, guidance and support to people who are victims of domestic abuse.
• Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, including the use of the dash risk assessment tool and SOAG (Severity of Abuse Grid).
• Make safeguarding referrals where appropriate: including to Children’s Social Care, Adult Social Care, Mental Health crisis teams and MARAC (multi-agency risk assessment conference).
• Work directly with individuals or groups as agreed with the Team Manager.
• Safeguard the health and welfare of service users and their families.
• Respond to emergencies and crisis situations including supporting a service user to access a place of safety if appropriate.
• Manage and support service users by telephone with low to medium support needs in line with the agreed values and aims of the service.
• Act as duty worker as part of a rota system. Duty shifts take place in the Trowbridge Office on weekdays between 9 and 5pm.

Team working

• Offer professional advice and support to multi-agency partners.
• Feedback to the Team Manager, Wiltshire Service Manager and/or other Support Workers any information related to the service users support needs or risk issues, and progress on support tasks.
• Work effectively in partnership with multiple statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance service delivery, safety and safeguarding.
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holiday and sickness.
• Work closely with other agencies, to network with, make referrals to and maintain good relationships with, and be able to disseminate information appropriately.
• Communicate with other staff, as well as the Team Lead and Wiltshire Service Manager, issues related to activities and work undertaken.

Administrative duties

• Help provide a responsive support service with a high quality of customer care.
• Answer the telephone and take messages and referrals, take action on messages and referrals and provide a triage service for all referrals.
• Assist in the referral process and EI follow up, contacting other agencies and helping to arrange appointments.
• Assist in the assessment and allocation of service users.
• Update written and computerised records with accurate clear information to deadline, including maintaining details of any special needs required by service users.
• Assist with monitoring and evaluation policies and procedures and producing reports.

Additional tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure personal safety for self, other staff and service users at all times.
• Participate in personal training and supervision opportunities and attend team meetings.

Southall Community Alliance is a charity that has been working in Southall for over 30 years. We are now looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Community Energy Adviser to support Southall’s economically disadvantaged residents and introduce home energy-saving advice to vulnerable residents.

Southall is home to many diverse communities for whom English is a second language, so the post will involve arranging activities to raise awareness of energy saving measures and improve domestic gas safety.

Main Duties:

1. Arranging domestic gas safety and home energy advice sessions
2. Deliver carbon monoxide awareness outreach sessions with community groups
3. Developing and updating web portal with energy efficiency and gas safety advice and co-ordinating with other provision
4. Arrange ‘energy zones’ connecting residents at large faith events with energy efficiency information and signposting
5. Arranging community activities that promote social interaction and energy saving advice
6. To arrange healthy cooking and slow cooking classes for low income residents
7. Establish and service a network of community groups able to help families facing energy crisis and energy related issues
8. Gather monitoring data and produce progress reports and work summaries
9. Recruit and train volunteers to assist with project delivery
10. To attend meetings and prepare agendas, minutes and other relevant materials
11. Attend training courses and sessions as may be required
12. To carry out other duties as may be assigned by the Director, from time to time

Person Specification:

1. Have at least one year of experience of working with organisations and people from Black & Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities
2. Understand how to engage a diverse range of residents and stakeholders
3. Showing empathy with and experience of working with diverse and deprived communities to tackle financial barriers and challenges
4. Experience of customer facing roles and delivering community events and outreach activities to BAME organisations
5. Experience of arranging and delivering training for organisations
6. Ability to recruit, train and supervise volunteers
7. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
8. Understanding of GDPR and other regulatory compliance issues that affect data management and utilisation
9. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
10. Experience of producing publicity materials
11. Experience writing content for websites, reports, newsletters and social media platforms
12. Experience of securing funding and resources to support operational delivery
13. Ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills
14. Knowledge of a community language would be desirable

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with Woodgreen to recruit their Legacy and Mid-Value Campaign Manager. 

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working circa 2 days per month from either their Huntingdon or London office. 

Reporting into the Senior Development Manager, the Legacy and Mid-Value Campaign Manager will grow the existing legacy and in-memory pipeline and manage a range of direct marketing campaigns to engage, retain, and develop Legacy and mid-value supporters. Ensuring donor satisfaction and retention across Mid Value Donor and Legacy segments. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Planning:

• To provide expertise and collaborate with the Senior Development Manager to develop the legacy marketing acquisition strategy and tactical plan to grow the pipeline of legacy pledger base. 

• To collaborate with the Senior Development Manager to develop the mid-value programme strategy and tactical plan to deliver £200,000 gross income annually and identify donors for our major-donor pipeline. 

• To be responsible for the implementation of the legacy marketing acquisition and mid-value strategies.

Campaign delivery:

• To project manage a range of direct marketing campaigns, including direct mail, email, telemarketing and digital (social media/paid searches) and ensure that all projects are delivered on time and to budget. 

• To develop campaign briefs for direct marketing and stewardship campaigns.

• To produce regular and end of campaign reports/results analysis for all campaign activity.

Budgets:

• To provide a budget outline to the Senior Development Manager for the development of an annual budget, campaign budgets and implementation of marketing plans for Legacy and mid-value plans. 

• To ensure accurate monitoring, recording and management of campaign expenditure and invoices. 

• To manage and monitor budgets (income and expenditure) related to the Legacy and mid-value activities by producing monthly income/expenditure variance reports.

Person Specification: 

• Substantial legacy marketing experience.

• Substantial experience developing and implementing direct marketing campaigns.

• Demonstrable experience of effectively managing projects and budgets.

• Substantial experience of working with data and fundraising databases to develop and measure effective marketing strategies and activities.

• Excellent communication skills; written, presenting and telephone.

• Highly developed data analytical skills and attention to detail, specifically for supporter acquisition, retention and development management.

• Highly developed knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or similar Fundraising Data base.

As Supporter Engagement Officer you will be the primary contact point for the charity’s supporters and fundraisers to provide excellent customer care. This role is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious person looking to gain experience working across a variety of fundraising income streams.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Supporter Communications and Fulfilment
Be the primary contact point for our supporters and fundraisers to provide excellent customer care
Answer supporter enquiries that come in by telephone, email and mail in a way that makes them feel important and valued regardless of the nature of their enquiry
Assist in piloting new stewardship journeys for supporters, ensuring that they feel valued and involved in the charity’s work.
To work with the team to provide support for key fundraising activities. This will include assisting with event administration, answering telephone calls, responding to emails, thanking participants, processing donations, sending materials to participants and updating records on the database
Monitor our event email inboxes and respond to all enquiries, cover the general fundraising inbox in the absence of the Supporter Engagement Officer
Maintain the database and Income Processing
Ensure fundraising income (cash, cheques and online platform donations) is processed and recorded correctly onto the database, and thanked in a timely manner
Record enquiries, correspondence and responses on the database
Record and update non-financial information provided by supporters, such as Gift Aid declarations, data protection opt-outs and other personal information.
General admin support to include scheduling and minuting meetings where required
