The purpose of your role
We’re looking for a Recruitment Operations Officer to join our award-winning team to support the operational delivery of the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes for all Police Now programmes, to enable us to achieve our ambitious mission.
You will have oversight of the Recruitment & Marketing department’s governance structures which underpin all our day-to-day delivery; from policies and processes, to reporting infrastructure, planning, implementation and evaluation cycles, and quality assurance and compliance. This dynamic and varied role will include internal cross-team and external stakeholder collaboration, bringing structure to ambiguity, and opportunities for consistency across the organisation.
You will be a system expert, owning our candidate communications platform and supporting the continued development and best practice use of our applicant tracking system. You will manage several projects, often acting as a first escalation point for issues, troubleshooting and problem-solving queries that arise.
This is a critical role within our team and there is true scope to innovate and optimise within your areas of responsibility, with support and guidance from our Recruitment Delivery Manager, giving you the opportunity to bring your creativity alongside knowledge and experience to the team.
Key responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within our Recruitment Delivery sub-team of eight, contributing to a high-performance culture and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
- Take a hands-on role developing and maintaining the Recruitment & Marketing department governance structures, including taking the lead in updating policies and processes each year, as well as ownership for specific frameworks such as quality assurance and candidate experience surveys.
- Lead the continued evolution of our reporting structures, designing sophisticated dashboards and tools and regularly reporting to senior stakeholders on progress to targets, SLA compliance and operating performance. Conduct thorough evaluations at the end of each campaign to make recommendations for future improvements to our operations and delivery.
- Ensure the successful ongoing delivery of our cohort implementation and candidate journey, by maintaining and evolving our candidate communications platforms including multiple inboxes and live chat; supporting the continued development and best practice use of our applicant tracking systems; and managing stakeholder and team communication and training related to relevant systems and platforms.
- Oversee and deliver key compliance-based projects throughout the recruitment yearly cycle on time and to a high standard, including leading our post-offer pre-employment checks such as degree certificate verification and referencing, the distribution of final offer letters, and managing cross department data handovers.
- Support with organisational data requests and work with stakeholders across different teams as a directorate Salesforce Champion. Monitor compliance and best practice to ensure we adhere to applicable requirements under GDPR.
- Ad hoc duties to support our busy team including facilitating and/or managing assessment centres and attending events.
Key Requirements
- Motivation and passion for the Police Now mission, values, and working within the policing sector.
- Knowledge and understanding of the graduate recruitment sector or similar high-volume candidate-driven environment.
- Proficient all-round IT skills, specifically including proven expertise in Microsoft Excel, and ability to develop knowledge and proficiency of Police Now’s applicant tracking, project management, and candidate communication systems.
- Outstanding project management skills combined with high levels of planning and organising ability, able to manage a varied workload, work to short deadlines and prioritise and make decisions effectively using good judgement.
- Experience developing and nurturing external stakeholder/supplier relationships with a personable and approachable style.
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and communicate well at all levels whilst understanding conflicting priorities and flexing working style appropriately.
- Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to identify challenges and implement solutions independently, proactively responding to situations.
- There will be a requirement for set days to be worked within the office (approximately 2-3 days per week), or stated venues, to support with the running and delivery of events, as well as infrequent travel nationwide.

The role:
The Senior Operations Manager (SOM) (Deputy COO) will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operational running of the Institute. They will be first point of call for all enquiries from staff, students, and other external stakeholders across all operations at the Earlham Institute (EI) crossing all areas of operational activity from corporate services to laboratory management.
They will support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) with the management of the Division, with line management of the Communications and Operational and Laboratory Management Groups which including building management and capital projects, as well as the Business Support Team. They will also assist with preparing briefing documents for senior Board and Committees and deputise for the COO on committees when needed.
The Senior Operations Manager is a busy and varied role, no two days are the same. The post holder will also assist the COO to oversee services provided to the Institute via the shared services (Norwich Bioscience Institute Partnership (NBIP)) providing Estates, Health and Safety, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, Finance, Purchasing and Computing services ensuring they are aligned to the needs of the Institute.
The ideal candidate:
The Senior Operations Manager will have a degree in relevant financial, legal, project management or operational areas of expertise or equivalent qualification.
They will have extensive experience working at Senior Management level, or working in a busy multidisciplined organisation, with involvement in the management of operational activities. They will need excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment, they will need a strong understanding of health and safety legislation in the workplace, if the post holder has experience in project management it will also be beneficial.
It is critical that the post holder has a natural interest in what makes an organisation successful in its delivery, can see solutions to barriers to success and wants to help others achieve their goals. They also need to be happy to be the front-line support for a variety of enquiries that need to be solved quickly.

The European Network on Statelessness (ENS) is seeking a Legal Officer (10-month fixed-term contract with potential for extension) to play a key role in enabling us to fulfil our mission to break the cycle of statelessness in Europe and realise everyone’s right to a nationality. There is a possibility of extension beyond the initial contract term, subject to funding availability.
ENS is a civil society alliance of over 180 members in 41 countries. We are dedicated to raising awareness about statelessness, supporting legal and policy development, and building civil society’s capacity to act. This is a great opportunity to help us deliver our new Strategic Plan working at the forefront of one of the most pressing human rights issues. The successful candidate will support our law and policy development work and help galvanise change across the region to end statelessness in Europe.
We are looking for someone with a legal background and good understanding of statelessness and related human rights issues and standards. They will be able to demonstrate an aptitude to successfully perform the various facets of the role, including legal research and analysis, litigation, and legal advocacy. They will be highly articulate in English (other languages are an asset) with excellent attention to detail, and strong IT, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Personal specification
Baca is looking for a Support Worker who can join the support team and provide support, care and be a role model for young people who are newly arrived refugees and victims of trafficking aged 16 to 18. They will be motivated and passionate about the work that Baca does and the young people in our care.
The successful applicant will have the ability to ensure the support we give to the young people is of the highest quality and goes beyond the statutory standards set. They will be very approachable, reliable and a strong team worker. Someone who is supportive, approachable, responsible, reliable, personable and willing to be flexible. They will be a great people person who can develop key external relationships. They will also be a very organised and proactive individual. The successful applicant will need access to transport as the role requires visiting the young people in their homes and attending different appointments/meetings across the midlands. The successful applicant will subscribe to and work in line with Baca’s vision and values.
The role will require the successful candidate to complete an enhanced DBS check.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, this role will help the charity to grow unrestricted income from individuals – including regular giving, giving in appreciation, mid value giving and appeals. You will lead on plans to grow our Individual Giving supporter base, uplifting donor gifts and providing excellent supporter experience to increase retention rates through the loyalty and commitment of donors.
The person will:
· Directly manage an Individual Giving Officer.
· Manage and identify growth opportunities for key individual giving income streams including appeals, regular giving, mid value giving, supporter newsletters, digital giving and appreciation of care donations.
· Write engaging, impactful copy to engage and motivate donors and potential new donors.
· Work with the Supporter Journeys Officer to plan, introduce and evaluate integrated supporter journeys to grow loyalty and commitment.
· Produce detailed reports on campaign performance and monitor against past performance and planned expectations.
The successful candidate will have:
· Ideally you will have 3-4 years’ experience in a similar individual giving role.
· Previous line management experience, including conducting 1-1s and appraisals.
· An understanding of charity law, GDPR, data protection, PECR and the code of fundraising practice.
· Be a natural storyteller, able to demonstrate impact of support to encourage donations and increase retention.
· Previous experience of full campaign management including briefing agencies, sourcing content, managing data, copy development, proofing, briefing stakeholders, developing campaign analysis and reporting, managing budgets.
· Experience of using a CRM database and working with data teams to update key information, segment audiences and interpret results.
