The role of Charity Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. Our successful candidate will be happy to join a small, dedicated team, supporting existing staff, volunteers, and trustees in the administration of the charity. You will be key to developing policies and processes that will ensure the organisation is managed effectively and efficiently into the future.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Volunteer Coordinator to join our team covering Scotland. Your role will require you to oversee and run the volunteer programme, including recruitment and training of volunteers to support the delivery of contracts.  You will also be supporting the Operational Manager to coordinate and promote VoiceAbilitiy’s volunteer work in the area to meet the needs of the service and those that volunteer.

About you

Desirably you will have some experience of volunteering or, working with volunteers/ vulnerable people, or delivering advocacy.  You will have a knowledge of advocacy in health, social care and other settings and an understanding of the issues affecting adult social care, disability, autism, and mental health service users.

You should also understand safeguarding in relation to volunteering and the people we work with and the social values of volunteering and volunteer projects.

How will you make a difference?

You will be responsible for ensuring that we select the best volunteers for our roles; ensuring that they receive appropriate training and development to ensure that we are delivering the service required by our clients.

You will help to develop appropriate volunteer opportunities to meet the needs of our volunteering service and support the Operations Manager to coordinate and promote VoiceAbility’s volunteering work in Scotland.

You will lead on recruitment, ensuring that safe recruitment practice and appropriate checks are adhered to.  Matching prospective volunteers to appropriate opportunities for them to thrive in and facilitate group supervision and individual wellbeing checks.

Are you our new Advancement Coordinator?

We are looking for a fundraiser eager to take the next step in their career by joining us and becoming our Advancement Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Advancement, you'll support the Head of Philanthropy and the established Advancement team across key fundraising priorities. Your previous experience with managing executives/senior volunteers will contribute to supporting the Director of Advancement in managing the activities and priorities of a volunteer-led fundraising board. 

This is a pivotal new position created to contribute to a significant uplift in UWC International’s fundraising and prospect identification efforts in support of the new UWC Endowment and a future campaign. Your work will support the strategic and tactical planning and operational effectiveness of UWCI’s fundraising programme and the strategic development of global UWC funding priorities.

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison?

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Full Sutton. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. Fundraising and Training Coordinator 

Birmingham 

£24,804 (£19,843 pro-rata) per annum 

30 hours per week - either be 4 full days or 5 shorter days (happy to talk flexibility) 

Our client is looking for a conscientious and organised individual to provide exceptional support as part of their fundraising and training team. You will assist in the coordination of several key projects and ensure professional administrative support is provided to their External Training Lead and the Fundraising Lead. Their External Training team deliver courses like Mental Health First Aid to over 2,000 people per year. In the last five years they have also raised nearly £1m through fundraising, which they are able to invest in key services.  You will be integral in supporting both these areas to achieve their strategy as a charity. In this varied role, no two days will be the same, from supporting at fundraising events, to booking people into training courses or responding to invoicing and finance requests. You’ll feel at ease working on multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to new challenges and providing excellent administrative support 

You’ll have experience within an administration or coordination role, with good IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with the ability to manipulate data, export information and present information in a logical format. You’ll be proactive and innovative, demonstrating how to think out of the box to generate new ideas and identify solutions to problems. An excellent communicator, you’ll be able to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring that time critical deadlines are met. Working across the People team the People and Talent Coordinator is an essential for the organisation, contributing to the long- term development and performance of the People directorate.  The postholder will have excellent communications skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work on their own initiative in a fast-paced environment. Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community and move towards greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. The position is in Tower Hamlets and consists of one high support building with 20 flats and two low support buildings with 20 lower support flats spread over two sites within close proximity.

We’re recruiting 2 new Pathway Coordinators to join our Wellbeing Collaborative Team, who will work with us over the next 12 months as we work closely with our health and local authority colleagues to develop new ways of working in the acute and reablement hospitals across Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole.

Role Purpose:

As the Pathway Coordinator – Hospital Discharge you will work closely with colleagues within the Wellbeing Collaborative and across the organisation, to develop and deliver our innovative offer in the acute hospitals and community reablement across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, to co-create local solutions enabling the community to better access the support the voluntary and community sector (VCS) has to offer.

The role will see you: 

• Interact with patients on a face-to-face basis, actively listen and understand their needs ahead of leaving hospital.
• Provide connection to appropriate community support, ahead of discharge. Helping them to return home safely, avoid re-admittance and stay healthy and independent for longer.
• Following a referral from hospital teams, ahead of discharge.
• Develop relationships with professional teams including the Discharge Coordinators and Discharge Key Workers
• Engage in multi-disciplinary discussions in relation to community support available post discharge.
• Work with colleagues efficiently and effectively to distribute one-off wellbeing grants to enable discharge from hospital in a safe and timely manner.
• Identify and highlight gaps in provision at point of discharge from hospital, and work with community groups to identify how best they could support.
• Support the team in the trialling of integrated volunteering into community wellbeing pathways.
• Work as part of the team on a duty roster for a minimum 2 days a week signposting people and professionals to relevant local community service providers.
• Work with the team to monitor and evaluate the Wellbeing Collaborative to ensure our objectives are achieved and evidenced.
• Support the Pathway Coordinator Team Lead to implement a robust and effective communications strategy which not only champions and promotes the work CAN does but also its members.
• Champion the CAN membership and the support we can provide to communities and grassroots groups as well as to our statutory colleagues.
• Maintain a good level of understanding and information on related CAN services and work closely with other colleagues across the organisation to represent the wider organisation at community events.
