This is a new role giving you the opportunity and responsibility to build on our successful fundraising and extend our appeal to new donors as well as maintain our existing supporters. You will need demonstrable fundraising experience and the ability to work confidently as a strategic thinker and as a practical fundraiser. You will hit the ground running and come with strong ideas and skills to implement them.
As head of fundraising you will work closely with the CEO to grow charitable income and philanthropic support from governments, individuals, trusts and foundations, corporate companies and other areas. You will help her drive the charity's work forward and work closely with our project teams and see the direct impact of your efforts.
You will have developed your portfolio of fundraising skills over time within charities that work for social good and can demonstrate experiene in securing fundraising income particularly in securing five and six figure grants/donations. Experience of securing statutory funding will be essential. You will have experience of line managing junior fundraising staff and will be keen to develop your managerial responsibility.
You will be a confident and capable leader who will work with colleagues towards supporting an annual programme of circa £3m. This role is crucial to building the charity's long-term sustainability, with a focus on exploring innovative opportunities.

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation in the next five years, our fundraising operations team, consisting of database and supporter care functions, will play a key role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.
The Head of Fundraising Operations will enable fundraising operations to keep pace with the growth in income, futureproofing systems to ensure effective co-ordination and organisation to underpin fundraising activity, as well as delivering on an incredible supporter experience. With a new CRM in place, the role will design and implement a range of systems/processes, maximising the capabilities of the database. Working closely with internal teams including finance, the role will support external-facing fundraisers to achieve their targets, through excellence in data quality and the highest standards in supporter care.
About You
You will use your excellent interpersonal and motivational leadership skills to develop and support team members to deliver their best work. Your exceptional communication skills and the capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines will be valuable. You will have experience of thriving in a fast-paced fundraising environment, with experience of creating and implementing systems and processes for others to use. With excellent Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of how databases work in a fundraising environment, it is desirable that you have experience of MS Dynamics. Having worked with finance teams, you will be confident in delivery of income and activity reporting. Knowledge of relevant legislation and fundraising regulations for all forms of fundraising is essential.
Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership, Strategy and Planning
- Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering fundraising operations and supporter stewardship
- Lead the development of the data and supporter services strategy
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of efficient fundraising operations, including MS Dynamics processes, finance and activity reporting and making sure that the Fundraising Team have easy access to accurate information at all times.
- Collaborate with the Director, Deputy Director and Heads of teams to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising strategy.
- Working with the Head of Technology, integrate systems and proactively stay ahead of emerging trends and horizon scanning to ensure MAP’s fundraising operations takes forward the latest developments.
Budgets
- Create and manage annual and three-year rolling budgets for fundraising operations.
- ·Lead on the tender and appointment of suppliers who will partner on our fundraising operations and supporter services function.
Compliance and reporting
- Ensure all our fundraising operations remain compliant, following guidance from the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Information Commissioner’s Office (Data Protection) and the Fundraising Regulator, as well as embedding best practice.
- Establish and maintain effective systems for donor and prospect pipeline management and provide regular management reports to the Fundraising Heads to enable them to assess fundraising progress, reallocate resources and ensure we meet our income and activity targets.
- Support the Director and Fundraising leads in KPI reporting to the Senior Management Team and the Board of Trustees.

We are looking for a Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join our busy team. This entry-level role will work across our organisation and the successful candidate will gain valuable experience in fundraising, event planning and management and marketing.
Children and Families Across Borders will be marking our 70th anniversary in 2024 and will be using this special occasion to leverage funds and raise our profile.

In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for some administrative functions including updating our CRM database, prospect research and collecting data on our services.
This role is being funded by the Rank Foundation’s Time to Shine programme. This is a leadership programme to address both the increasing demands of the social sector to improve business capability skills and to address the wide-spread challenge of under-employment faced by many people.

Royal Trinity Hospice, the UK’s oldest hospice, serves 750,000 people in central and southwest London, delivering specialist end-of-life and palliative care, including support for families. Success relies on the Compton fundraising team achieving ambitious funding targets. The In Memory and Legacy Manager is a vital role, leading on two of the largest income lines for our client.
The role will focus on further development of our In Memory campaigns and events, legacy marketing and promotion as well and working with a specialist colleague to manage legacy administration.
The legacy promotion aspects of the role will include plans to maximise results from a national TV and media campaign in 2025 in collaboration with HospiceUK.
This role is centred around delivering excellent donor care and stewardship to those closest to Trinity, innovative and creative thinking and strong relationship management skills.
The successful candidate will line manage two team members, an In Memory and Legacy Executive and a Legacy Administrator.
As an In Memory and Legacy Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop Trinity’s in memory giving products and events, including the annual Light up a Life concert and Summer Solstice remembrance evening.
- Lead and develop legacy marketing strategies and products, and develop new legacy giving promotion events.
- Manage legacy administration, including maintaining and monitoring the legacy income pipeline, and assisting with practical legacy administration tasks.
- Develop and review regularly income and expenditure budgets and income forecasting.
- Deliver excellent stewardship for newly bereaved supporters and longstanding in memory and legacy supporters.
- Maintain excellent internal relationships with Fundraising colleagues, and the Communications team, as well as the Hospice clinical teams.
- Collaborate with the Communications Team to build promotional strategies.
