The Direct Marketing Executive will be a key role within the Acquisition & Development Team, supporting the team and its activities as a whole, but also owning and becoming the expert in specific areas in line with the Fundraising Strategy. Specific areas of focus currently are around digital acquisition, and with a particular focus on ensuring detailed tracking and reporting are in place for all campaigns across the team.
This role sits within the Individual Giving and Legacy team reporting to the Development Lead. It also works closely with the wider Acquisition & Development Manager, the wider Fundraising Division, and cross functionally with other teams within the organisation.

JOB PURPOSE

Overall purpose
This is a key role that will work closely with the Senior Communications Manager, Head of Public Engagement and Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

As a Customer Services and Central Administration Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with a professional and efficient service. You’ll handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure that every customer has a positive experience with contacting the MS Society. You’ll also be responsible for processing a wide range of different income types and supporting with the reconciliation process.

You will be working with supporters to answer their questions about legacy and in-memory giving, and working with the next of kin to ensure that their loved one's legacy is cherished.
We are looking for a creative thinker that has enthusiasm and motivation to lead these areas of work. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as being a collaborative team member. You will be supported by the Head of Public Fundraising to achieve transformational results across Individual Giving and Legacies. General Duties:
1. To promote the programmes of work and manage the external and internal referral process including the assessment of need, risk and safeguarding concerns.
2. Hold a caseload of 4 families delivering “whole family” or targeted interventions.
3. Lead and facilitate community group work programmes including 6 #CapeAbility in Schools programme which aims to build resilience and self-esteem for children in key stage 2.
4. Lead and facilitate groupwork programmes for parents such Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities and Child Overcoming Domestic Abuse.
5. Safeguard the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults you work with directly and take appropriate action if escalation is needed.
6. To provide practical and emotional support to families or advocacy and signposting to specialist and universal services where appropriate.
7. Ensuring that the voices and views of children and young people are sought, heard and represented appropriately.
8. Attend designated meetings with multi-agency professionals and act as lead professional where appropriate to support the Team Around the Child/Family or Early Help Assessment (EHA).

World Obesity Federation is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team as maternity cover.
World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.
This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.
Also working with Head of Policy on medium sized events such as the Global Obesity Forum in person in New York in September 2025, and other smaller policy and fundraising meetings throughout the year. Also included in the role is managing webinars for World Obesity Day and other campaign days.
It will also involve managing the planning of the bi-annual congress the International Congress on Obesity to be held in Mexico City June 2026, overseeing the work of the PCO and organising committees to ensure development is on schedule and key milestones are achieved.
Essential skills and experience - experience of managing medium sized global events and conferences on an international scale, working with global stakeholders. Excellent administration and organisational skills, right to work in the UK and able to travel internationally on a regular basis.
