Since 1991 we have reduced the rate of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome by 82% and saved the lives of over 32,000 babies. But our work is not over, as three babies still die suddenly and unexpectedly a week.
The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is an integral role within our Income and Engagement Team. We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled fundraiser with a passion for securing five and six-figure donations from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies.
The post-holder should be driven to support the work of the charity to continue saving babies’ lives, and supporting bereaved families, and be motivated by our values by being Caring, Reassuring, Driven and Trustworthy in everything they do.
The post-holder will have excellent communication and relationship-building skills and will be able to manage a wide-ranging portfolio of funders, and the prospect pipeline from start to finish. A key to achieving this will be embedding a deep understanding of The Lullaby Trust’s impact.
In this role you will be:

- Working with the wider team to deliver to income targets
This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary.

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Team Manager, with extensive experience of working with adults with a learning disability/autism and complex needs to join Outward.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager wanting to further utilise their skills in coaching and mentoring the staff team, and embedding high standards in the running of the service. You will be managing our Autism Outreach Service that provides support to people in seven London Boroughs, and who live at home with family or in supported living services. Therefore, the ability to promote positive working relationships with family and stakeholders is essential to this role. You will be responsible for managing and motivating your staff team to provide creative and flexible services that makes a positive difference to the lives of those we support, and enables them to thrive and enjoy a good quality of life as active and valued members of their community.

You will be supported by two deputy managers to lead a large team of community outreach support workers, to ensure a high standard of quality support to the people we support.
About the role
· You will assess new referrals, develop, and manage comprehensive support & risk management plans.
· You will be required to build and maintain strong relationships and partnership approach with families and professionals/stakeholders.
· You will develop, coach and mentor a positive and resilient team of support workers and deputies to deliver high quality and personalised support and embed a culture of positive behaviour support.
· You will be responsible for ensuring support is delivered innovatively, flexibly and on a person - centred basis to meet the needs and outcomes of the people supported.
· You will be responsible for delivering the service within budget and within expected performance indicators including delivering on outcomes for the people supported
· You will be responsible for ensuring the service is safe, effective, caring, well led, responsive and managed to meet CQC essential standards to a minimum of good service and with aim of achievement of outstanding.
· You will line manage and work with the deputy managers to meet the growth targets for the service
· You will be responsible to provide management support to Outreach services across a number of boroughs
· You will mentor and support the team to create support plans and risk assessments that reflect people’s needs, preferences and aspirations, ensuring that plans are actively implemented and reviewed.

About You
· You will have significant management experience of working in a similar setting.
Ideally you will have as a minimum:
o 3 years’ experience of delivering person centred support to people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern.
o A minimum of 1 years’ experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern
· You will hold a qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), NAPPI level 2 (or equivalent) or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 3 months of employment.
· You will be an excellent communicator liaising effectively with key stakeholders including the multi-disciplinary and health professionals, family carers and people we support.
· You will have experience of staff management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop a large team, ensuring staff are appropriately trained. You will be visible in the service and strive to model best practice and inspire support workers.
· You will be able to think creatively and be adaptable in approaches, with experience of implementing emergency management guidance to support staff.
· Experience of carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans for people with behaviours of concern. Be committed to include the person and their circle of support at all times.
· The ability to deliver a creative and flexible service that make a positive difference to people’s lives, in accordance with an individual support plans, the service specification and CQC requirements

About The Role
Our team currently consists of 10 dedicated staff members and is led by our CEO. The Communications Manager will be the focal point for internal and external communications, ensuring that BAUS is professionally and consistently represented as a dynamic membership organisation both internally by members and externally when dealing with partners, suppliers, sponsors and allied organisations.
This is a new post and, as such, the Communications Manager should expect to take a hands-on, adaptable approach to developing this exciting role within the wider BAUS team.

Remote based with travel, part-time role - an exciting opportunity - at a busy, dynamic and growing cancer charity – as part of ABC UK's Patient Support Programme.
Part-time flexible (likely minimum 18.5 Hrs p/w), salary £27,000 pro-rata, 20 days annual leave pro-rata, 3-month probationary period.
Bladder cancer is not a rare cancer – but it does have a low profile, lack of awareness, low research investment and desperately needs new treatments. Over 22,000 people are diagnosed each year in the UK – there is a high level of recurrence. There is a lack of information and support for patients. With your help, Action Bladder Cancer UK can radically improve this.
The role
ABC UK is an established charity, with exciting new projects. We have an active network of volunteers, a full time Chief Executive and core staff and a range of project staff. You will report to Chief Executive ABC UK and will work closely with our ABC UK Patient Support team, ABC UK trustees and patient volunteers.
The role supports ABC UK’s core Patient Support Programme. We provide information and support for those with bladder cancer, a direct patient support service, help establish and sustain support groups for bladder cancer patients, provide patient information about bladder cancer to patients and major centres of bladder cancer treatment, and run bladder cancer information events (both online and face to face). We also work to increase our networks with health professionals, to help them support their patients. We run the ABC UK Education Programme for health professionals and you will be involved in planning and delivering nurse education events. We want to build our networks both regionally and nationally and to be responsive to the need for information, awareness and support for those with bladder cancer, and the health professionals treating them. We now want to add to the team to increase our impact even further.
You will work remotely, however very much working as part of the Patient Support team, and working closely with other colleagues and volunteers, with regular catch-up meetings (online) and occasional face to face team meetings. You will also be required to travel as necessary for meetings and patient or health professional events and to help create and sustain our networks with health professionals and cancer support services. You will be based in the North of England and within easy travelling distance of centres such as Sheffield, Leeds, Hull and further North and adjacent counties. We may consider candidates outside of these regions, if they have directly appropriate experience and skills.
Who we are looking for…
You will be in contact with a range of different people including volunteers, patients, health professionals and other organisations. The successful candidate will:
- be friendly and approachable, able to work flexibly, with resilience and efficiency and to be professional at all times and be able to work to our very high standards;
- be empathetic and understanding of the needs of cancer patients and how best to deliver this in practical terms;
- ideally have some health service or charity experience - not essential but preferable;

Skills
You will need to:
- be able to communicate effectively with health professionals, other charity professionals and bladder cancer patients both face to face and via phone or email;

Key Responsibilities
Networking
- Contact point for Hospitals/Urology Depts/Cancer Centres. Making pro-active contact and arranging supply of bladder cancer patient information and building relationships on a regional basis;
- Building contacts with specialist urology/cancer nurses, making them aware of ABC UK and our resources;
- Maintaining up-to-date contact database: including major urology departments, cancer centres, regional cancer networks etc;
- Regional contacts (working with volunteer patient advisors) – including regional cancer networks/charities etc – to build local networks;
- Co-ordinating periodic mailings of ABC UK patient information materials to hospitals/urology services (mailing handled by central admin).
Events
- ABC UK runs both face to face and online events. Organising and attending ABC UK patient and health professional events, working as part of a team with other ABC UK Patient Support Officers and volunteers;
- Occasional attendance at/involvement with regional cancer events, health professional and/or patient or well-being events (including taking the ABC UK stand to such events);
- You will also be required to present at events on occasion – both online and face to face;
- Organising, development of (with colleagues) and participation in ABC UK online patient events and face to face events, and ABC UK health professional events both online and face to face.
Patient Support Groups
ABC UK works to help set up and maintain support groups for bladder cancer patients – these groups are self-running, often linked to a major hospital.
- Help maintain database of Groups: contact details, details of meeting etc – including information for updating ABC UK website and ABC UK social media;
- Acting as ABC UK contact point for bladder cancer patient support groups, including making presentations;
- Pro-actively maintaining regular contact with PSG’s – re supply of ABC UK materials, updating info, ascertaining needs re other materials or support required and developing best practice case studies;
- Working with health professionals wanting to set up new groups, periodically attending group meetings and meeting volunteers.
Patient Materials
Working with ABC UK Executive, ABC UK Patient Support team and patient volunteers on the development of patient information materials both on-line and in print.
Communications
- News Updates: contributing as part of a team on regular news updates for health professionals, support groups and patients;
- Social media: working as part of a team on increasing ABC UK social media presence.

We are now seeking a Communications and Campaigns Manager who will be a creative thinker able to Think Big and Act Wild whilst managing the timely and effective delivery of communications campaigns, projects and events, increasing our advocacy and fundraising impact.
The post holder will be a strong planner, organiser, pro-active team player and hands-on campaigner. You’ll be a key member of the Communications and Engagement team and use your strong collaborative skills to work effectively with our Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams to create powerful, transformative communications and campaigns.

Line Manager: Director of Communications and Engagement
Line Management Responsibilities: No line management. The post holder will have responsibility for maintaining management of freelancers, agencies and partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
Communications campaign development and management:
- Develop and project manage a programme of integrated communication campaigns that grab attention and encourage action across rewilding practice, policy and fundraising.
- Work closely with the Communications and Engagement team to develop aligned messaging and campaign assets and to deliver these across owned, earned and paid channels.
- Lead on the creation of compelling campaign assets and content (e.g. polls, petitions, online actions and campaign toolkits).

- Organise, plan and deliver our involvement at online and in person events that will help to encourage action across rewilding practice, policy and fundraising (e.g. exhibition stands at party political conferences or corporate fundraising events).
- Design, deliver and project manage cross-organisational communication activities which will raise the profile of Rewilding Britain (e.g.World Rewilding Day, anniversary events).
- Support the Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams with the communication requirements for events (e.g. Rewilding Network conferences, fundraising dinners, panel debates, report launches).
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Work closely with the Catalyse, Influence and Fundraising teams to integrate campaign efforts and identify the relevant campaign issues, priorities and opportunities for influencing policy, fundraising and Network membership growth.
- Support the broader Communications and Engagement team to implement strategically aligned locally focused communications activities, projects and events for England, Scotland or Wales.

Ideal candidate
- This role is ideal for a research manager with extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and strong program or project management skills.
- Experience in UX design, marketing, or behaviour change research is advantageous.
- The ideal candidate enjoys managing projects from start to finish and is adept at handling complex stakeholder relationships.
The Research Manager will be part of a small but highly respected team, including the Head of Research and Insight and the Senior Insight and Evaluation Manager. Given the team's geographical spread, a preference for remote work is beneficial.

Our department supports the professional development of employees and volunteers in rescues and rehoming organisations, as well as provides strategic funding and support to organisations and researchers within the animal welfare sector.
The Lead of Grants and Programmes plays an integral role within the team to deliver impact to tens of thousands of dogs and cats around the world. The Lead will manage the team of expert grant managers, guiding and empowering them to achieve impact.
The Lead will oversee several portfolios of work within the grants and programmes function at Battersea, as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. Over the coming five years, it is planned that the size and complexity of grant making, and other forms of programming will grow, including the establishment of several multi-year programmes in the UK and abroad.
This is a senior role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of people management, impact measurement, good grant making practice and implementing strategic programmes.
The successful postholder should be comfortable empowering others, taking a coaching approach to team management and in supporting the team to shape proposals and portfolios of work to advance the collective interests of a team. They should also be comfortable working with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues as an integral element of the role.
