Taking referrals from GP practices, you’ll work with adult mental health patients to identify what is affecting their health and wellbeing. You’ll then work with them to create a personalised support plan to improve resilience, health and wellbeing. You’ll find services and activities that offer practical, social and emotional support, working as a team with other healthcare professionals who may provide more traditional medical interventions.
This might mean connecting people with art classes, walking groups or gardening clubs, or it could be signposting to more practical support, such as services providing advice on debt or housing issues. It’s essential that you can listen carefully, build relationships, and motivate people to make choices and changes about the things that matter to them.
The position is based in Sheppey and applicants must have experience of working with adults in a medical or social care setting, and of providing mental health support. Additional experience of providing mental health support to children and young people would be an advantage as a small number of referrals are from this group.

Role Overview:

This role supports the effective management of supporter and membership data, playing a crucial role in the smooth operation of membership systems and processes. About the Service
Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.
We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.
At the Crisis Cafes we promote and enable people to access support in a way that suits them, whether that’s through talking to someone or simply by providing a safe space to have time alone or engage with trained staff.
About the Role
Mental Healthcare Support Workers are key members of staff delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Service, taking part in a rota covering 7 days per week, ensuring the delivery of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the crisis cafe and helpline provision. Working closely with other staff (bank staff, volunteers), coordinators, team leaders and Crisis manager to ensure services are of the highest quality and support the continued growth and development of the service.
By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.
Whilst experience is advantageous, the most important thing to us and the people we support is having the right values, skills and commitment to delivering high quality, person centred mental health crisis support.

What you'll do:
Payroll
Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off

Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated

Direct Support to Carers:
- Deliver comprehensive carer assessments in line with the Care Act 2014, and co-produce tailored support plans

At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future. We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.
This post will provide high-quality support to the technology and operations of the organisation, to ensure the smooth running of the main site and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations. The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.
General Requirements
● To support the delivery of Youth Action Alliance
● To ensure a friendly, professional and informative service to all visitors and stakeholders, ensuring that any enquiries are responded to sensitively and appropriately
● To maintain a diary and manage all incoming calls and all correspondence
● To develop good working relationships across all YAA teams and external partners
● To attend and support meetings including minuting (including evening, weekend and events as/when required)
● To collate and maintain all documentation relating to the business
● To act as a point of contact to all Board of trustees, staff, participants and stakeholders
● To deal with supplier queries in a timely and professional manner and follow up on any rejected or unprocessed payments
● To manage office maintenance including ordering equipment, stationery and products needed for the day-to-day running of YAA
● To be the appointed Fire Marshall of YAA and oversee all Fire Safety duties and training
● To be the appointed First Aid Officer on-site and to ensure all members of staff are First Aid trained
● To oversee the Health and Safety of YAA and ensure all aspects are attended to in line with the YAA Health and safety Policy and PPE in line with COVID-19 guidance.
● Maintaining risk assessment and action logs
● To ensure the main office is kept clean, tidy and presentable
● To maintain the Memberships master sheet and contracts
● To create and maintain the security of all sensitive data in accordance with YAA Data Protection Policy including filing system and database of shared drive and in-house hard copies
● To manage referrals in and out of YAA
● To closely work with and support the CEO to support in their work duties
● To add participants, staff and registers of all projects to inhouse software and run reports from the system as/when required
● To coordinate and deliver inductions to new starters, ensuring all staff are DBS checked and all training certificates are updated as required
● To liaise with the CEO to ensure all staff, facilitator and contractors' contracts/SLAs are up-to-date
● To process all organisational income and expenditure and maintain and update all financial documentation accurately
● To assist and support all staff with the smooth operation of all finance matters
● To provide accounts against budgets for the Board of Trustee meeting
● Data analysis, reporting and using the data that we collect to help YAA fulfil its aims and evidence impact

Person Specification
Essential
● A college equivalent qualification
● Experience in developing and implementing administrative systems
● Able to work independently or as part of a team.
● Good Organisational and administrative skills and experience
● Database experience – experience in managing and administering databases, or a willingness to learn
● Excellent time-keeper and manages own time effectively to keep to deadlines
● Ability to work calmly and efficiently whilst managing complex workloads
● Attention to detail – being able to provide accurate and up-to-date information is critical.
● A positive, solution-focussed approach and a can-do attitude towards work

This role is a new post within our Fundraising and Communications team and an exciting opportunity to shape a growing area of our work. The successful candidate will have some experience of working on a range of events, ideally challenge and sports fundraising, including tasks such as participant recruitment, tracking income, contributing to supporter journeys and assisting with event day activities.

This role plays a part in our fundraising and communications team helping us to meet our fundraising targets and drive growth in both our responsive and strategic communications.

he Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. We are also responsible for looking after our properties, which includes maintaining oversight of two commercial leases, and maintaining Dartmouth House which is a grade II* listed events venue and our Head Office in Mayfair.
Purpose of this role
The Business Support Administrator will provide high quality support to the Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees, and the Chief Operating Officer. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Director General.
Responsibilities and Expectations

Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Chief Operating Officer, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Coordinate the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings.

Monitor and report on progress against Board and Committee actions, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery

Support the delivery of the annual Board effectiveness review, gathering feedback and helping to implement improvements.

As the Director of Governance and Assurance, you will provide sector-leading company secretariat, governance, and assurance, ensuring the governance structure efficiently manages regulated activities and commercial group entities. The post-holder will also advise and support the Chief Executive, Chair, and SLT on all aspects of regulation, corporate governance, and effective business conduct for the organisation, ensuring the highest standards of probity and according to statutory and legislative requirements.
The Director of Governance and Assurance will oversee risk management and assurance functions, ensuring effective systems for internal controls and regulatory compliance, including internal audit management.
