About us
Who we are
Rebuild East Midlands exists to support individuals who have experienced human trafficking and modern slavery to overcome the barriers that they might face in starting a new life, free from exploitation and slavery.
Our culture and values
Rebuild East Midland’s organisation values are at the core of all that we do. Our values are:
-
We are future focussed: Together with our staff, volunteers and those we work with we intentionally set ambitious goals in pursuit of a better future.
-
We are consistent: We take a consistent approach and response to all areas of our work.
-
We focus on the individual: Valuing every individual and their uniqueness, we seek to understand, respect and embrace the backgrounds and experiences of every individual.
-
We are flexible: We are constantly evolving, thinking creatively, seeing potential and embracing a flexible approach to all aspects of our work.
-
We promote empowerment: We work with individuals to shape their support, to develop their resilience and support the choices and decisions they make themselves. We take a position of learning from those with lived experience to inform what we do.
Equality, diversity and inclusion policy
Rebuild East Midlands is dedicated to providing long-term support to survivors of modern slavery in a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment. We recognise the inherent worth and dignity of every individual and are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work.
The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative of all sections of society and the individuals that we work with, and for each employee and volunteer to feel respected and able to give their best. We aim to provide a culture where respect and understanding is fostered and the diversity of peoples’ backgrounds and experiences is positively valued.
