Job Title: Senior Programme Officer (South East) National Education Nature Park
Location: Home-based (within South East), Hybrid with regular travel across South East. Potential to work from RHS Wisley

The National Education Nature Park launched in October 2023 - a new Department for Education funded programme empowering young people (from Early Years through to Further Education) to take action on the environment as part of new measures designed to put climate change at the heart of education.
Sitting within the RHS Learning division, as South East Senior Programme Officer for the National Education Nature Park you will:
- Develop and deliver a regional strategy that meets overarching programme KPIs on settings engaging with the programme
- Build and access networks that support education settings to connect with nature through the programme, and build skills for engaging and influencing on the value of outdoor learning and improving biodiversity on the education estate
- Manage a programme officer to enable a broad range of schools and education settings to participate in the programme. As a regional team you will work to establish widespread, meaningful and sustained engagement with the programme
- Connect with senior school leaders across the region to engage them with the programme. You will develop partnerships and networks at a regional level with local authorities, businesses, and organisations in the education and charity sectors to provide additional support for schools and help sustain them on their Nature Park journey.
- Working with the multidisciplinary programme partnership to provide on the gorund insights and testing of programme elements
- Raise awareness of the RHS National Education Nature Park grant programme

About National Education Nature Park
National Education Nature Park is a partnership project led by the Natural History Museum, working with the Royal Horticultural Society, the Royal Society, Royal Geographical Society, Learning through Landscapes, Manchester Metropolitan University and additional supporting partners.
The National Education Nature Park will engage children, young people and their educators with nature, supporting young people in England to play a driving role in mapping and monitoring biodiversity on their grounds using citizen science and, critically, taking action to enhance it.
From creating pollinator friendly habitats where biodiversity can thrive, to digging ponds, or creating planting schemes that support climate resilience, the project will showcase what can be achieved on the Education estate.
The Nature Park will also provide opportunities for young people to take part in community science, identifying local impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss and developing key skills to solve these problems.
Within the project RHS lead on regional support, the National Education Nature Park grant programme and Programme Development.

Why am I needed?
Our shops depend on a regular supply of quality donated stock. As some shops receive more donations than others, we need drivers to move stock between our shops to ensure they are all fully stocked.
Our fantastic supporters rely on stock donations being collected from their door when they are unable to bring it to us. Here at Tenovus Cancer Care we receive donated stock in many different ways, and this includes us collecting stock from supporters at their front door and picking up collections from local business partners.
All of this vital work needs to happen for us to raise more money to help cancer patients and their families.
What will I be doing?
Dependant on your volunteer location, duties may include but may not be limited to:
Predominantly assisting the Retail team in moving stock between shops
Taking this donated stock to shops and to the Warehouse
Delivering donation bags to homes in selected areas and collecting the full bags on an agreed day
Collecting donations at businesses where our ‘Donation Stations’ are located
Offering feedback to the Retail team on how to improve the collections service.
What skills and qualities do I need?
An enthusiasm for the work of Tenovus Cancer Care
A good level of fitness and enjoy being outside
Good communication skills to be able to respond positively with any queries from members of the pubic
Reliability, honesty and like helping as part of a team
This role would suit a proactive and outgoing person who enjoys meeting with others
The ability to drive and have a good size car or van is essential for the driving role if based at one of our shops. You will need to check with your car insurers that you are insured for business use before starting with us (this can usually be arranged at no extra cost) and your driving licence and business insurance will need to be checked before you can start.
How much time do I need to commit?
This can be discussed with the Retail team and hours are very flexible to fit around you – please note on your application how much time you can give.
What support and training will I be given?
A dedicated member of staff will be on hand to offer you advice, support and guidance in your role.

Where will I be based?
You’ll be based at one of our Tenovus Cancer Care shops across Wales and England, with regular travel around agreed areas. You must have access to your own vehicle.

We help thousands of cats across the UK each year thanks to our network of dedicated volunteers, staff and supporters.
A bit about this role
Unfortunately thousands of cats each year are abandoned or have strayed and rely on charities like Cats Protection for help. Becoming a TNR volunteer is one way you can make a real difference to cats in your local area. Our TNR volunteers help reduce the number of feral cats by raising awareness of our TNR programmes, setting humane traps to safely capture cats, taking them to local vets to be neutered, and hopefully returning them back to their territory. Local TNR programmes are crucial, as feral and abandoned cats present a huge challenge for communities across the UK.
What can you expect to be doing?
- Trapping cats using humane methods
- Taking cats to local vets to be neutered
- Returning cats to their territory or finding a suitable alternative
The role might also include:
- Regular feeding of feral colonies
- Promoting neutering by building relationships with farmers, land owners and local businesses
- Liaising with vets to promote and arrange neutering

Run by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers, we are dedicated to improving the lives of local cats and kittens, to find loving new homes for cats in our care, offering support with neutering, and lost and found cats, as well as general education and awareness within the Framlingham & Saxmundham area.

Time expectation
This is a flexible role and the hours will vary depending on the number of cats identified for specific TNR campaigns. Our current TNR volunteers spend about 2 to 3 hours per week in this role which can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Overview

The Role
As a GLD participant, you'll engage in four hours of local on-site tasks in addition to four hours

children, teens, and university students

Eligibility
The program calls for a college diploma or university degree and a minimum commitment of
four months, although we encourage volunteers to stay for up to one year. All volunteers enjoy
one day off per week and a four-day holiday per month.

Volunteering as part of our Cycle Hire addition to Ickworth's Visitor Experience, this role is to shape and develop the cycling culture at Ickworth and support with customer service as well as hiring out bikes.

What's involved:
To support the Cycle Hire Supervisor in the day to day running of the cycle hire hub
- Meeting and greeting visitors and understanding their requirements
- Following the protocols for hiring and returning bikes
- Sizing bikes for visitors and supporting with trailer and balance bike hire
- Helping visitors navigate and plan their cycle route across the estate
- Basic bike repairs (if you can, training can be provided)
- Supporting housekeeping, cleanings equipment and facilities for use
- Developing a cycling culture across the Ickworth Team
- Being part of the ideas team for what else Ickworth can offer as part of our cycling offer
*As part of this role you will have the opportunity to learn basic cycle maintenance, but it is your choice if you opt in to taking on this training and no one should attempt to fix an Ickworth bike without having this training signed off*

Role Overview: As a Business Coordinator Volunteer with RollaDome All Skate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our business development activities. This position offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of business administration, coordination, and project management. You will contribute directly to the efficiency of our business operations and the achievement of our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the coordination and implementation of business projects.
• Support the management of schedules and project timelines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Facilitate communication between different departments and external stakeholders.
• Help prepare and organize documents such as reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Participate in the development and monitoring of business processes and systems.
• Engage in research and analysis to support business initiatives and strategy development.
• Contribute to the organization of professional events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
• Provide administrative support as needed, including data entry, file management, and correspondence handling.
Qualifications:
