Live Music Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Music Coordinator in the North of England to support the delivery of live music experiences improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

This is remote working role in the North of England, so please only apply if you live within a commutable distance of the area.

Position: Live Music Coordinator

Location: Remote based in the North of England (Yorkshire and Humberside, North West or North East).

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £23,400 per annum

Contract: Fixed term contract until end of June 2025, with the potential to extend beyond this date.

The Role

The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.

You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Coordination of the live music programme
• Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required
• Inform the Live Music Manager of progress and developments
• Support the Live Music Manager to manage and deliver services
• Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians
• Ensure effective administration in accordance with the UK-wide system for facilitating and contracting of individual health and care settings and musicians
• Provide copy for publications such the newsletter and Annual Report.
• Support Safeguarding and Health and Safety compliance within geographic area of responsibility

About You

You will have proven administration experience ideally delivering a similar provision within health and social care or arts setting and a passion for live music.

You will have:

• Effective communication skills

• Proven ability to form good working relationships both internally and externally with people on all levels

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery. 

Duties and responsibilities 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
• Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.  
• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.
• Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.

Qualifications and experience criteria:

About the Role

The Programmes Coordinator will promote and deliver successful activities based around Depaul’s national Programmes strategy in the North East region. The focus of this role is to organize and deliver progression opportunities for people, supporting them to realise their ambitions in education training, volunteering or employment.

This will be achieved with the support of volunteers recruited from both the local community and Depaul’s young people (clients), working flexibly across the North East team. The coordinator will be brokering and supporting internal (Depaul based) activities and external (community-based) progression opportunities for young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness across the North East team.

· Organise, promote and deliver sessions and programmes to support people in education, training, volunteering or employment outcomes.

· Promote and deliver the AQA Unit Award Scheme to people to support their progression.

· Promote and support the awarding of Depaul’s internal grants to people to enable their progression.

· Develop and deliver partnerships with organisations who can support Depaul clients in their progression into ETE and volunteering.

· Design, deliver and ensure a range of training opportunities are delivered.

Job Purpose

Key Tasks include:

Staff management and training

SafeLives is very proud of its reputation for high quality training and operational programmes, and your role in maintaining our standards for learners and stakeholders will be vital.

As a Training and Engagement Coordinator to the Scotland Team, you will provide effective and efficient co-ordination of resources and support, primarily related to our accredited courses, Idaa and DACA, as well as our open course and bespoke training, when capability allows. You will work alongside the Training Lead and Senior Training and Engagement Coordinator and occasionally help support with our Safer, Sooner and Authentic Voice operational work.

This role is integral to our providing quality training across Scotland, influencing and enhancing the approach of professionals who come into contact with domestic abuse.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (3 days)

Contract: April 2026 with the possibility of extension

Location: UK based, remote (with occasional fully imbursed travel in Scotland and wider UK and, where candidate is England-based, expected occasional working from Bristol office)
