About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation in the next five years, the principal gifts manager will play a key role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Principal Gifts Manager to lead the development and implementation of our major donor programme. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, you will create strategic plans to identify, cultivate, and steward a portfolio of high-value donors, securing five- and six-figure gifts. You’ll manage a pipeline of prospective donors, analyse trends to shape the programme strategy, and deliver inspiring stewardship events. Additionally, you’ll oversee a small team of philanthropy officers, support their donor portfolios, and ensure the programme’s adherence to compliance, financial planning, and risk management practices.

You will have a proven track record of securing significant donations and delivering high-impact stewardship plans. Skilled in performance reporting, data analysis, and forecasting, you bring a strategic mindset to donor engagement. You’re highly proactive, with excellent networking, communication, and relationship-building skills. With experience managing donor events and managing multiple projects, you will be organised and results-driven.
Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
• Support on the development major donor program. Working alongside the Head of
Philanthropy to create a strategic plan that will identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a
portfolio of Major Donors in line the overall fundraising strategy.
• Develop a pipeline of new prospective donors, working alongside the Prospect research
manager.
• Monitor and analyse trends within major donor giving, both internally and externally, using
these findings to influence the direction of the programme.
• Manage and support two philanthropy officers to provide the best stewardship journeys for
their portfolio (please note the structure is under review and this is subject to change)
Relationship Development and Events
• Cultivate, engage and manage strong relationships with major donors with a focus on multiyear partnerships.
• Identify gaps in the product offering and work with the Head of Philanthropy to develop and
launch new products.
• Monitor, analyse and report on major donor programmes, adjusting plans and events based
on insights.
• Lead on the development of inspiring stewardship events that covey MAP’s work and
impact – inspiring major donors.
Budget Management, reporting and compliance
• Manage financial planning, reporting, and risk assessment for the Major Donor budget.
• Ensure that the Major Donor programme adheres to due diligence procedures.
• Utilise and maintain the CRM database to ensure accurate reporting and stewardship

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Equipping and Supporting Spear Centres
- Spend time in Spear Centres to build a presence and trust with the Spear coaches, in order to provide better employment support for trainees.
- Provide additional support to Spear Centres outside of London as they develop their own employer network and local employment events.
- Serving as a liaison between Resurgo, the employer and Spear Centres in collecting and sharing job descriptions, trainee CVs, interview feedback and handover documents for successful hires.
Account Management and Administration
- Conduct due diligence checks on potential employers.
- Sustain links with corporates, employers and charities in order to generate employment opportunities for young people.
- Research and compile the weekly employment email with current vacancies and opportunities (which includes all new Spear Streamlined Centres) and contribute ‘Job of the Week’ to the weekly Spear Bulletin.
- Manage bespoke recruitment processes and logistics.
- Monthly reporting for national employer partners.
- Attend select online and in-person youth employment events on behalf of Resurgo and the Spear Programme.
- Support the wider Corporate and Employer Partnerships team in administrative tasks.
Support the Coordination of Employer Events
- Help to deliver central (London-based) Hire Me events with mass employment opportunities.
- Equip Spear Centres to run their own local employment activities/events, including effective review processes after the events.
- Track success of central and local events and the impact on education, employment and training (EET) statistics.
- Work with the Employer Partnerships Manager to develop and coordinate employer-related events, such as Coffee and Connect, or organise site visits for employers to a Spear training room or an insight session with a Spear coach.
Spear Alumni Network Coordinator
- Develop and run an alumni network/platform for Spear completers, keeping them updated with further job opportunities and creating a continued sense of community.
- Work with the Resurgo Church Partnerships team to build a pipeline into the Spear Ambassadors group, giving Spear completers a voice in the continuous development of the Spear Programme and encouraging Spear completers to invite those they know to join Spear.
- With the Comms team, identify opportunities for Spear completers to become Brand Ambassadors who promote our work, ensuring success stories are celebrated and feeding into funding applications and reports.
Active participation in and support for Resurgo’s team and mission
- Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission.

Purpose of the role
As our 2020-25 strategy draws to a close, we are seeking a dynamic and insightful consultant(s) to provide expert strategy support and facilitation that will result in the development of Praxis’ next Strategic Plan 2026-31. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small but ambitious grassroots charity run by and for women seeking asylum. WAST has a proud track record of providing a safe space for women to come together in solidarity and campaign for justice in an increasingly hostile environment.
We are looking for the right person to work alongside WAST’s management group of women seeking asylum to successfully take forward WAST’s development priorities – supporting women through the asylum system, campaigning on the issues affecting them and supporting wellbeing through a trauma informed approach. You will work to maintain and develop WAST’s infrastructure and resources to ensure its continued strength and stability.
You will need to have relevant experience in charity or public sector management and fundraising, with a positive participatory leadership style. WAST has recently restructured and expanded its staffing team. As Manager, you will be assisted by two part-time coordinators: the Engagement and Programme Coordinator (an established member of staff) and a new Coordinator role, which you will be expected to help define and recruit.

WAST is run by and for women seeking asylum and currently has around 170 members. It was started in 2005 by WAST’s current Chair whilst fighting her own anti-deportation campaign and became a constituted charity in 2014. Its purpose remains to provide a safe space for women coming together in solidarity to offer support, share information and help each other to survive and to get their leave to remain in the UK. Women are at the sharp end of the ‘hostile environment’ with punitive government immigration policies and practice. WAST enables a process of empowerment through which women gain the confidence and strength to voice their experience and campaign for justice.
WAST is a place of hope and belonging with its core values of compassion, respect, inclusion and empowerment and its continuous development of its trauma informed peer support approach.
WAST is proud of its pioneering work giving a voice to women seeking asylum and inspiring other women around the country to set up similar groups. WAST has been at the forefront of national campaigning against detention, has published three books and created two plays, giving voice to women’s experiences.
Activities are led by the WAST Management Group elected by the membership and supported by WAST staff, currently a part-time Engagement and Programme Coordinator (and we will soon be recruiting for a second part-time coordinator role).

About the role:
We are looking for people interested in providing compassionate support to people affected by mental health problems. This includes supporting people with severe mental illness, and carers, families and friends. You will provide support by telephone, email and text, as well as forming a close team with our skilled volunteers, who you will help to oversee through their development.
SANEline Support Officers provide support to callers with a wide range of mental health problems, via our confidential crisis line, SANEline that is open 365 days a year.
The role would be for up to 5 days per week, a mixture of daytime shifts and frequent evening & weekend work to cover a 365 day service operating until 10.30pm.

About this role
The role of Health Engagement Worker will involve supporting a caseload of service users that are experiencing homelessness. The role requires the use of specialist knowledge and relationship skills to influence service users with varying degrees of mental health, addiction and trauma related issues to engage with health services.
This will include advocacy in registering them for medical services and accompanying them to appointments; assisting them in addressing all aspects of physical and mental health or substance addiction needs, as well as advocating or them to get access to source housing and social security benefits. Working collaboratively with our partners Arch Healthcare the role is dependent on good communication and joint working with a variety of partners and professionals.
The role requires a high degree of motivation to support complex and vulnerable people, often in a lone-working situation. With a passion to work collaboratively with others for the good of our service users, and with some experience of working in a related field in a voluntary or paid capacity.
A high degree of emotional intelligence is required to support service users, many of whom have complex emotional needs, with backgrounds of trauma, neglect, abuse, crime and low self-worth. A role of this nature will experience a range of emotions from joy to grief and as such requires a high degree of resilience to cope with the emotional demands of the role.
Making decisions, “in the moment” to do the right thing to mitigate risk with service users can place high emotional demands on the job holder.
