About the role
You’ll play a vital role in delivering an ambitious programme of policy and public affairs activity, influencing government, engaging key stakeholders and championing evidence-based policy informed by physiology. Working closely with the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, internal teams, Society members and global experts, your work will span issues such as precision medicine, climate change and health, and research funding. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the broader R&D and policy landscape while supporting a dynamic scientific community.

Key responsibilities include:

About you
You’ll be passionate about policy and science, with a strong understanding of how public affairs can influence change. You’ll also bring:

• A degree in life sciences, public policy, political science, or a related field

• Excellent communication and writing skills, including the ability to translate complex ideas clearly
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and representing the organisation externally

Desirable:

We are looking to recruit a CEO (Director) to support us in an exciting period of growth. Over the next 5 years, we will double our reach and impact. The CEO (Director) will lead us through this transformative period. 

Since 2011 Disability Africa has developed a model using playschemes as hubs to deliver essential lifesaving services to extremely vulnerable disabled children and to end their exclusion in low-income African communities. Using this model, we have worked with project partners in Kenya, The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Zambia. 680 disabled children have now attended our projects more than 90,000 times since 2011. Now the charity is planning to grow and expand with our 5-year plan (‘DA2029’) to replicate the Disability Africa Model to reach more disabled children across Africa.

By 2029 we will: 
• Start work with at least 4 new partners in Africa (as well as expected growth at our existing projects). 
• Deliver 160,000 attendances by at least 1,500 disabled children in 7 African countries. 
• Grow and reach as many disabled children as possible - we know we can’t do it all by ourselves - so we will engage other international NGOs to adopt our model of inclusion.

As Training Officer, you will:

Be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness-raising activities in relation to victims of crime in the Thames Valley.

You will deliver these to a range of audiences including Thames Valley Police, Criminal Justice agencies, educational facilities, community groups, and other statutory agencies and third sector organisations. Each training session will be tailored to your audience and some examples of training topics you will be focusing on are:

• Victim awareness (barriers to support, information on the Victims Code, promoting empathy and sensitivity etc.).
• Sexual Violence awareness
• Modern Slavery and Exploitation

The training will be delivered under the Thames Valley Victims First brand and you will spread awareness of how support can be accessed and what is available through your sessions.

You will lead on developing this new content for training in collaboration with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley. You will be consulting with stakeholders on their training needs and mapping emerging areas where further input is required. As part of the role, you will be responsible for developing the range of training programmes and keeping training materials up to date. You will maximise the use of social media accounts for training and will attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime. You will also work alongside both the RJ facilitator and volunteers in this area.

You will need to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the training requirements as well as experience of delivering presentations and structured training programmes and talks to a range of audiences. You will need to be IT literate and be effective with your communication.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. If you are unable to drive because of a disability please indicate this in your application in your personal statement so we can explore the feasibility of alternative arrangements. Travel will be required regularly across the Thames Valley in order to facilitate training development and delivery. We’re looking for a youth worker to lead our weekly educational youth club programme in Bournemouth. Delivered in partnership with International Care Network (ICN), sessions take place on a weekly basis between 4.30-7.30pm throughout the year including school holidays.

The role is six hours a week (three hours on a Wednesday at Club Class plus three hours a week for planning/prep/meetings).

Main purpose of the role:

The youth worker will plan, deliver and facilitate educational and cultural activities to separated children (16-21 years old) in the context of an interactive youth club held weekly in partnership with the ICN in Bournemouth. Although you will prepare and deliver the materials, you will be supported by our youth support worker and ICN support worker during the actual Club Class session. Plus one support worker from ICN and one staff member from Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole local authority (BCP LA) – usually a personal advisor or social worker.

Main duties:

• Research, plan and devise educational activities/classes for the weekly sessions based on our Club Class framework
• Deliver and facilitate the weekly Club Class with the support of our youth support worker and the ICN support worker.
• Source outside facilitators on occasion (on a voluntary basis) to deliver specialist sessions 
• Ensure sessions are young people-led and participants have an opportunity to input into future Club Class sessions using our participatory feedback mechanism 
• Provide emotional support and guidance to the group (please note this is not a casework role), referring individual young people to their case worker where one-to-one support is required.
• Ensure the highest level of safeguarding for the young people attending with adherence to The Separated Child Foundation’s safeguarding policy
• Work with the Programme Manager to evaluate Club Class with participants to ensure the sessions are appropriate and relevant to their needs, and propose amendments and improvements to the Club Class framework as required
• Gather feedback (anonymised where necessary) from participants to populate social media, support funding bids and include in programme management reporting
• Provide line manager with regular feedback on the sessions and future plans during routine catch up calls and Programme Manager in-person visits

Person Specification:

• Experience in planning and delivering youth-led interactive group workshops using varied techniques and approaches
• Experience of working with or supporting young people, preferably separated asylum seeking and refugee children and/or young people for whom English is not first language
• Qualification in Youth Work or comparable subject
• Awareness of the needs of young people, preferably separated asylum seeking and refugee children
• Awareness of safeguarding and child protection principles and practice

The Data Selections and Reporting Officer will work with teams across ARUK to deliver accurate data selections and segmentations for ARUK’s communications.  This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed briefs and deadlines.

This is an exciting time to join ARUK as we have launched Salesforce and use the Snowflake Data Cloud to develop our selections in.  We have bold plans for growth at ARUK and this role will have a key role in this as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Aid in the scheduling and delivery of data selections through the Selections Calendar to ensure clarity on what data selections are upcoming, managing any potential clashes and planning and prioritizing workload

· Produce data selections and segmentations in an accurate and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines

· Work with the Data Selections Manager to proactively identify ideas and opportunities to continuously improve campaign performance and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust

· Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief

· Adhere to a rigorous data selection process that guarantees the accurate delivery of selections

· Ensure the database is kept up to date with communications history and marketing coding as part of the data selection process

· Support teams in the delivery of end of campaign reporting, post-campaign analysis and the running of regular reports

· Work with Fundraising Teams, Digital Team and external agencies to ensure data selection file formats are delivered to specification

· Provide training and assistance to stakeholders to follow the data selection process

· Support the process of the annual planning of communication activity across fundraising teams

· Work with the wider Data and Analytics teams to ensure the necessary data is being captured to enable campaign analysis to be conducted

What we are looking for:

· Experience of using large relational databases and analysis packages

Your role 

You will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support CWNN’s fundraising strategy. You’ll work alongside our Development Manager to create compelling fundraising campaigns, content and communications, growing engagement from individuals, companies, community fundraisers and potential funders while simultaneously raising our profile among stakeholders through strategic communications and marketing plans. This work includes:   

• Support our Development Manager to create and deliver impactful and innovative fundraising strategies including our public appeals, challenge events and local fundraising campaigns.

• Developing and implementing communications strategies to promote CWNN’s work, managing our social media platforms and external comms to ensure they reflect our strategic goals and values.

• Producing our e-newsletter, with support from the Development team, to ensure CWNN’s key work, impact, news and campaigns are effectively promoted to our supporter base.

• Create engaging digital content for our website and social media including written copy, video and graphics.

• Analysing campaign engagement KPIs to inform future strategies and approaches to best engage existing and new audiences.

• Create marketing materials for external use, eg. corporate pitch documents, fundraising packs, gig programmes, flyers and posters using Canva.

• Co-creating case studies, supporting members to share their stories, their way, amplifying their voices and demonstrating the impact of our choirs to stakeholders.

• Co-lead our co-produced ‘Digital Storytellers’ programme with our Community Participation Manager, supporting members to manage their own local social media accounts, sharing their stories and raising awareness of their choirs to new audiences.

• Maintain, organise and populate CWNN’s media library and YouTube channel.

• Write and distribute press releases to both regional and national press and media, fielding media enquiries and building our media contacts.

• Co-ordinate our internal communications programme, working with senior leadership team.

• Carry out any other tasks that arise that are within the scope and purpose of the post as requested by your line manager.

About you 

Essential:

• You’ll have a proven track record in delivering successful, innovative and impactful charity communications content and strategies.

• You’ll have a good understanding of how fundraising and engagement campaigns can convert individuals into donors and advocates.

• You’ll have a creative eye and strong writing skills, with experience of bringing compelling stories to life across various platforms and media, to connect with a diverse range of supporters, funders and stakeholders.

• You’ll be able to multitask effectively, be highly organised with strong attention to detail.

• You’ll be proactive, self-motivated and can identify and act on opportunities as they arise.

deafPLUS is a dynamic and evolving organisation focused on improving the life chances of deaf and visually impaired individuals in certain regions, including Birmingham and West of England. Your Role:

As our Finance Officer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the CEO, external accounting provider, and managers to ensure financial efficiency across the organisation.

About You

The Central Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Central Operations Manager with administrative support for the Society, which includes finance administration, membership and grants administration and journal sales processing. There is also a requirement for the postholder to support with some facilities management and office support activities.
The postholder will contribute to and support the Central Operations Manager and the Chief Operations Officer in the delivery of all of the Trustee Board’s strategic objectives and particularly in relation to long-term sustainability by maximising cost savings and efficiencies.

We’re looking for a proactive professional to support our mission to transform loneliness into connection among isolated people and under-served groups in Tower Hamlets. About the role: 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Philanthropy Officer to join our small, ambitious team and help secure the funding that makes our work possible.  Our Philanthropy team builds meaningful relationships with supporters—particularly charitable trusts and foundations—to secure a significant proportion of Future Frontiers’ income. 

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll help build a sustainable pipeline of high-value supporters. You’ll focus on researching new funding opportunities, crafting high-quality funding applications, writing tailored reports, and ensuring excellent donor stewardship.

You’ll bring exceptional writing skills, outstanding attention to detail and a proactive, people-focused approach. You may have fundraising experience, or bring a strong understanding of relationship-building from another sector. You’ll thrive on spotting opportunities, shaping persuasive cases for support and connecting with supporters.

You’ll also be highly organised, keeping accurate records and ensuring our funders feel appreciated and connected to our work.  This role would suit someone looking to take their next step in fundraising—perhaps you already work in a fundraising or grant-writing role and are ready for more ownership, or you bring strong transferable skills and are excited to grow into the role. If you’re an excellent communicator with a passion for our mission and for building high-impact relationships, we’d love to hear from you. 

Your responsibilities: 

Identify new funding opportunities:

You’ll lead on identifying charitable trusts, foundations and major donors with the potential to support Future Frontiers. Through proactive research and collaboration with other teams, you’ll build and qualify a strong pipeline of prospective funders, matching them with appropriate asks. A key part of the role is ensuring a steady flow of new prospects, with regular research and outreach to grow our portfolio of supporters. 

Build and manage a portfolio of supporters: 

You’ll develop a strong understanding of existing and prospective supporters, enabling you to provide thoughtful, tailored relationship management. With guidance from the Head of Philanthropy, you’ll help build and maintain relationships with a range of grant-making trusts and foundations, securing donations and delivering proactive stewardship to encourage continued support. You’ll also act as an ambassador for Future Frontiers, creating opportunities for supporters to connect with our work. 

Write applications for funding:

You’ll craft high-quality funding proposals that make a persuasive case for how each supporter’s contribution will make a difference for young people facing disadvantage. Every application will be tailored to the funder’s priorities, and your exceptional writing skills and attention to detail will ensure each one is clear, accurate and compelling. 

Report on impact:

You’ll demonstrate the difference our supporters make by delivering high-quality reports, updates and case studies that bring our impact to life. You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation to gather the right information and write clear and engaging updates that reflect each funder’s interests and requirements. You’ll manage reporting timelines and ensure our commitments are met, helping to secure future funding and strengthen relationships. 

Keep accurate and detailed records: 

You’ll make sure all fundraising activity is recorded promptly and accurately, helping us track relationships, deadlines and progress. You’ll support the team’s efficiency by keeping organised records and helping to manage key administrative processes. You’ll also ensure we meet data protection and fundraising regulations, including GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice. 

Contribute to wider organisational priorities: 

You’ll be a collaborative team member, supporting cross-team projects and organisation-wide initiatives as needed. From time to time, you may also be asked to take on other duties in line with your role.

Global Campaigns Officer - Health 

Contract type: Permanent (37.5 hours per week), Full time

About the Team: You will be joining a friendly and supportive group of campaigners who have big plans for the future of WaterAid’s public campaigning work, and we are excited for you to join us! You will be line managed by the Senior Campaigner on Health. The Global Campaigns Team sits within the wider Global Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns department.

About the Role: As our Global Campaigns Officer, you will be a key part of the team driving forward progress on our women’s health campaign. In this role, you will work with policy, advocacy and communication colleagues across the organisation, including country, regional and global teams, as well as with external grassroots groups and partner organisations.  
 

In particular, you will be responsible for some specific high-profile projects for the women’s health campaign, with the support of the Senior Campaigner. Projects could include coordinating our campaigning presence at a UN summit; working with country staff and women’s groups to produce a series of creative activities to enable women’s voices to be heard across the world; and leading on gathering data, learnings and stories for our monitoring and evaluation work. You will also keep the ‘engine’ of the global campaigns team by ensuring key working group and decision-making meetings are scheduled and internal communications compiled. We’ll welcome your insight and ideas and provide an environment where you can hone and develop your campaigning skills too. 

You’ll also:  

• Be an active member of specific campaign working groups and project teams, adding value by bringing your insights, ideas and solutions. 
• Work alongside a number of country offices to support the delivery of their campaign plans, alongside other colleagues.  
• Build excellent working relationships with country teams, federation member teams and others responsible for delivery of their campaigns.  
• Support the Head of Campaigns and Senior Campaigner by tracking progress and engagement across country offices - documenting this in the campaign project plan.  
• Maintain key tools that support the operation of the campaign, including a contact management system – that tracks engagement with decision makers and key influencers – and the campaign calendar. 
• Provide administrative support relating to WaterAid’s global campaigns, including scheduling key meetings, coordinating feedback processes and taking minutes.  
• Develop communications tools, resources and presentations that will aid the delivery of the campaign, liaising with relevant internal stakeholders.  

Requirements

You will be a self-starter, a great team player, a confident cross-cultural communicator and have strong project management skills.  

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Past background in campaigning, with an ability to evidence skills in public mobilisation (such as utilising communications, events, stunts, social media & other tactics to get the public behind your campaign).  
• Experience of working on complex multi-stakeholder projects related to public campaigning/ advocacy/influencing. 
• Excellent digital communication skills including social media and working virtually, as well as Microsoft Office (including Teams, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).   
• Strong commitment to working in partnership with others in a collaborative and equitable way.  

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have: 

• Experience working with colleagues in different country contexts.  
• Previous experience working with or leading groups of grassroots or community campaigners
