About the role:
This role is based at the Victim Support office in Gloucester (Eastgate House) with travel expected throughout Gloucestershire. We are looking for someone who is YPVA qualified or willing to work towards this qualification.
As the STREET DA CYP Team Leader you will:
- Ensure the delivery of excellent services to victims of crime and retain and develop contracts for services by supporting and managing operational staff
- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and management team, in order to achieve the implementation of work force plans and the development of the service to maximise positive outcomes for those that access the service
- Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services & work collaboratively with professionals to improve the access to and quality of services for children & young people.
You will need:
- An understanding of the Criminal justice system and the impact of crime on victims and witnesses
- Proactively promote the service, raise awareness of services & work collaboratively with professionals to improve the access to and quality of services for children & young people.
- An understanding of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, inclusivity, safeguarding and risk assessments
- A practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of records in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
- Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
- Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus

These roles are two of three lead managers that report into the Head of Service, working as a group to provide collective leadership. People experiencing homelessness, rough sleepers, survivors of domestic abuse, adults with learning disabilities and older people are just some of the groups the team supports.
About the roles
You will drive the GLA’s efforts with partners to be a system leader in homelessness prevention, rough sleeping, and specialist and supported housing provision. The work of the team is shifting to respond to a highly complex environment in a broad system, to make the most impactful interventions for the Londoners we serve. We are looking for proactive and highly organised people with excellent problem solving, influencing and negotiating skills. They will also need to be skilled and adaptable leaders who can manage change with compassion and focus.
You will oversee and lead teams delivering a range of capital and revenue funding programmes. As a system leader, you will consider and design programmes, services and interventions to ensure they maximise value for Londoners. Title: Male Live In Support Worker

Jigsaw4u is a charity with a proud 27 year history in supporting mental health and wellbeing in South West London. We are seeking a support worker who is passionate about assisting carers, and who shares our values and person-centred approach.
Role in Context
Jigsaw4u’s Carers Peer Support Service supports carers in the London Borough of Merton through emotional support and access to information, opportunities and practical advice.
Working alongside other VCSE peer support providers in the Borough, other carer organisations or providers of statutory carers work, the post holder will work on improving pathways and coordinating services for carers experiencing mental health issues, often as a direct result of caring. The post holder should have lived experience of caring for someone with mental health challenges, or direct experience of mental health challenges as a result of their caring responsibilities.
- Purpose of the job
Be responsible in the designated area for:
- Delivery of one-to-one and group peer support sessions designed for and by carers
- Collecting data and reporting on direct work delivered with carers
- Collaborative working with the Merton Peer Support Partnership

- Main duties
- Providing emotional and wellbeing support for carers through one-to-one, person-centred interventions

- Empower and support carers to become involved in local Mental Health developments, particularly within SWLSTG
- Encourage and assist the uptake of Carers Assessments and the ability of carers and their families to assess their own needs to develop solutions and manage resources
- Assist carers in accessing opportunities for breaks from caring through activities within the partner organisations and external agencies
- Delivering time-limited, outcome-focused interventions to support personal outcomes so carers feel emotionally and practically supported

The role
In this role you will complete risk and needs assessments with victims of domestic abuse who live in the City of Manchester and across Greater Manchester. You will liaise with referring agencies, actively contribute to risk management procedures and team working. You will carry out a large and varied range of practical support which may include safety planning, advocacy, risk assessment and risk management. We also offer emotional support to those people we work with, encouraging and supporting them to rebuild lost confidence and self-esteem. The person we are supporting is at the core of all the work that you will do.
As part of the Manchester Domestic Abuse Support team, you will also be supporting the partners of those who are undertaking behaviour change programmes.
As part of the Thriving Families Model, you will be co-locating and working within a multi-disciplinary team.
About you
You’ll have a deep understanding of the nature of domestic abuse and its effects on clients and children, as well as the reasons behind abusive behaviours towards intimate partners.
Your knowledge extends to the range of statutory and voluntary agencies that clients and their children may encounter, and you are aware of the impact of domestic abuse on children and parenting, including the additional needs of clients from BMER communities.
You will have experience in working with clients on issues of domestic abuse, providing one-to-one support and advice, managing your own workload and administration, and assessing the safety needs of clients. You will have handled safeguarding disclosures and referrals, and you communicate clearly with a range of people both over the telephone and in person.
You will be organised, able to use your initiative, and work effectively as part of a multi-service team. Your administrative skills are strong, and you are adept at using a computer to maintain effective systems.
You will also be flexible, willing to work evenings and able to travel independently. Additionally, you have an understanding of the legal options available to clients, the child protection system, and services for those experiencing domestic violence. You wil have experience liaising with social workers and other professionals, and in related areas such as substance misuse, child protection, or family support, is desirable.
Fluency in an additional language and skills in group work are also advantageous. You stay updated with best practices and new initiatives.
