2wish exists to provide support to anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under.
Aims:
- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
Context of role:
2wish support anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We provide immediate casework support, as well as ongoing services including counselling, complementary therapies, play therapy, coffee mornings, support events and a respite cottage.
As we continue to expand our services across England the successful candidate will play a central role in the ongoing development of our relationships with stakeholders. Initiative and drive play an integral part of ensuring our professional stakeholders remain engaged and champion our service to those we support. The post holder will provide immediate and ongoing emotional and practical support to families, friends, witnesses and professionals affected by the sudden death of a child or young adult.
Main duties:
Service:
- To initiate immediate support for a caseload of families whose children and young people aged 0-25 have died suddenly and unexpectedly across the county you reside in and bordering counties
- To contact all families within 24-48 hours of the referrals by telephone
- Complete an initial assessment of families' needs to identify and plan the support as required in line with safeguarding and risk reduction
- Offer emotional support and advice to a case load of families through home visits and ongoing weekly telephone calls
- To liaise with the Counselling Support and Outreach Coordinator, who is responsible for organising formal support such as counselling, complementary therapy or play therapy, subject to consent from the bereaved individual
- To work with hospital staff, GP’s, police officers, coroner offices, mental health teams and other healthcare professionals to raise awareness of and promote referrals into the charity from the county you reside in and bordering counties
- To liaise with other professionals working alongside the family to provide a holistic and multiagency approach to support
- Attend relevant forums within the area
- To deliver awareness training in hospitals and other healthcare settings, schools and workplaces on the use of the bereavement boxes, the services we offer, ho to refer into the charity and bereavement awareness
- To ensure families have been offered a memory box and coordinate these when required
- Facilitate debriefs within professional settings following a traumatic or sudden death of a child or young person
- To work with hospital trusts to establish and maintain the upkeep of suitable bereavement suites for bereaved individuals to use as required
- Maintain stock of 2wish memory boxes and deliver boxes to partner organisations as required
- To submit monthly/quarterly/annual reports to Bereavement Services Manager as required
- To signpost and/or refer to other agencies as required that can provide support as needed
- Cover members of the support team for annual leave and/or sickness
- To travel to attend in-person team meetings and in-person training as required
General:

What we do for you:
Salary: Starting salary of £26,500 per annum, with the opportunity for an increase through the annual appraisal structure.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.
Pension: 2wish operate a contributory pension scheme. 2wish will auto-enrol you into the scheme in accordance with it's auto-enrolment obligations. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join their new Supported Lodgings service in Cheshire West and Chester. This service aims to provide long term placements for 16- and 17-year-old young people with care experience in the homes of vetted and trained Community Hosts. Working alongside the floating support and accommodation services that provide structured support packages, they enable young people to develop a range of skills as they move towards independent living.

The role
- First point of contact for young people and referral partners wanting to access the supported lodgings service.
- Lead on the assessment of needs and risk, predominantly focused on suitable risk management plans for the safeguarding, matching and placement of young people in the homes of hosts.
- Arrange all aspects of a young person's stay with a host, ensuring they feel welcomed and supported, considering the support needs of individuals.
- Ensure the health and safety of the environment for young people and hosts through regular checks and reporting.
- Provide regular support and planning sessions for young people,
- Work with young people, hosts and other agencies, to prepare them for independent living and access longer term, appropriate accommodation using support plans.
- You will be part of a team responsible for a 24 hour on call service - on call will be subject to staffing levels but currently this is approx. once every 3 months (a week at a time).
- Recruit, vet and train hosts both formally and informally.
- Be proactive in maintaining host' skills and motivation, including training and celebration events, and provide opportunities for them to shape service delivery.
- Carry out regular checks on host accommodation and assisting them to make necessary changes.
- Ensure that all hosts are made to feel safe, secure and valued.
- Proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing and ongoing housing needs of young people, working in accordance with safeguarding, data protection and information sharing protocols.

The Role
Resources for Autism has been providing services from 858 Finchley Road for many years and now working in partnership with the London Borough of Barnet are excited to be establishing the space as an Autism Hub for Children and Young People (CYP). The vision of the hub, is to create a welcoming, safe, neuro-affirmative place where autistic people and those who love and care for them can access the support and social opportunities they need at the right time, enabling them to live their best life. It will also be a place where professionals can connect, collaborate and learn ensuring services are joined-up and effective.
The service will offer a range of support to parents and carers and children and young people with autism in Barnet. The service offer could include:
- Advice support and signposting to the autism community pre and post diagnosis
- Weekly drop ins
- Social groups for autistic young people and those who love and care for them.
- Calendar of monthly workshops on specific issues addressing the needs of parent carers/ adults
- Behaviour surgeries for parents
- Autism Training to partner organisations
The Autism Support Worker roles provide access, support, outreach and reception services within an Children & Young people’s Autism Hub, and support to the Hub Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring that services delivered in the hub are effectively supported, monitored and focused to meet the needs of autistic children 0-19 Years and their families.
We are looking for a values-driven candidate with previous experience of working with and supporting children and young people and families. Knowledge and experience of working with autism is preferred but an understanding of SEN/LD will be essential.
You will have a great team of people around you and the opportunity to be a part of an innovative wellbeing project which will make enhance the offer for the Autism Community of Barnet.
Main Responsibilities:
· Provide an efficient and welcoming access point for families accessing a range of services at the CYP Autism hub, working as part of a team of staff providing support for effective service delivery.
· Provide and facilitate advice, guidance and signposting to families accessing the Autism Hub. This may be via telephone, email or in person.
· Support and manage a small caseload of 15-20 families requiring a ‘medium’ level of bespoke support and interventions, ensuring clear aims and goals are set and then empowering the children/family to achieve these.
· Host and/or co-host drop-in sessions, coffee mornings and/ or information sessions for CYP and families on different associated topics connected to autism. This will include facilitating peer support sessions and co delivered ‘workshops’ with partners on different themes.
· Provide effective administrative support to the Hub Business Manager, carrying out administrative duties as directed.
· Support the identification and registration of families with children 0-19 Years within the Hub, working alongside 0-19 Early Help Practitioners and Barnet CSC to encourage and monitor access to provision to ensure that emerging needs are met at the earliest opportunity and access data is correctly recorded and up to date.
· Ensure that activities, access and registration details are captured on RfA’s databases, supporting the Hub Manager to collate data and ensure accurate recording.
· Support the identification, monitoring and planning for eligible families and children within Barnet CSC to advise eligible families of the Hub, it’s services and support and the services available via other partners to ensure maximum take up and access of the service.
· Ensure that any families requiring additional support are flagged up with the Hub Manager and Barnet CSC staff to maintain an effective link to more targeted support and providing continuity of intervention.
· Ensure that local families are given opportunities to become involved in the planning and delivery of services, particularly those in need of support.
· Support meeting and venue booking arrangements, providing administrative support for hub staff, meetings, taking responsibility for sending out invitations, compilation of packs, papers and minute-taking.
· Take responsibility for own role in child protection, parenting, health and safety and premises issues and other related functions to contribute to a co-ordinated team approach to child safety and well-being.
· Undertake training and development necessary to develop in your role as an autism specialist.
· The role requires direct contact with a range of families accessing services. The role will involve working with different partner agencies.
· Some travel may be required across Barnet.
· Uphold and adhere to the values of RfA at all time.
· Ensure there is always compliance with RfA’s safeguarding policies and procedures.

Essential
Experience of working successfully in a people service delivery position

Job Description
Main Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Process and reconcile financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Skills required:
Essential skills
- High level of experience in using QuickBooks, preferably QuickBooks Online and Excel

- Able to create / delete / close nominal account codes, classes and locations
- Experience in project finance and ideally should have worked on USAID and other large-scale projects.
- Able to input or amend budget information
- Reconcile bank accounts and other nominal accounts
- Make allocations including split allocations base on programme budgets
- Download various reports from QuickBooks into Excel files
- Able to analyse and present financial information to non-finance colleagues
Accounting and Finance :
- Ability to prepare up to Trial Balance Level (using Quick Books online)

• Salary: £13.46 per hour (£26,200 FTE)
• Hours: Shifts are 5.5 hours and we are looking for additional staff members to cover 1-4 shifts per week, ensuring that we are accessible to visitors between 6 - 10pm every evening. Initially we will require temporary cover for 1-2 shifts per week, but there is potential for this to increase to up to 4 shifts as part of a permanent role.

As a Crisis Café Support Worker, you’ll provide compassionate, person-centred support to individuals experiencing mental health crises. You’ll play a key role in de-escalating crises, fostering recovery, and empowering clients to develop self-management strategies.
