We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, creative Fundraising Manager to lead on a new strategic fundraising approach. Joining the Development Team, you will be instrumental and at the forefront in leading and securing fundraising for our innovation and development projects and companies.

About the role:

The fundraising manager will be tasked with developing and implementing a fundraising strategy for Thera Group of companies, including writing grant proposals, diversifying, and scaling up the Groups income streams, managing donor relations and reporting.

The Fundraising Manager will work with local companies and other teams within Thera Trust to generate projects and develop a pipeline of income to support delivery.

We are looking for a Fundraising Manager to join the team who can:

• Work closely with stakeholders across all aspects of Thera and externally
• Support leaders in subsidiary companies to consider their fundraising strategies
• Robust knowledge of Compliance with – and enforcement of – fundraising regulation processes
• Comprehension and communication of key details from bid specifications
• Able to identify barriers to funding opportunities and solution[1]finding to limit or overcome those barriers
• Work with others to upskill their ability to fundraise at a local level.
• Maintain pipeline of opportunities, supported by a communication plan to keep existing and potential investors informed.
• Record data to support evidence and reporting to funders
• Respond to fundraising trends in our data but also factors external to the organisation.

Ideal Criteria and Experience for the Chief Executive Officer

• By the Equality Act 2010, it is a genuine occupational requirement that the post holder is a practising Christian. This is essential to the credibility of the organisation and performance of this role and ensures that the charity is following its governing document.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Ability to speak and lead church meetings to promote the work of the organisation amongst the local churches.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of successfully implementing organisational strategies and driving positive change.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and inspire a shared vision.
• Demonstrate experience in fundraising, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and relationship management.
• Financial acumen and experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
• Understanding of governance principles and experience working with boards of directors/trustees.
• Knowledge of UK regulations governing charities and business including knowledge of company administration and charity governance.

This role is at the heart of the charity, responsible for harnessing and developing our organisational knowledge and using this to support learning, insight and connection across all teams. This will include responsibility for the delivery of our learning and development strategy, and the planning and management of three staff away days per year for our team of 200. You will also support internal communications and processes to help build capacity and efficiency across all aspects of our work, and be a member of our extended leadership team.

You will be based at our office in Vauxhall but able to work from home for the majority of the time if you prefer.

About the Role

The Corporate Partnerships Executive joins an energised and committed community team with significant ambitions for developing and sustaining relationships with new and existing supporters, through fundraising and corporate partnerships. This role is key to the success of the strategic growth plan for our future.

The Corporate Partnership Executive will report to the Corporate Partnerships Manager and work closely with the Community and Philanthropy Teams. The role will require you to support the team with the strategic direction of our corporate programme, by identifying, researching, and stewarding our portfolio of corporate partnerships to help deliver our fundraising ambitions. The post holder will ensure that we manage all our partnerships with consistency and excellence.

You will create and deploy a corporate strategy and stewardship programme for all corporate supporters. To be successful in this role you will be proactive in engaging and supporting our corporate partners whilst working closely with the fundraising team. The Digital Inclusion Community Builder role is part of an exciting partnership, the 'Gloucestershire Digital Hubs Project' which aims to increase digital inclusion across all six districts in Gloucestershire, offering free, accessible, tailored support to individuals, facilitated by a group of seven partner organisations.  As the partner covering Gloucester, we aim to establish digital hubs in communities across the city, enabling people to access and use digital technologies to enhance their lives and participate fully in society. The primary focus is on addressing existing digital inequalities that prevent people from reaching their full potential.

Supported by our team of community builders, you will continue the work of facilitating the development of community-based digital hubs, leveraging existing connections, spaces, and organisations within local communities. Your role will involve understanding how digital tools can support and enhance people's existing skills and passions, as well as encouraging them to share their expertise through formal and informal volunteer roles.

4. Digital Champion Volunteer Programme:

• Recruit, train, and manage Digital Champion volunteers to build sustainability across digital hubs in Gloucester.
• Provide ongoing support and create a welcoming and inclusive environment for volunteers.

5. Funding and Resource Support:

• Signpost and share knowledge between hubs on how to access funding for their ideas or projects.
• Support the development of a sustainable strategy for digital inclusion across Gloucester.

Women V Cancer is a unique partnership between Dream Challenges, Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action. Together, we have raised more than £20 million in fundraising across a portfolio of one day mass participation cycling events and overseas multi-day cycling challenges.

The partnership has big aspirations for growth and is looking for someone to join as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer with key responsibilities in relationship management across the partners, reporting and analysis, events marketing, and participant stewardship.

The right candidate will be a self-driven and experienced fundraiser, whose knowledge of marketing strategies in fundraising and events, alongside an impactful supporter journey, can enable the development and growth of this long-standing partnership. You will have experience of the charity sector, event delivery, and social media marketing.

Key Areas 

Marketing and stewardship

• Increase participant numbers on events through comprehensive and diverse marketing campaigns.
• Assist in digital advertising of events including creations of social media campaigns and PPC.
• Assisting in maintenance and digital creation on the branded WVC microsite.
• Develop the partnerships first user-generated video content campaigns, and influencer campaigners, alongside the group Digital Marketing Manager.
• Assist with automated journeys from lead generation marketing.

• Establishing a clear payment schedule for both sides for marketing contributions and donations.
• Track performance including registration numbers and income – reporting back to all parties.
• Undertake analysis work to improve understanding of current audience demographics and their interests, reviewing this regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Undertake regular competitor analysis work to scope trends and gaps in the marketplace – looking at how we benchmark ourselves against our competitors.
• Support on the strategic planning devised by all partners, providing insight learnt from the portfolio and audience analysis to help shape this.

General 

• Keep up to date with sector knowledge to ensure best practice. 
• Identify new trends and scope out new product development. 
• Support all elements of event delivery (including volunteer recruitment, training weekends), attending UK and overseas events when required.

This role will see the successful candidate manage and develop a portfolio of successful national events. You will be involved in all aspects of the project management cycle from marketing and participant recruitment to supporter stewardship and race day logistics. With support of the Senior Fundraising Manager (Events & Community) you will prepare and track budgets for your assigned events and continuously look for opportunities to improve income and participant retention.

The role requires a good attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, sensitivity and flexibility. Whether you come with direct events fundraising experience or have transferable skills that the role requires, we will support and develop you to excel in your role.

Meningitis Research Foundation is based in Bristol, but the role is flexible and is open to remote working with monthly visits to the office (this will need to be more regular during events season).
