Salary on appointment: £31,760 - £34,936 per annum*

*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £31,760 to £47,640. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of 10% above the base salary, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Through our refreshed strategy, we’ll build on this experience and grow our impact through activities that prioritise the needs of communities who have the least access and face the most barriers walking outside in nature.

Purpose of Role

This role takes a data-led approach to maximising the impact of our communications to raise the profile of the organisation and achieving business outcomes through strategic communication and marketing efforts.

The role holder will work alongside the wider Communications & Campaigns team to deliver agreed GB-wide communications and manage nation-specific communications as part of an integrated and coordinated programme of communications.

The role holder has an innate connection and understanding of the Welsh context and can adapt and deliver national issues to local audiences, as well as bringing our work in Wales to a national audience across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

Communications planning

• Work closely with the Ramblers Cymru team to stay abreast of projects and local issues.
• Work with the Strategic Communications Manager to lead a structured communications planning process that ensures key audiences are receiving timely communications in line with their needs, via appropriate channels (GB-wide or nation-specific). A key part of this process will be sequencing to ensure that audiences are not overwhelmed by multiple/fragmented messages.
• Work closely with the broader communications team to develop strategically aligned messaging and campaign assets for both GB-wide and nation-specific communications activities and advocacy campaigns.

Communications Delivery

• Project manage and deliver GB-wide and nation-specific communications activities across owned, earned and (where relevant) paid channels, including managing timeframes and budgets, mobilising other teams, seeking collaboration opportunities with external partners, setting and measuring KPIs

Channel management

• Work in partnership with the Member & Supporter Experience team and the broader communications team to plan and deliver GB-wide and nation-specific member and volunteer communications.
   
• Work in partnership with the Social & Community Officer to present aligned messaging to our audiences, to drive engagement with our posts and to grow the reach of our GB-wide and nation-specific social media channels.

• Work in partnership with the Website Officer to present aligned messaging to our audiences and to maximise the impact of our website and digital marketing to grow our supporter base.

• Work in partnership with the PR & Media Officer to maximise the reach and impact of our public relations across our target audiences in England, Scotland & Wales.

Content Development

• Work in collaboration with the wider Communications & Campaigns team to source and produce communications materials and assets (photos, stories, videos, graphics etc) that can be used on GB-wide and nation-specific channels to help build the Ramblers brand and relevance to our target audiences
   

Data analysis and reporting:

• Monitor and analyse communications performance using key metrics and data insights.
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations to inform future campaigns and strategies.
   

Innovation and improvement:

• Apply data insights to shape and improve channel strategy and tactics, using a test-and-learn approach.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance campaign effectiveness.
• Implement feedback and lessons learned to refine and improve campaign strategies.

Other

• Undertake such other duties as may be required of the post.
• Engage and proactively develop excellent working relationships across the organisation.

The Person 

Knowledge and Experience

• Ability to develop and implement effective communications activities aligned with organisational goals.

• Proficient in the Welsh language. As a minimum be able to review copy provided by a translator. Ideally able to write Welsh copy from scratch and conduct media interviews in Welsh.

• Proven experience in managing and executing successful paid and no cost/low-cost communications campaigns, preferably within a non-profit or advocacy/campaigning organization.

• Multi-channel communications and marketing experience including PR, social media and digital

• Experience of writing for different audiences ensuring key messages are delivered in the brand tone of voice

• Strong skills in creating engaging content across various media platforms.

• Proficiency in analysing campaign performance data and deriving actionable insights.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement and public relations.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

• Strong organisational skills with experience in managing multiple projects and deadlines.

• Experience of working with volunteers

• Understanding of the importance of 360° branding to ensure that everything we do across our comms and our activities helps build the brand

The Yehudi Menuhin School based in Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to have a significant impact on the lives of our current and future pupils.  The Yehudi Menuhin School operates a needs-blind admissions process, and we remain determined that no pupil should ever turn down a place at YMS due to a lack of funding.  More than 90% of pupils need help to take up their place, and grants from trusts and foundations are a vital source of income for our Bursary Fund, as well as a range of other projects and activities that are of direct benefit to our pupils.

You will join the Development team at an exciting time for the School.  Under new leadership and with pupil numbers at an all-time high, fundraising continues to play a crucial role in securing the future of musical education and helping to develop the next generation of classical musicians.  Our strategy is focused on reaching out to new donors, as well as continuing to engage our loyal body of current supporters, including several engaged grant-making trusts and foundations.

You will build on an existing portfolio of organisations that donate between four and six-figures.  Your ability to develop significant, multi-year relationships with new trusts and foundations will be critical to your success.  The School has also previously secured a grant from the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, managed by the Arts Council, opening the door to possible future funding from statutory sources, which would also fall under your responsibility.  This is a key role in making The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic priorities a reality on the ground.  You will need to be proactive, enterprising and systematic in approaching funders, and be able to engage and manage internal stakeholders.

This is a permanent position, working 9.00am until 5.30pm 4 or 5 days per week.  Some flexibility will be required to attend evening and weekend concerts and events at YMS and in London.

The print magazine is very popular, and we now want to develop a winning digital version alongside the printed version, so one of your responsibilities will be to work with colleagues to oversee its digitisation.

You will also be part of our small but dedicated communications team, which is responsible for delivering not only the magazine, but also the MA’s successful media relations, social media posts and engagement, and the majority of our website content.

Role details

Overall purpose

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations initially, the role holder will have technical leadership and overall responsibility for managing the Data and Innovation team. This team helps Breaking Barriers maximise the value of its data, by conducting analysis and managing the CRM (Salesforce) and related software.

The team works across all areas of the organisation to improve processes, unlock efficiencies through automation and generate insights from data. They ensure that data is utilised to inform any innovations or refinements to our services.

The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial manager with a high level of data literacy. We are looking for someone strategic, highly organised and a strong people and team manager. They will be confident at communicating data in a variety of ways to a large range of audiences, identifying key take-aways and the broader implications of the findings on our clients and programming. They will also be able to train others in key data analysis and communication skills.

Overall purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to lead Breaking Barriers’ employment programme in Birmingham and the West Midlands, and support the Senior Employment Services Manager and Director of Services in ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in the support we provide to clients.  

Working closely with the Senior Employment Services Manager, you will take ownership of delivery within this region and lead on the delivery of the contract, including maintaining effective external stakeholder relationships and providing accurate and timely reporting. You will line manage and support a team of Employment Advisers (“Advisers”), enabling them to provide high-quality support to clients and coordinate the day-to-day operational activity which keeps our programmes running.

You are a highly organised and effective worker who knows when to adopt a creative approach and when to follow the established process. You will have an empathetic manner, be willing to go the extra mile to support clients and be proactive in looking for ways to improve our service. Lived experience would be helpful but is not essential.  

In addition to exceptional people skills, you will be a strong communicator and possess meticulous attention to detail. You will be confident working autonomously, helped by excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and cope with interruptions.

You should have at a demonstrable track record of transferrable work experience in coordinating service delivery, projects or programmes, or another relevant field. Equally important is a demonstrable commitment to working with marginalised populations who face barriers to employment, particularly refugees. A strong interest in employability support and experience delivering employment programmes or careers advice would be a strong advantage.

The Partnership Development Team is comprised of partnership experts across a portfolio of institutional partners. The team seeks to deliver exceptional global partnerships, optimising both funding and influence. The team works closely with colleagues from across the Global Programmes and Policy, Advocacy & Campaigns Division, other Save the Children members and with Save the Children International (SCI) country and regional teams to deliver on our partnership objectives. About the role

As the Account Manager you will contribute to and effectively support our global programme partnerships work, to achieve Save the Children's strategic objectives.

The focus of the role will include maximising the impact of SCUK's relationships with the UK Government including Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), ensure effective knowledge management and capacity building for the UK Government account internally – including for UK Government funded programmes, pipeline and influencing work.

You will support and liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders to optimise our UK Government engagement, in pursuit of specific partnership opportunities. As well as contribute to the development of the wider partnership strategy, lead and contribute to cross team projects.

 In this role, you will: 

• Ensure a broad-ranging and inclusive partnership. This includes:
  • Contributing to the implementation of SCUK's overall institutional partnerships strategy.

 About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Skills in partnership management and market assessment in relation to overall positioning with partners.
• Experience, interest and knowledge of current thinking and future trends and thorough understanding of international development issues.
• Proven experience of providing creative and innovative approaches in developing new initiatives that contribute towards partnership objectives.
• Experience in relationship management, working with Governments, donors, trusts and foundations, or equally demanding partners.
• Experience of undertaking industry trend and donor specific research, finding relevant, reliable, and up to date information quickly.

Send My Friend to School Campaign Manager

The coalition

Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.

It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.

Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.

Location

This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week. 

Terms & Conditions

This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. There is likely to be occasional evening and weekend work involved, for which time off in lieu will be received. Holidays are 25 days pro rata per year plus bank holidays. Line Management

Although working solely on Send My Friend to School coalition activities the Campaign Manager will be employed as part of the Results UK team. Consequently, they will be formally managed by the Results UK Head of Parliamentary Advocacy in terms of workplace-related and employment issues.

The postholder’s work objectives will be agreed and monitored by the Steering Group and the postholder will report to the Steering Group on work priorities, objectives and outcomes.

The purpose of this role is:

1. Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Send My Friend to School campaign 

2. Coordinate the Send My Friend to School coalition, engaging the membership, managing the finances and coalition communications, and offering support to the working groups

3. Line manage the Send My Friend to School Campaigns Officer

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the Send My Friend to School campaign

• Lead the development of a collaborative campaign strategy on a selected theme under the umbrella of Sustainable Development Goal 4

• Develop a campaign narrative based on the selected theme) which our schools audience can readily engage with and be motivated by

• Manage the design and production of schools materials and learning resources, including sourcing suppliers, story gathering in conjunction with coalition partners, content production and editing

• Oversee the development and promotion of a creative action which is appropriate for a schools audience, is highly innovative and allows for varied levels of engagement and activity: work with coalition colleagues in devising and promoting the campaign through member organisations’ networks and more widely through additional education channels, social media and websites, to ensure mass participation

• Manage the development and promotion of the Send My Friend to School website, social media, e-communications to supporters and writing and editing engaging digital communications 

• Be accountable for the coalitions’ youth work activities (Campaign Champions Programme and Young Ambassadors Network) that are managed by the Campaigns Officer

• Coordinate monitoring, evaluation and learning for the campaign

Coordinate the Send My Friend coalition

• Manage internal communications for the coalition and undertake engagement work with coalition member representatives to ensure active participation in coalition activities, good information flows, and to help ensure that activities across the coalition are well aligned and strategic

• Be the first point of contact for existing and potential coalition members and developing new partnerships, for instance with other campaigning organisations working on education for all

• Organise Joint Working Group and Steering Group meetings, ensuring that minutes are written up (by Campaigns Officer) and action points are taken forward

• Manage the coalition budget and financial reporting to the Steering Group, and undertake an annual fundraising drive from coalition members

• Maintain and update the website with news, publications and relevant content and ensure member lists and email groups are kept up to date

• Act as the UK link person with GCE International – the primary point of contact for GCE regionally (Europe and North America) as well as internationally/globally - researching and compiling coalition updates where required, participating in international conference calls, fielding appropriate information to coalition members and collating feedback as necessary

• Collaborate with working group members and the APPG secretariat on planning and delivery of activities including policy papers, launch events or meetings with parliamentarians

• Support coalition colleagues in gathering and collating inputs on policy documents, meetings, events, campaign plans and activities

• Where fundraising opportunities exist engage the coalition to increase and diversify its funding base and enable expansion of the schools campaigning activities
