Critical Values in the delivery of this role
- To assess, plan and develop the wider multi–disciplinary use of the Stud as a community garden and ecologically sustainable resource by using the value of sustainability.
- Work with the Service Development Manager to maximise the value of partnership and the opportunities on site guaranteeing its development as a social enterprise and local training resource for people with a range of disabilities and enduring mental health support needs.
- Employ the values of professionalism and staff recognition and support staff, volunteers and those working on site to diversify its working environment and increase its revenues through product development, sales, and corporate relationships.
- Work with the Service Development Manager, staff, clients and Stud volunteers to increase access to the site as a community and therapeutic space and encourage the values of empowerment and independence.
Key Responsibilities for this role
- To support the Service Development Manager, Skills and Activities Coordinator, Support Staff and Volunteers in leading the development of the Stud Nursery as a viable social enterprise
- To ensure there is a weekly, monthly and seasonal horticulture plan in place (created in partnership with the Support Workers) which reflects the resources needed for client activities, product sales development and events
- To advise and support the Skills and Activities Coordinator in developing practical skills and/or qualification for people/groups using and supporting the sites development to encourage independence and empowerment
- To mentor and coach those using the sites services to lead and shape the sites programme of development as a sustainable community space and social enterprise.
- Work one Saturday per month, as agreed with the Service Development Manager, to open the nursery to volunteer project gardeners, and as a produce sale point to the local community
- In collaboration with the Skills and Activities Coordinator and Admin Support, to ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met, including site and individual risk assessments, and regularly reviewed to ensure a level of professionalism is being kept at all times
- To manage the Support Workers and Skills and Activities Coordinator, and support the charity’s drive toward values-based recruitment and leadership of its staff, volunteers and those using its services and to ensure staff recognition is held as a core value.

The Junction is an out of hours service, open 365 evenings a year, to support and assist individuals experiencing a mental health concern. Children & Young People’s Residential Practitioners
Salary: £27,400 to £29,000 pa + benefits (based on a 36-hr working week)

The setting is an all-female Children’s Home for 13-to-17-year-olds.
Ideal candidates will join a strong team of Practitioners who put love and kindness into everything they do.
We are passionate about learning and development and committed to providing an outstanding experience for all staff. After completing your probation, we’ll enrol you on a Diploma programme and give you the time, support and incentives to succeed.
Practitioners typically work at least two 12-hr shifts pw, one 8hr shift, and attend team meetings, training, and group thinking space on Fridays from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The total number of working hours is 36 hrs pw. 4hrs per week are allocated to self-study to support the successful completion of your probation and, once enrolled, the Children and Young People’s Practitioner Diploma (Level 4).

Job Purpose: To provide focused 1-1 and group family support for families with children and young people aged 0-19 years old (up to 25 years for young adults with additional needs). Main Responsibilities:
· Manage a case load working in partnership with agencies to provide integrated and planned interventions, giving advice, information, and practical and emotional support to families.
· Undertake direct work with children and their families who are assessed as requiring help and support, both at the Centre, community and in the home environment for emerging need and targeted services, offering timely support and interventions to address identified needs.

· Coordinate and facilitate TAF/TAC meetings and provide precise information.
· Develop community knowledge and links for the benefit of children, young people and their families and the wider family support service.
· Use the various IT systems and programmes to log families progress which includes the Early Help Management system and Outcome Star records.

Within this role you will provide personalised and intensive support via assertive outreach to long-term rough sleepers in the city. Managing a caseload of clients, you’ll maintain clear and accurate records of the support offered, actions to be completed and outcomes achieved.
With a positive attitude towards your work and others, you’ll create dynamic risk assessments with a flexible and creative approach and liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies on behalf of clients including Homeless Day Centre.

Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Recovery Near You service in Wolverhampton. This is a substance misuse service that works with adults aged 18+ and is run in partnership with Nacro and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust.
Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. You’ll work not only from Aquarius offices, but also in primary care, arrest referral, hospital and youth settings and other outreach settings as required. Are you looking for a part time opportunity working in a role that supports vulnerable adults in Bristol?
We are looking for people to join us as part time peripatetic Project Workers, working over the weekends and bank holidays as part of the Bristol Out of Hours Service (BOOHSI). The service provides out of hours trauma informed support to 5 accommodation services across our mixed and Women’s pathway, aimed at strengthening the existing provision of support to clients with multiple needs and experiencing homelessness.
As an out of hours Project Worker, you will work across different accommodation services to provide weekend support to residents and deliver engaging activities which involve clients. Planning your time well, and taking instruction from managers, staff and on-call managers you will:
- Support lead workers, and work with clients to plan and deliver weekend activities for residents.
- Provide vital support and assistance to clients and be available to listen and deal with people’s individual needs as they arise, providing practical and emotional support to clients in a way that is approachable, engaging and flexible.
- Develop a good knowledge of relevant protocols and safety precautions so that you can appropriately deal with emergency situations that arise during your shift.
- Carry out relevant building and welfare checks and carrying out relevant administrative tasks and incident reporting and handover notes.
- Be provided with training and development to ensure you feel confident to carry out your duties and provide person centred support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and helping to make plans to achieve them.
- Work on the weekly shift rota with typical shifts on a Saturday and Sunday from 10am -3pm, and some additional bank holidays.

About you

The AFRUCA Child Protection Family Support Service sits within AFRUCA as one of our most impactful programmes targeting families from a range of ethnic backgrounds across England and Wales. The service works closely with local authorities children’s services in cases involving families on child protection plans or in court proceedings. We provide direct one to one training and support for parents to aid their ability to provide appropriate parenting and ensure a safer, happier home environment for their children.
The AFRUCA Child Protection Service currently has a team of five qualified social workers and supports over 50 families each year. We also provide a therapeutic service where children are being reunified with their parents. We are establishing a child protection legal drop in service for families in contact with children’s services and an advocacy service for parents in the child protection system.
Most of our families are referred by local authorities children’s services as a result of cultural and religious practices which are deemed harmful to children’s well-being. We offer qualified social workers who do not wish to work in the statutory sector with an alternative approach to practising social work where empathy, kindness and support is key to our work with families. Our ultimate aim is a reduction of children in Black and Ethnic communities going into or remaining in foster care. We offer a non oppressive and non judgemental service that helps to promote the well-being of children in safe families.
