Job Title: Positive Engagement Worker

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Positive Engagement Worker to join our team based in Croydon which aims to deliver residential based support to people referred by South London and Maudsley Trust (SLaM). Our residents are referred to gain support with their Mental Health and other multiple complex needs. Our aim is to support them and help them prepare for independent living, whilst managing their individual risks. You will be at the heart of providing person centred support in a tailored way, to help our residents improve their quality of life, and achieve their personal goals through providing flexible support. 

In this role, you will be at the centre of researching, sourcing, and providing various opportunities for our residents. This can include partnering with external employers for employment opportunities, liaising with colleges for courses and upskilling opportunities, or community based projects which residents can get involved in. The role is dynamic and you can put your own ideas forward to bring new ideas to the team to help support our residents have access to wider resources. You will work closely with the rest of the care and support teams to enhance the opportunities available to our residents. 

You will work directly with our residents to support them to overcome their personal barriers and challenges to achieve positive outcomes. You will do this through one to one support sessions, group sessions and activities, and general support with their daily living.

The role further includes:

• Plan and deliver various activities which includes within the service and outside in the local community to help gain a sense of community and belonging. This can include days out to museums, community events and other areas of interest by our residents
• Plan in service events to bring residents together which could include group cooking sessions, games days, sporting events, and religious festivals.
• Keeping support plans up to date using our online portal
• Carrying out housing management support including welfare benefits support

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who face challenges with their mental health and that may have substance dependency. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will be creative in your approach to find new ways to bring people together to gain a sense of community and belonging through various events and activities both in house and externally. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced social and digital media professional to join the leading international horse charity World Horse Welfare. 

The Social and Digital Media Officer plans, creates and publishes the charity’s social media and digital communications, ensuring accurate content and the right brand look, feel and messaging.  Working to the Head of Communications and with the wider team, you will organise and proactively seek out stories and other content from across the charity to engage audiences through our digital media channels, including social platforms, the website and email. A key part of this role is testing and refining approaches to increase reach, engagement, website traffic and donations and to rigorously monitor and evaluate results to inform further activity. 

We are looking for someone who has experience in the management of social media channels, a passion for social and digital media with a creative approach to engaging online audiences.  You will possess first-rate written and oral communications skills, digital content creation including images and video, excellent attention to detail and the ability to write quality copy in a variety of styles quickly.  You must be proactive, confident and capable of working with people at all levels in a variety of spheres. • Work with the CRM Manager to ensure that all campaign data is utilised and captured efficiently, effectively and accurately.

• Work with the Senior Digital Marketing Manager to ensure the Charity optimises digital fundraising opportunities in relation to individual giving.

• Acting as a day-to-day contact with external agencies ensuring high quality delivery of campaigns on time and on budget.

• Maintain a close working relationship with the Supporter Care Officer so that they are aware of all activity and able to respond to enquiries and complaints

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this. 

Their vision is to find a cure for all types of brain tumours. To achieve their mission, they are looking for a Community Fundraiser who will proactively engage with supporters, community groups and volunteers across the West Midlands to join their team of 12 Community Fundraisers across the UK.

The Community Fundraiser (West Midlands) is responsible for providing support and guidance to fundraisers within their communities to achieve their ambitions and ultimately raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research. This is achieved through a wide variety of activities such as helping supporters to make the most of their own fundraising, engaging participants with externally organised events such as the Great Birmingham Run, and encouraging communities to get involved in events organised by Brain Tumour Research such as Wear a Hat Day and Walk for Hope. The Community Fundraiser will be the face of Brain Tumour Research in the area, providing excellent stewardship to existing supporters, and building great relationships with new supporters.

This post has been vacant since Autumn, and as such needs a fundraiser with confidence and capability in fundraising to join the team, provide donor love to the loyal supporters in the area, and approach developing the areas potential with energy and enthusiasm. They will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of the health and wellbeing projects and developing and delivering Green Exercise sessions with the aim of getting people active in the outdoors and building nature connection across South Tyneside and North Tyneside, increasing levels of physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices within the target communities.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering health and wellbeing sessions, particularly in an outdoor environment. With the experience of working within a community or environmental setting. They will also positively raise the awareness of Groundwork through engagement with a variety of partners and clients such as local residents, community groups, voluntary organisations and private companies.

Corporate Fundraising:

• Develop and manage relationships with corporate partners

• Present engaging Lunch & Learns and regular progress reports to corporate partners.

Community Fundraising:

General Fundraising & Administration:
