Are you an experienced and effective finance professional looking to make a difference in the charity sector? Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Finance Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for our financial systems and procedures, and so promote the long-term sustainability of our organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues across the organisation, you will be a key person ensuring that our financial data is complete and accurate, overseeing reporting to our programme funders and our international network, and ensuring best practice in all aspects of financial management. You’ll supervise the Database and Income Processing Officer and the Finance Assistant (position currently vacant).

Job Purpose

As our Finance Manager, reporting to the Director of Finance and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues across the organisation, you will be a key person ensuring that our financial data is complete and accurate, overseeing reporting to our programme funders and our international network, and ensuring best practice in all aspects of financial management. You’ll supervise the Database and Income Processing Officer and the Finance Assistant (position currently vacant).

Key responsibilities

Ensure the integrity of financial data and controls, including budgeting, forecasting, Treasury and cash flow management

· Prepare data ready for monthly accounts, reports, and financial statements. This will include the normal monthly journals, reconciliations, and checks

· Support financial planning, risk management, and decision-making

· Liaise as necessary with colleagues in Habitat for Humanity’s international network for reporting and efficient transmission of funds to overseas affiliates

· Manage payroll, tax returns, and financial reporting for funders

· Provide leadership to finance team members and develop financial policies

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 Purchasing / Expenditure

· Administering commitment and invoice approvals in line with our Delegation of Authority

· Coordinating and verifying expense coding by non-finance staff

· Administering transfers to international partners according to policy

· Other ad hoc payments, including foreign currency transactions

· Reconciling supplier accounts each month

· Ensuring VAT records are accurate and returns made on time

· Maintaining auditable financial records

Income / Donations

· Manage income processing team

· Working with fund-raising teams to ensure all income is appropriately coded and documented

· Importing grants and donations from the CRM system (Raiser’s Edge) to the accounting system and reconciling to bank

· Regular reconciliations between the accounting and CRM systems

· Coding, processing and reconciling other income

· Assisting with Gift Aid claims

Bank

· Administering weekly payment runs and coordinating on-time authorisations

· Processing international transfers

· Currency and treasury management

· Bank account reconciliations

General queries

· Dealing politely and efficiently with questions from inside and outside the organisation

· Dealing assertively and effectively with cases of any deviations from policies and procedures

Record keeping

· Complete and accurate record keeping bearing in mind detailed level of audit compliance

· Logical filing of evidence of transactions, primarily electronic.

Month- and Quarter-End processes

· Preparing nominal journals, such as accruals/prepayments, payroll allocations, depreciation

· Monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

Other duties

 · Checking Employee Expenses Claims (processed by the Office Manager) and final processing

· Assisting Director of Finance and other relevant staff with finance-related questions

· Assisting with the annual audit and preparation of financial statements

· Additional finance admin duties as required

· Run donor budget reports for the Europe region office and internal stakeholders

What we’re looking for

 · A qualified or part-qualified finance professional with at least 3 years’ experience in charity finance, including fund accounting

· Skills in financial control, compliance, management, and reporting

· Knowledge of accounting software (Sage50 and Sun ideally) and downstream spreadsheet and similar tools; a willingness to learn new ways of handling data

· Good summarising and communication skills with the ability to influence colleagues and senior leaders

· A pragmatic, efficient character with a dedication to accuracy and reliability

· A questioning mindset, finding opportunities to improve every day

Job Title: Campaign Manager - Better Business Act

Why this role?

In this role you would be responsible for driving forward the Better Business Act campaign, building relationships with stakeholders who could help us achieve this critical change and using learning from the campaign to contribute to the strategic design and development of B Lab UK’s policy and public affairs work.

In this role you will:

• Campaign Development & Management: Lead and execute the Better Business Act (BBA) campaign, set KPIs, track progress, and ensure alignment with B Lab UK’s policy strategy. Oversee BBA communications, manage relationships with spokespeople, and ensure Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI) principles are embedded.

• Technical Specialist & Relationship Management: Advise senior stakeholders on the BBA, represent it at events, build support among business and policy groups, and manage an events program to advance advocacy.

• Team Management: Line manages the Campaign & Events Coordinator and Public Affairs Officer, providing coaching and ensuring alignment across teams for effective collaboration.

The Community Fundraising Manager plays a key part in delivering our ambitious Charity strategy, linking the hospital charity, NHS staff members, and the local community. • Category management introduction in a highly tactical driven environment
• Demonstrated experience of working as a procurement professional in an organisation with a proven track record of achieving procurement improvements and cost savings.
• A good technical appreciation and experience of several indirect procurement categories that include marketing.
• Experience on whole procurement cycle from challenging requirement, tender, negotiating, contractualisation and supplier relationship management

You will also possess excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and be effective building relationships.

We're hiring a Deputy Service Manager to join our service in Bedford. You will be responsible for the running and oversight of a 19-bed residential service close to Bedford Town Centre offering a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for individuals wishing to engage with support to assist them in increasing their levels of independence.

You will provide overall leadership and management of your service and team who deliver high quality, trauma informed support to residents. You will work to ensure we meet full contract and compliance needs, as well as provide leadership to your team to achieve KPI's and other service requirements.

The role:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

In this role you will ensure high-quality, impactful innovation delivery while positioning Elrha as a global leader in humanitarian innovation. You will be responsible for the provision of strategic technical insights in the design and delivery of focused innovation initiatives and drive the strategic development and integration of innovation methods across our work.

Your application will need to demonstrate: 

• Substantial experience in innovation delivery and practice roles, including leading the design and delivery of innovation programmes with a focus on impact at scale.

• Proven understanding of the humanitarian and/or development system, including the challenges and key stakeholders within the sector(s)

Job Description

Strategy and planning

• Work with the Head of Advice to develop and deliver an operational plan to support delivery of the strategic priorities, which is measured, monitored and reported up to the CEO and Board of Trustees.
• Co-ordinate activities, procedures and systems so as to promote the common policies and practices with the appropriate advice services.
• Ensure that the strategy is accessible to and understood by all staff and volunteers and they know the role they play in achieving our goals.

Risk management and compliance

• Regularly review the risks to which the charity is exposed to relating to Advice Services and provide assurance that systems or procedures are in effective operation to manage those risks.
• Ensure the use of systems in place to meet the requirements of all applicable regulatory bodies relating to the Advice Service Delivery.

People management and development

• In line with the Advice Quality Standard, work with the Head of Advice and the other Advice Quality and Operations Managers to ensure that staff and volunteers have adequate supervision and that advisers have access to support at all times when delivering advice to clients. 
• Ensuring quality - actively supporting the quality of advice by guiding the team to information sources, checking that all aspects of a client's situation have been considered, checking that follow up work is progressed, and that research and campaigns issues are identified.
• Monitor the quality of advice given to clients to ensure that standards meet Citizens Advice requirements. Completing Case Checking, QAA Audits and independent file reviews (IFR) to ensure quality assurance at a whole service level. Using the insights to further develop the services to clients and skills of advisers.
• Maintain and develop standards of service delivery. 
• Take part in internal consistency exercises at least quarterly.

Are you passionate about quality care and driving continuous improvement? We're looking for a Quality and Performance Manager to lead on audits, data analysis, policy implementation and quality initiatives at Mais House, our care home in Bexhill-on-Sea. You’ll work closely with local teams and the central Quality & Care Standards team to maintain high standards, share best practice, and support improvements across other RBL care homes.

This role offers 37.5 hours per week, with shifts between 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday with salary between £45,793 to £49,506 per annum

What you will be doing:

- Plan and deliver a programme of audits, ensuring action plans are implemented and monitored.
- Communicate findings with Registered Managers, department leads, and senior care staff to drive service improvements.
- Identify trends, lessons learned and support the development of robust quality strategies.
- Work closely with clinical colleagues to implement best practice guidance and evaluate its impact.
- Lead and support quality improvement projects within the care home.
- Liaise with external quality teams and regulators to implement local initiatives.
- Support audits at other RBL care homes, collaborating with other Quality and Performance Managers to align standards and share learning.
- Facilitate clinical governance and audit group meetings.

What we re looking for:

- Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in audits, quality assurance, and service improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ongoing CPD in care quality or person-centred practice
- Full UK driving licence

You may also have Level 5 Diploma or equivalent, RGN (Adults) qualification and/or training in audit or quality improvement.
